  1. Ok, so i spent a while trying to find a solution to this problem, but it seems that although people are struggling with this, they do not have the exact same problem i am having What i think i should state as being important first. 1. Yes I have completed several citizen quests 2. Yes i have completed the quest line involving getting rid of the skooma dealers, including clearing out Cragslane Cave 3. I have been offered by the Jarl to become Thane of Riften 4. I have enough gold to buy the house 5. I have not done any of the Civil War quests Here's what's going on: The Jarl tells me that in order to become Thane I must have a permanent residence within the hold and that i can purchase a house from Anuriel I go to Anuriel Anuriel has the dialog option "I'd like to purchase a house in the city (8000 gold)" I select that option The only dialog option available is "On second thought, perhaps i'll wait a bit longer to decide" So even though i have the money, have been given permission to buy the house, and the first part of the dialog is there, i can not buy the house. I have played the game on the PS3 and had no trouble buying Honeyside, this is the first PC save where i have even attempted to purchase Honeyside Things i have tried so far: 1. Uninstalling all mods (excpet for ones that would cause me to lose a significant amount of stuff on the save) and trying to buy the house, it stays the same 2. Some console commands i found online 3. Leaving and re-entering the building Nothing i have tried has allowed me to purchase this house Please help, i got this amazing looking mod to expand Honeyside and i really want to try it out (yes it is one of the ones i uninstalled when trying to fix things)

  3. Could someone please remove the dragon head and horse head carvings from the buildings in whiterun? I have tried to do so in nifscope but they are almost always attatched to something else in the mesh. Also importing into 3ds max isnt working for me. I am working on an overhaul for skyrim to make it more authentic medeival era, much like skyrim medieval onlymore thorough and complete. These dragon carved buildings are a must go. They kill the vibe of whiterun even now that its completely retextured. Please help.
  4. It'd be great if we could get a mod that repairs the sanctuary houses (and roofs) so they aren't full of holes and have collision (rain doesn't fall through). Options for pre-war textures and post-war textures would also be nice. There is a mod that sort of does this, but it's very broken and the mod author seems to have abandoned it. Even if you get it to work, you can't place any furniture on the floor. Hopefully now that the creation kit is out, we can get a working/more flushed out mod that does this.

  6. so all of my houses in skyrim are jacked up. dont know why. i have been playing Legacy of the Dragonborn. and i recently installed Skymills and hearthfire extended. everything was fine until i installed these two. now hearthfire doesnt work the blueprint keeps making me rebuild the small house blueprint all the way up to the last thing i did to the house and the objects i build are taking forever to load?? and if u buy a house already available all the weapon racks are deactivated?? plz help i have 400 items collected thru the legacy quest and was hoping not to lose all of this
  7. I wish there was a mod to hire homeless people or so that the dragonborn could make houses for them. It makes me so sad to seem them on the streets begging for money. Can someone make that happen? I have no idea how to create mods at all!
  8. I want a mod that lets me have a house at Whiterun the way I want it. Hearthfire houses are great, but they are in the middle of nowhere. so basically to have craftables homes at the cities (at last the biggest ones) will be nice. Of course I'm no expecting a house has big as Hearthfire's ones in whiterun, because there isn't enough place in the city for that, but it could have a open basement and make it customisable, so I can choose what I prefer to have in it. I wrote Breezehome on the title because it's my favorite one, but actually all of them could be changed

I also have a mod that makes everything respawn after 72 hours (3 days) and was wondering if that affects the spawn rate also. So will the defalt items placed in the mod respawn if i take them?

Can someone make a mod that lets you live in the Blackwood Company Hall after you finish the Fighters Guild Questline? maybe you can purchase it (I think it should cost around 20,000) from the Count with a new topic like "I'd like to buy the Blackwood Company Hall" or you can get it for free as a reward, and the building should be renamed to Blackwood Manor (or something like that) just like "house for sale" get renamed to "My x house" after you purchase it from a count
  12. I've finally gotten the goal off my bucket list - I've "fixed" the Chorrol, Bruma, IC, and Leyawiin houses. I gave up on fixing the Bravil shack because it's hopeless, but I did make two alternative homes in that city. I didn't do any overhauls in Cheydinhal, Anvil or Skingrad because those houses are excellent as-is, and it would be difficult (not worth the time) to top them. Cheydinhal and Anvil have always been my two go-to houses in the unmodified game. Very pretty, well-priced, not too big, not too small, and a good storage situation. Skingrad's Rosethorn Hall always seemed like a bit of overkill - because why would I need all that space or storage? - but I understand it's good-looking and it fits many people's needs. Therefore, for now, I have no interest in changing those houses. I may get bored and decide otherwise at some point.
  13. Hello, I was wondering if nexus users could recommend me some different houses mod. I'd like them to be lore-friendly, and I'd also like if I have to actually do something in order to use and obtain the houses. I cannot stand mods that give you castles for literally no work. If they could be targeted towards a mage, warrior, hunter, or thief play style that'd be great. I'm working with vanilla houses right now, but I want something original but at the same time I don't want something totally over the top. List some friendly recommendations, and hell, maybe even other users who come across this thread might find what they themselves are looking for.   14. There should be a mod that adds totally unique inventory items to unique NPCs or creatures. These unique items could then be mounted to weapon displays. To take it a step further (I'm supposing the vanilla stage), NPCs could be programmed to engage in conversation or utter passing remarks about the trophy. The player could then tell the story of acquiring the treasure and boast about previous battles, and the NPCs could react to the conversation dynamically, based on the relationship and disposition to the player. This could combine really well with my other idea about hosting parties.
  15. Think about it. The option to either purchase Breezehome or to purchase land around the city to build a house! You could build a home overlooking the road from Solitude, a manor on the North Wall of Riften, or even a sprawling mountain dwelling outside Markarth! I dunno. It's just an idea.

So im looking for some opinion as far as a house in skyrim I have the Dev Avezra but of course i need a place on the ground I have The Hearthfire Fortified Heljarchen Hall mod but i dont know weather or not to get a custom home. the Hearthfire Fortified Heljarchen Hall mod greatly enhances the home my reasoning is there are already buildable homes that can be enhanced, so why get a mod home, most mod home to me dont feel like they dont belong in the landscape of skyrim I am very much impresed with mod homes which very much suit a the level of hero that skyrim has but im more of a humble hero, i dont really feel entitled to one, im fine with hearthfire so my question is what do you think? do like a big home whether it be castle, mansion, hidden realm, etc OR do you like a more smaller home, one that doesnt really say HEY LOOK AT ME IM A BIG HOUSE.   18. I'm creating some nice little houses for starting characters, and I'd like to put the key somewhere slightly challenging for the player to find it. Starting with a note on the door with a few hints, something to make it immersive to the game, rather than 'oh hey a random unlocked, furnished home with no owner gee whiz how lucky'. If anyone has suggestions for how and where to hide the key to make it interesting - but not infuriating - I'd appreciate that.

  20. Hi. I'm just going to ask this, and please don't flame me. I just don't enjoy spending time doing The SIMs-like / minecraft-like stuffs. I just, don't. What I wanted to ask, is that if there are already "pre-built houses with the necessities, lights, beds, bathrooms, kitchens, doors, toolboxes", for settlers, that can be just "summoned" (like you summon the walls, furnitures, etc in the fallout 4 build mode) I mean, I'm not good at it, and the impression I have after scouring the mods is that for a settlement to thrive (minus the defense, since defense you really need to build around it) a) houses b) workshops c) greenhouses if such mods with already the stuffs IN it already exist, please do kindly link me there (as i'm not aware that a fully furbished pre-built homes mod exists) Thanks.
