I really loved the Institute Tech Mask by Niero because it not only looks cool and comes with lots of customization options, but seemed like it could FINALLY solve a problem I've always had with using power armor. It really annoys me that you have to choose between either using a power armor helmet that completely covers your character's face, equip a dumb-looking mining helmet, or go without a light source when using power armor. I was hoping that using the Tech Mask would allow me to have access to a flashlight while using power armor without concealing my character's head, but instead I found that wearing power armor prevents many types of head gear from showing up and working properly, even when they remain marked as being equipped in your inventory. I was honestly DUMBFOUNDED when I was unable to find any mods that address this issue. If anyone has the knowhow to rectify this oversight then consider this an official mod request. Alternatively, if anyone knows of a mod that has already fixed this problem, then kindly reply below.

  3. I really like the Outfit Switcher mod's idea, and was thinking how that could be built upon. What if a script was added to it that automatically switched to a civilian outfit when you entered Diamond City (or vicinity) or Goodneighbor, or an owned settlement. Same with during conversations. The conversations option can be set to: Only in cities Not after combat etc. It would also have a togglable option to automatically remove hats, glasses, bandanas / generally any facial items during conversations. Another option is to ONLY remove facial items (keep combat armor on). Or ONLY glasses, only hats, only rags, etc. And, of course, the option to switch to combat gear out in the wasteland, or triggered just when in combat (not realistic, just nice). --------------------------------------- Another, alternate solution is to use HUDframework and DEF_UI and create two (2) checkboxes next to each wearable item: 1. One that marks it as an "outfit piece" (so that normal outfits / clothing can be worn underneath any armor) 2. And another that toggles its visibility. So you can throw on an outfit or underarmor and still wear your full set, but mark it invisible, and have it automatically appear during combat or toggle it with a key. Still should include a headgear option for conversations (like Mass Effect does). --------------------------------------- Other ideas (that I'm not sold on): Individual conversation and civilian outfits. Outfits to switch to when traveling with each companion. Companion auto outfits!

  5. Hi guys. I think it most likely this forums the users still has the FO3 game. Actually I need some of the Helmet meshes for my Other game MOD. Now I had finished 3 armor each has its own gender and Weight slider. The rest is for Helmet, gauntlet, and Boots. So please reply or PM. Thx.
  6. One that adds or less preferably replaces current headgear, so that I can play as venom snake with things like the NVG, Gas mask and Heavy Balaclava combo from infinite heaven. I adore that combo, it's so cool, but it's only usable on DD members. I can do without the bandannas, I don't use them anyway, but any way I can get that combo on Snake would be great

I am a bimbo to say it mildly around meshes and I honestly haven't given it a fair try, I am way too afraid of it ruining my game for me by doing it all for just one helmet, but this helmet has a lot of value to me, I love it and I always loved it I always played around as a child being a bounty hunter and all that stuff that boys normally do, had great fun good memories enough of the sales pitch.   10. Is anyone working on a veil mod? I've found many jewelry mods out there to spice up my female characters, but I haven't found much content for headgear such as circlets and veils. I think veils are very alluring and am surprised that there haven't been any mods with this clothing in mind. The closest one I've found is the Salome outfit, but that comes with a wig that clips and doesn't often fit with certain characters. If anyone could point me to a mod that works, I'd appreciate it, or if someone is working on one, please let me know!
  11. I was working on a little editing, try to make a custom combat helmet for Fallout 3 by editing existing helm meshes. Simply add a chin strap from Vault Security Helmet to the Combat Helmet. I do the stuff on blender, seems no problem there. I export it with most common armor exporting setup and seems work (Looks different than everyone elses custom helm on Nifscope, it seen positioned directly to the head. I may do something wrong there, but its work in game anyway) in GECK screen without any problem. BUT, when I open the game and check the look of the helm I see some graphical errors on the helmet. In the Chin Strap location there is some kind of tearing or something like that as you can see in the image below. Any idea what causes this? Is there a blender or exporting error that I do (which Im think so but dont know where) or a simple graphical error of the game? This happens all the race and sex, and Vault Security Helmet does not has same error. Blender Looks; GECK Look: In Game Looks :
  12. I noticed last night that high level gunners NEVER wear ANY headgear. Low leveled gunners can wear Dirty Army Helmets, Military Caps and various sunglasses. I looked at their leveled lists in FO4MOD last night and it looks like at higher levels they're supposed to spawn with Combat Armor Helmets too, but they NEVER do. The loading screens talking about the Gunners always show them in full Combat Armor with helmet and sunglasses, but I don't think I've ever seen them like that. The Gunner's Bandanna is also an item in game that I don't think I've seen spawn on any Gunners. I've seen it spawn on Raider Dogs a couple of times. Is is just for dogs? Do the Gunners even use dogs? Some other humans occasionally spawn with bandannas so I figured they would too. I just barely kind of know how to use FO4MOD so maybe I'm looking at the wrong things. Would really like to hear some input from someone that knows more about this stuff.
  13. I'd really want to be able to equip some sort of tiara / crown. The reason is that I want something that I can wear on my head that doesn't hide my hair or face but still give me a reason to wear it in terms of stats. I find it disappointing that after spending time on choosing hair and molding the face you have to cover it all up of you don't want to run with an inferior armor setup.

Please, someone add a flashlight addition to it, like the mining helmet. I'd love a bright flashlight on it. I don't know how difficult it would be to add this kind of mod, it sounds simple in theory though. I'm willing to give the first successful person $10 too :D

  17. All my character wants is to feel like a king/queen while leading his/her chosen faction into battle! but the only Crown mods I can find are one based on Lorenzo's crown and one that has Solar panels and other stuff stuck all over it. I just want a basic gold and/or silver crown.

  19. I'm not very good at modding, in fact I really can't do it. However, I have a lot of ideas and designs I've been working on. I was wondering if someone out there could create a new headgear mod, an oni/demon mask or helmet. It would be done in a more post apocalyptic or steampunk theme. I imagine it being put together with junk and various scrap with coils and springs or multiple wires, and gears and goggles with rotating lenses to aid the player in his or her vision. You could use it to zoom in and out on targets similar to binoculars or a sniper's scope. Perhaps it could have the ability to turn on night vision or thermal views. Maybe it could also have horns for simply appearance or for some other function, like antenna. I also thought it would be handy if it was used in a different armor slot so you could wear other hats, helmets or hoods with the item, perhaps it would have it's own hood or other hear gear that could fit around any protrusions coming out of the mask or helmet. I have some images to share. One is of several pics I pulled off the internet, sort of like a mood board and the other is of sketches and designs I did to show what I envision. I will also message specific modders who I think could pull this off, but please feel free to use what I have shown here to try and tackle this if you're interested. Thank you so much and I have to say there are some amazing modders on here! I can't wait to see what else shows up this week!
  20. I love the options of crowns, masks, and various headgear for the ladies that The Amazing World of Bikini Armor and Bikini Ascend provide. Has anyone converted these to be equippable by males as well? I'm considering doing it myself, but I've never done an armor conversion before (just texture edits, and editing entries in .esp's with SSEEdit). What programs would be needed to edit the mesh onto a male head, and what tutorials would be helpful in working through this conversion? It feels like it should be pretty simple, but I've mostly learned how to mod by trial and error and most of the tutorials I've seen have been pretty dense. Once the mesh is edited, I already know how to edit an .esp to link the textures/meshes, though I guess learning how to create a fresh .esp wouldn't hurt either (I've done it before to convert mods from LE to SE, but it's been a few years). Yes, I already have Crown Helmets Redux and Improved Closedface Helmets and love them dearly, I'm specifically going for the headgear in these two bikini mods because I love how they look and hate when an armor mod covers only male or female characters, especially when it should easily work for both.

I'm currently having some problems where I'm trying to create a custom mask where the user also changes hair, I managed to make the head from the player go bald to fit the new hair but whatever I try the mask/head will not be in the right position (on his head) After countless of hours I'm now coming here in the hope to receive some help.   22. Usually I add waterbreathing enchantment on my Dwarven Helmet and pretend the whole set was like a diving suit or something. I think it'd be pretty cool to see a custom made model of a dwemer headgear with waterbreathing effect, I mean the dwemer civilization was pretty advanced, they probably invented something that can turn or filter air from water, right? I think it would give a much more immersive feel to wear one of those headgear instead of wearing a helmet when diving in Skyrim.
  23. Hello guys and gals, I tried to make a simple mod that adds some unique versions of some items. Everything works as planned except for the new biker goggles. I only changed the ID, name, durability and value of the original version, but as you can see in the picture there is a problem with wearing it. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?   25. The lack of true eyeholes in Nisha's mask and any of the Disciple's headgear bothers me, and to my astonishment there seemed to be no mod that solved this, even just to remove their headgear. It seems like it'd be a great improvement, especially with beautifying mods. Alas, it does not bother me enough to do anything about it myself yet. I can only hope some day a noble and talented soul will read this and agree with me. Thanks.
