  1. so i have searched and searched, for something pre-made, or someone who has modified an INI file or is it built into current modding tools tweakdb and red script. so far i haven't figured it out. i want to drive with controller but otherwise use keyboard and mouse. of course this works fine, but i want the UI to reflect only keyboard and mouse Icons, or switch back and forth properly. i think it might have used to work on my original play through but that was a long time and a lot of patches ago now, so i could be misremembering. currently after 1.5+ patch when i turn on the controller, the icons change and then won't change back. i want to be able to lock it to KB+Mouse or have it change back and forth properly like other games. can anyone help?
  2. This is my second third attempt to post this bug report, as it refused to upload for no reason the first time. I am very frustrated that I have to retype everything, so please be patient if I sound upset. I've refreshed the main mods site several times, but it still does not reflect the change in my profile picture, even though the forums site does. The correct one looks like this: But my profile on the main mods site still looks like this: The steps I took to replace my profile picture are: Start from the home page. Click my profile icon in the top-right corner Click "Site Preferences" Click "Change Your Avatar" And I am taken to the forums page, which gives me the option to change my avatar. However, it already reflects the correct image in the forums page. (Crossing my fingers that the report actually posts this time. I've copied it just in case...)

  6. So, I appear to have a strange blimp icon next to the drive-in theater settlement on my world map. Any idea which MOD may be causing this, or what it means?

Two books added by the mod i'm working on get the note icon instead of book and i'm having a hard time figuring out why, basically between books and notes there's no differences other than the model being used (both use the VendorItemBook keyword. My books use [...]Journal02 and [...]MG03 models which are not really notes) and weight (both weight 1 just like vanilla books). Anyone know why is this happening, or how does SKUI knows what's a book and what's a note?
  8. the player icon is a ships steering wheel, the power armor icon is a tree, the custom map marker is a bench with a tram (plus i cant remove the map marker) and the quest marker is a mountain with a nuka cola bottle. im using patch 1.5.416.0.1.   10. I'm working on a mod to replace soul gems with something different. I know how to replace the model and texture, but I have no idea how to change the inventory icon to match the new model. (Well, maybe some idea, but not enough.) Most threads on this topic (changing map marker icon, changing map icons, changing crosshair) have gone unanswered. The ones that were answered tell me the GUI files are in SWF format and I have to use Fallout Mod Manager to extract the files from a .BSA. I'm real vague on this as the comments were vague. There don't seem to be any tutorials. My problem is very specific. I want to change the soul gem inventory icons. Make it simpler: the petty soul gem icon (from that I can figure out how to do the others). Anyone know how to do this, and willing to share?

Hey im working on my mod for fallout NV and i wanted to know how to make a custom pip-boy icon in gimp? i tried looking up google for tutorials but any tyturial link i did find was eather dead or 404 or forbiddon or moved. another thing is i wanted to do a simple edit to the armored vault 21 jumpsuit, but it appears BOTH vault21 armored jumpsuit and the vault 101 armored jumpsuit share the same .dds file, and when attempt to edit it unlike most files it just appears very light with a almost invisable ghostly blue, is it tre v101 jsuit and v21 jsuits (both armored) share the same .dds or something im doing wrong? if so how do i edit that? friken oops i speeled it "neex" instead of "need" and dont see a way to edit the title oh well whats doen is done

Hi Witchers and Witcherets, Noticed that after the HUGE 1.07 update the buff icons seem to be locked on large scale on the hud even when adjusting the scale inside the options from large to small they remain the same size and take up a large portion of the top of my screen. Was wondering if anyone with the know how of such things might be interested in making a mod that rescales them to a more appropriate size cause my knowledge of how to do such a thing is non exsistant and at the moment it can be quite distracting. And the slightest distraction as we know in death march can be a bad thing. Thank you and regards.
  14. I have made 2 new perks, but I am having trouble implementing the perk icons - Talon of Fear and Piercing Strike. I have a .png image for each perk, but cannot seem to convert either of these to a .dds texture without losing the background transparency. As such, the perk icons have a big black background which is very aesthetically displeasing. My method is: - Convert the perk_Action Boy.dds to a format that GIMP can open - Open Action Boy and desired perk icon with GIMP - Select Action Boy figure using Select By Color and delete - Select desired perk figure using same method and copy - Paste desired perk figure into Action Boy image I have tried this method with various different picture formats, including .bmp, .png and .tga. I have tested converting perk_Action Boy.dds to each format, doing nothing, saving under a different name, and then converting back again and it also loses its transparency, so it is likely to be an encoding problem. Can somebody explain how to successfully convert these images to .dds for Pip-Boy Perks? Specifically with reference to keeping the background transparency. ---EDIT--- Topic Closed, solved the problem by fiddling around with Alpha Channels