  21. Hi, so I have an issue regarding invisible/disappearing houses in Skingrad (dunno about any other city, so far only happens in Skingrad). Three houses near the Chapel District have no meshes or anything and I can't use Refscope or FormID finder because it literally is no house, just a standing door with no building, and when activating the door everything works as usual, but no exterior meshes or anything. It doesn't happen in any other town or city for what I recall. I've used BOSS, and other tools, but to no avail. I dunno if these houses have to do with the Glarthir quest (been too long since I did that quest for the last time), but the houses's owners are Bernadette Peneles, Uuras the Shepherd, and Ambroise Canne. I've tried many things, but I really can't find a fix for this. Do not suggest to delete any mods, because I've been trying to play a stable/acceptable modded playthrough with FCOM Superpack and other stuff and I just want to know of any "safer" and easier alternative solution. This seems really odd. I've had other issues overall with this game and I have always browsed on Google for answers to see if other people experienced them, but Hell, either I simply can't easily find anything about it on the Internet, or I'm really the only one experiencing this. This game truly is the one which has given me headaches and frustration to fix stuff, lol. Been playing this game for many years, and after like 5 or 6, I decided to play again, and overall I somehow managed to more or less fix almost anything and this modded set is very playable (with some framerate drops from time to time), but this thing right now beats me. BTW, I'm playing on a gaming laptop (MSI) with Intel Core i7, a nVidia GTX 960M graphics card, 16 Gb RAM, and of course OS is Windows 10.
  22. hi so in the vanilla game you're allowed a limit of only 2 kids, which is dumb when each of the 6 vanilla houses can house 2 children, which means the cap should be twelve. and with Hearthfire each of the 3 properties can potentially house even more.. there's just so many empty beds, its sad. im aware of and have TMPhoenix's multiple adoptions mod, which increases the amount of adoptable kids to 6, but still all the kids are forced into the same household. if i tell one child that we're moving to riften, all the children move to riften. is there a way to make this not happen? to tell 1 kid to live in riften and 2 kids to live in solitude and 2 kids to live in whiterun, etc.? it makes sense since each house has a steward to look after them. it would just be like that simple dialogue "live in my house in x city", except it would only apply to that one child instead of ALL the children. i've looked all over for a mod that allows this, but none seems to exist :sad: is it just impossible with the game's engine? it seems so easy and doable. if anyone could tell me some pointers as to how to start making this mod (i have 0 experience), or if it's possible, or if you want to do it yourself, please respond! thanksssss
  23. I married Aela the Huntress and adopted two children and currently they're residing in the house in markarth. Recently I bought and upgraded the house in Windhelm and I told Aela to move to the new house. However, only she arrived in the new home but the two kids remained in the house in Markarth. There's no options for me to make my kids move and whenever I talk to them they still complain about Markarth being filled of rocks. The option for me to ask Aela about the kids is also missing. I tried asking Aela to go back to the old house and then move again, it's still the same. Tried it with a different house in Riften, kids still stay in Markarth. Is there a way to fix this? The two kids are mods though, one is a khajit boy and the other is an argonian boy.
  24. I was always a little disappointed about how simple the whole political system of Morrowind is, despite being rather a large selling point and still overall fun to play with. Especially the famous and supposedly heavy racism doesn't really show. So, I've come up with a number of ideas and suggestions for mods, or just to discuss about, all in the general theme of diplomacy and politics. I'm somewhat wondering about how difficult it'd be to mod these things in, but mostly I'd just be looking for some discussion. Try not to expect too much coherency: I'm mostly rambling. --- Firstly, to summarize like half of the entire issue for me, being a high-ranking faction member, or in charge of one - or even several - doesn't seem to have much impact at all in the game. No one outside the faction doesn't even notice, and within the faction it's summed up with a few kind words and a disposition increase. If I'm in charge of the Mages Guild, it'd be nice if the other factions and people noticed it too: said stuff about how it is an honor or welcoming me or whatever, slightly increased disposition and better prices - or, if I went and joined another guild at this point, advicing me to not expect any special treatment and that I'd have to start from the bottom like everyone else. Also, if I were a high-ranking Redoran retainer going to talk to some Hlaalu bunch, it actually doesn't make much sense for them to throw dirt at me, talk condescendedly, and refuse services - as much as you hate the other guy, that's just really poor diplomacy and can have heavy consequences. Rather, I'd imagine their disposition to be increased close to as much as my own faction's - but it'd be the grudging, reluctant, and highly sarcastic sort, with a lot more veiled insults and clever wordplay rather than a simple "Bugger off, Redoran". Besides being able to only join one house, some more restrictions on joining would be sensible as well: with such deep hatred going on, it would make extremely little sense for a character to be a member of - or in charge of! - both the Mages Guild and House Telvanni at the same time - and nearly as little sense for them to belong to the Tribunal Temple together with either Imperial Cult or the Mages Guild. Hell, the three houses don't hate each other as much as those guys do! Finally, assassinations: king Hlaalu Helseth wouldn't be the only one wanting you dead as your deeds and reputation grow. Once you're in charge of a faction, expect to start having to dodge knives every now and then, especially in the territory of factions that hate yours. The more factions you're in charge of or highly ranked in, the more there will be assassins - up until the point where you cross a certain line, like four or five factions, at which point they suddenly stop: you'll be considered to have gathered far too much power for yourself, and become too indispensable to the political field of Vvardenfell, to be simply removed from play without massive backlash and unintended political disaster. Vetinari Job Security, if you will. (And if you're also a part of Morag Tong, there could be a humorous scene where you're ordered to assassinate yourself. Or at least warned about an impending assassination, if you're of high enough rank.) --- Then there's the racism, as I already mentioned. You'd think it would be a pretty large part of the game, but it hardly shows up at all. At the very least, I'd expect a heavy disposition decrease if I happen to be of the wrong race, including racial slurs and other verbal dirt being thrown at me, and price increases or even outright refusal of services. Likewise, I find it a little funny that an orc or a khajiit or whatever can just go ahead and become the Telvanni Archmagister without anyone batting an eye: you'd think there would be at least some complications in the matter, having to raise the promoter's disposition really high, etc. The dunmer, this being their land, would likely be more or less neutral to their own kind, but feel prejudiced to some extent towards just about everyone else - argonians and khajiiti especially are going to have a hard time dealing with them. With the other races it'd be the opposite: they would not care about seeing another dark elf in their shop, but another member of their own race would, in this strange and foreign land, always receive a little disposition bonus. Then you'd add up some more specific guidelines - bretons and redguards don't really like each other much, just about everyone hates orcs, etc. - and you're starting to get a reasonably complicated racial system. Some people would have their own unique preferences - Crassius Curio, for instance, wouldn't mind at all what race you are, sweetie - and in some situations there'd be some more unique dialogue or situations depending on your race: for instance, why wouldn't absolutely anyone care if the Nerevarine is supposed to be a dirty thieving khaiit? You'd think a lot of people might oppose to that. Why don't the dunmer harassing Huleeya find anything strange about you being an argonian yourself, maybe start bullying you as well? (If it's a female argonian, at that, then I want to be able to answer positively to their question of wanting to kiss him.) And you'd think if you were playing an orc, then at least Caius Cosades would be decent enough to add a "No offense" when he's talking about Sharn gra-Muzgob and saying she's pretty smart for an orc. I could come up with dozens of this sort of things. --- I can play and love the game just fine even not considering any of this stuff, but it does sometimes rather bother me: for such a high-immersive, heavily-modded game as Morrowind, this sort of flaws become particularly glaring.
  25. Hmmm I have been excited about build smal hideouts on various places in NV. And now I finally have the tools/trade to do it. I just have one simple question. What or which files are i'm suppose to upload on Nexus? is it only the .Esp or is something more required?
