I have my own idea ( the pistol shrimp ) . So Watched some tutorials , they don't work with a lesser spell combined with multiple spells. I edited the mod above with just one spell , different of his, and it works. But it don't want to "cast" ( it is a lesser ) just a vanilla spell. I wan't to create a plasma ball that would explode the target. this is that i tried to create with combined different spells from diverse schools and shouts. And my game crash. Do i have to edit a magic "form" first and then apply it to a spell ? Are the different schools of magic and shouts stackable? Second question, i have an idea of not rebuilding but fixing the bridge of winterhold... You gonna say pic your poison, there are so many mods about that. Point is that i have my own idea. I'd like to make ghost pillars and arch to sustain the bridge. And for the missing edges of the bridge too. How can i do that, can i export a whole scene in blender? Is there a way just to do it in CK with existing nif and changing there textures? Lots of question i know, but i'd be greatly happy to receive answers, even theoriticals. Thanks by advance ;)

​while playing the Far Harbor DLC i discoverd this old sailboats, and the first thing i thought was "would be great to live in one of these" but cause there is no sailboat player home i decide it is time to start moding i already have found some tutorials of the basics but there is a problem i can't find a solution for cause the game don't seem to have parts that would fit to a sailboat interior, i want to create some by myself i already have a lot of experience with blender the problem is that i want to export the sailboat model to blender so i can get the proportions right, but i can't find a way how to do this, i only found a tutorial for skyrim but it seems not to work for Fallout :sad: anyone know how to do this? and btw, a explanation how to import the new models then would be great, too :happy:

Hello :) I posted a while back about importing meshes from Blender, and thanks to you guys I was able to understand the process well enough to do it comfortably. Now I have a friend that's trying to do the same thing, only he's made his own Dogmeat mesh by exporting the raider dog to .obj and editing it in blender. It's worth noting real quick that he's already posted about this and gotten no replies, so I told him I would post here about it. Anyway, I showed him the process of pasting the trishape into the raider dog mesh and rerouting the info and all that, and the mesh successfully imported into the CK and appeared in game, with a couple of problems. Or probably one problem with two symptoms. The first is that the mesh does not reflect the scale/orientation changes made in Nifskope to match the original. The second is that only the eyes and head/body caps seem to be animating. I honestly have no idea what it takes to give a mesh bending joints and whatever else it needs for the game to properly animate it, but I guess I assumed the mesh would retain that info the same as it retained the uv mapping. So I guess I'm asking what this mesh needs in order to animate properly. I'll go ahead and attach it here so you guys can look and see if there are any obvious mistakes made when pasting the trishape into the raider dog mesh. Thanks a lot for your help :)

I am currently trying to import a custom MP40 model I made from scratch into fallout 4, but I am having difficultly with nifskope and the creation kit. I have a good knowledge on 3d modeling, and one of my friends are going to take care of the texturing, but this is my first time trying to import a custom mesh in fallout 4 and there aren't very many tutorials out their to help me properly implement my mesh into the game with custom attachments. I am currently at a lost on how I should import my model from nifskope and how to create the separate custom mods that go with it. The mods I have been planning on adding were upgrade-able receivers and magazines with the choice of a suppressor and an extended or collapsed stock. I know a fair bit about the creation kit to create the necessary components for the mods but I can't seem to get it to come together. Any help with implementing the custom weapon using nifskope would be appreciated because as of now it crashes the creation kit even after removing the textures from their slots. As the title states I'm trying to import my own attachments for a weapon mod I'm working, but I don't know how to reference them similar to that of the Conventional Assault Rifle. I've put the skeletal mesh and textures of the attachments inside the package, but that's about it. Hopefully someone here knows how to.

Ok guys, I need your help. I have both Blender and Nifskope and enough knowledge to be able to create my own models. If I were to do such a thing, how would I then get those models, with animations, into Skyrim? My internet isn't the greatest so I would prefer no youtube videos, though, if that would be the only way to get me the info I suppose I'll make do.

I heard I need to press z to export her face, but nothing happens when I do that. I've already tried resetting the shout key to default. Any help?

Hi!!! I'm trying to make a custom armor. I've the mesh done and when trying to import some original armor piece .nif file with skeleton for skinning, my 3ds max pops up a error window and close. See directory in the skeleton load part of the importing window is [HKLM\SOFTWARE\Bethesda Softworks\Skyrim]=@"Installed Path"Data\Meshes\actors\character\character assets\skeleton.nif, instead of something like E:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\Meshes\actors\draugr\character assets\Skeleton.nif for example. I think it's due to a missed skeleton armor filed, but really don't know because it's my first custom armor. Someone knows the problem, has the skeleton file or any help? Ive been working on mods for awhile but it seems when i edit a mesh in blender and then export it, it doesn't recognize it im assuming. I put it in the right folders and everything i have followed several videos and followed the exact instructions and i still am getting errors. I dont know what to do i severely need help and am completely at a loss! I followed this video specifically and it still isnt working. In the geck when i go to edit the static of the 9mm pistol (the gun i edited) a marker error pops up, as we all know it the infamous red exclamation point. I dont know what i am doing wrong and would really really appreciate it if someone could link me to a better tutorial or walk me through what they think the issue is. Again my pathways and file directories are correct, as i use the same ones for my other mods. I just dont understand why this isnt working. I have edited static before and had poor results as well. in previous attempts the geck wont even realize i have created a new weapon when i know exactly what i am doing and do it over and over.

Hello all I am new to Skyrim modding. I'm trying to create a few new custom textures for an original npc. I just finished the dds for the new face texture. Then I made it into a texture map in the object window. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to put this texture onto the npc, I'm looking around in the Actor window trying to find the spot I can plug it in. Thx for reading. ^^

Trying to recreate some of the meshes from morrowind to import into skhrim. Been running into a wall here trying to figure out what went wrong with my nif file. Everything loads up fine in nifskope, textures all work. But when trying to place it in the CS it just shows a red triangle, sometimes with an error message saying the mesh cannot be found, which makes no sense because I have the nif placed in the mesh folder. HELP!!! Okay iv been making mods for about 3 years now and have never had any problems with the geck or using gimp 2.0 before. But now i have just decided to start releasing my mods, they are simple re-texture mods on the vanilla weapons. But my problem is that i have the gimp 2.0 dds plug in to avoid having to go through the process of converting files from dds to jpeg and then back to dds. I have been working for 2 days on this re-texture and was excited to release it however the geck wont open the file. I have saved it in nifskope and placed the re-texture on the gun and it works just fine, in fact i have even saved the nif file and everything seemed fine. My problem is that now with the dds plug in for gimp im pretty sure all of my dds files are invalid directory. I made sure the mipmaps were selected off and re sized it and all that, like i said iv been doing this for three years. Iv managed to have other mods work perfectly fine using this same method before, except iv never really used the dds plug in for gimp (yes i saved it correctly). Iv saved the re-textures to my data folder several times and iv even tried formatting which programs open them so only the geck can and it still comes up with the error message invalid directory. I have never had this problem before when trying to add new textures iv even tried going all the way back and using the old dds converter to try and redo the process to see if it would work then, but it wont. Iv tried dragging it to my desktop and formatting the programs it opens with, the size, the mipmaps, and even converting it from dds to jpeg and back and then putting it back into my data folder. I am so stuck i have no idea whats going on i don't know how to fix my problem or if I am ever going to be able to make mods ever again. The geck will not even read all of the old texture files that i exported from FOMM. They all come up as gimp dds files now no matter where i place them or convert them... Please help me modding is what keeps me sane.

I can hear everything else but what I'm expecting to hear. I'm at a loss as this seems to be so simple for others to do yet it isn't working for me... I decided to import character from different game to Skyrim on my own and the model didn't appears sometimes the skin are missing. All I want to do is import some dragon models into the game / Creation Kit but the nif format seems didnt supported, Just wondering what most people's workflow is like for making models for skyrim. Been trying to get into making a simple .obj file appear in game. How do you go guys set up your workflow? Is there any way for me to proceed? until the last update or so I was able to use LOOT and vortex as separate applications to manage my plugins -- unneeded I know as Vortex has LOOT built in but the LOOT screen is easier for me too see -- at this point I've spent countless hours building my groups listings and sorting and organizing at this point and well; while it would be easier this time around as I know where everything needs to go I don't want to go through all that again. I've been poking around all day on vortex hoping to find a way to easily import my load order from LOOT directly and possibly the groups but can't find anything so I've come to ask for help on if there _is_ a way to import your groups and load order from LOOT as a separate program to Vortex? TL;DR: Can I Import already made LOOT group lists/load orders into Vortex? If so, how? I'm... pretty green on how to juggle the whole mess of it, mostly i just stumble along read questions and answers with a really confused expression.