  16. Just downloaded Vexus. When I double click it, its icon pops up but nothing after that. I have tried pressing Alt+space and Alt+tab but no luck there. Not sure if I did that wrong or what. Plz hlp
  17. Hello, first time posting. I would like help in locating the texture files for the icons that appear in the game menu (Journal, Map, Inventory etc.). I've tried searching for them in the various texture.cache files but I was only able to find the background pictures. Have any of you located them previously? If so could you provide the location of the files? Thanks in advance for any help! I've been looking around and I haven't been able to find a mod for it, but is there anyway to make a mod where it adds a quest icon to items in your inventory? or maybe adds a new tab for your quest items? that way you can tell right away what items you need to keep on you and which items aren't needed, it's a really annoying struggle when you need 20 bear pelts for a quest and you turn 15 of them into leather simply because you forgot you were saving them up, or accidentally throwing away that death-bell into a potion instead of keeping it for the quest your on additionally just thought of this idea, might make another topic for it, would there be anyway to add unique icons or a unique tab for special items? like, the unique one of a kind items that most of the time you wanna save to put on that armor rack or something, I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally sold something like the Sanguine Rose staff simply because I forgot I was saving it to finish the armory

  21. Idea for immersion mod. (Maybe it exists, maybe it doesn`t, just an inspiration for modders.) Locations discovery and map markers How it works in vanilla : You have to stand on specific place (location marker) for your character to mark the name of location into your map. You will "catch" the name even if you, as a player didn`t notice anything, but you have passed through the location marker.How I propose it to work :Disable the automatic abilty of your character to mark the name and location of dungeon into his map.You should be able to manually mark anywhere on your map, anything, custom name it, or pick an predefined icon (caves, castles etc.). Even from afar, if you want, mark it on your map.OPTIONAL: For compensation, the true name and location of dung on map will appear after player enters dung and pulls his map out.OPTIONAL: To help player be aware that there is some location nearby, the UI should just inform that there is for example a stench(dead bodies and animal caves do smell), or sound of wind passing through narrow space, or underground noises. Maybe a popup message, or a UI icon showing a direction of noise/smell.This will of course apply just to random caves/castles/dungs player encounters. If an NPC points you to a known/quest dung on the map, then you should know this information from him/her.Result of this will be that player will use his map more often and will be more pulled into the environment.

  23. Hello, Good day all, I would like to know if anyone knows if is it possible to change te color of a class icon? I am playing Pillars of Eternity I with the Chanter and loving the class so far, but the yellow color used in the class icon and talent symbol for the class give me a bad headache because of a hereditary migraine, problems with the yellow and gold colors. So, i would like to change this color but don't know how to do it, it is possible? Thank you so much for the help.
  24. Hey ! I finished Cyberpunk a few weeks ago and i'm still thinking about some aspects of the game, as I have a really good idea for a mod. To be quick, i will first give my idea before explaining it: Make a map mod that hides all the undiscovered places/quest markers as well as the "blue" things (and maybe the deposit points). I think this game has two big flaws: the map is a big mass of icons and there are almost no rewards for exploring Night City. But, some time ago I launched the game again and walked around night city to make some screens. And while exploring, I came across a side job and a few "blue" points that I haven't done yet. And I found that to be very natural and satisfying. I didn't came here because the map say so, but only because i saw a dark alley that made me curious. This game has an open world so dense that you can't walk 5 minute without being called at least one time for a side job or see some robbers in a store. If all these things where hidden from the map (without any way to see them), not only it would make the map more readable, but it'll help having all the side-jobs and the blue event be a real part of the open world, giving a real meaning in exploring the city. Of course this can lead to difficulties for a 100% completion, but it's not a flaw for me because it can give more replay value to the game (you have more chance to have a side job you haven't already done in your other playthrough) I think a mod of this kind wouldn't be a huge deal to make. There already are filters option in the game's map and you can maybe also replace the icon texture with a blank image (I'm just a beginner in programming and don't have a lot of knowledge in modding).
  25. Hey all, Once in a while I get the message "This app can't run on your PC" while trying to run Vortex. The icon also becomes a blank default icon. Checking the forums, I see a few others who have had the same issue, but since it's not a one-time thing, I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone knows why this happens. The quick fix is to simply reinstall Vortex, but I'm hoping someone can help me find a permanent solution. I'm currently making a mod, which I'm guessing might have something to do with it? I just don't understand how. I've attached two images: one depicting the desktop area with the tools and software I use, and a second with the notification I see when trying to run Vortex. Any help appreciated :smile:
