Trying to create my first mod and the start of my idea was to create a new trait perk that would apply the knockdown from "And Stay Back" to all firearms to make it feel like people react more naturally to being shot. I am trying to find the simplest and most elegant way to have this effect *both* human enemies and the player. I figured using the MisterSandmanFaction with the GetInFaction function was the most sensible (humans and non-feral ghouls) and, just to start testing, the WeaponListRangedALL with the IsInList function so that only ranged weapons get the effect. Is it possible to apply the knockdown effect to the Perk Owner as well as the target on the condition that they are shot? While I've gotten fairly good at creating my own stable load orders and fixing conflicts in FNVEdit, I've never actually made my own mod before since this is the first time I've never found what I was looking for already made by someone else. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  2. So I'm sure that others have noticed the animations that play sometimes when npcs get into a close quarters scuffle. Fire fight starts, we're shooting, they're shooting, then one of the raiders gets too close and... Piper sweeps the guys leg like the bad guy from karate kid and shoots him in the face. "Holy crap! she really knows how to handle herself!" is what I'm thinking. Well I've discovered that the player can also do these animations. Just get really close and spam whatever key you use for the power attack (don't spam too hard or you'll throw a grenade). Now the problem is that these animations only seem to work in 3rd person. I typically only play in 1st person so I feel like I'm missing out. I want to know if there is a way to play this animation while in 1st person. Even if I was forced out of 1st person and into 3rd for the duration of the animation I would still consider this an improvement (as long as I'm returned to 1st person afterwords). You can already kind of see this in V.A.T.S when you use a melee weapon. you are forced out of 1st person to watch your character "chop! chop! chop!" and then your back in 1st person. What kind of skills would a person need to make a mod like this?

My apology in advance : I apologize if I come off as pissed the motherf****** hell off , but after the numerous timesthis happened , even with my enormous and plentiful amount of patience , I'm sure anyone would be at this point . Okay , after searching Nexus and Google .... Nothing . Only thing that seems to work for peopl is transforming into a Werewolf and then back . But I am not a werewolf nor do I wish to be one . The issue : after being knocked down , or thrown , or anything that renders my character immobile for a few seconds or more will 50% chance have the camera stuck looking at some random bullsh*t forever unless I reload save , only to have it happen again .. and again .. What I ask : do not post anything irrelevant , do not post anything other than a solution (unless you would like to state you also have this problem) , do not post non sense and useless/ignorant information . I ask this because everything I read (almost) seems to be flooded with comments that have no worth to my own or anyone elses time . Now that that's that , here's what I've tried , which obviously has not worked : Using these console commands -> EPC , tcl , S1st , S1st again , and FOV , and TGM Reloading a save , yes it works , but why would anyone want to do the massive amount of work over again , even in some situations where making a save right before the combat (if the combat is astronomically lengthy) Making a save during the bug/glitch , and reloading does NOT work My system are damn well near enough to not cause this , and I am intelligent enough to know that .   5. This started happening to my character recently, I can't remember any changes that i made to my mods that would have made this happen... Basically when i get hit i sometimes fly through the air and then have to get back up (like when your hit by a powerful enemy) but it's happening with everything) Here's a video of it happening to me to show what i mean Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about fixing this?   8. Hi everyone, I've been working on a mod, that makes player essential and everything works perfectly fine until player dies when being knocked down. Normally, when player enters bleedout mode, he would bleed out for a few seconds and the would be teleported to a different location. But when he dies from i.e. unrelenting force or other attack which cause a player to be knocked down, he would stuck in some strange loop, being teleported to the same spot over and over(still lying on the floor unconscious), until finally would be transferred to correct location.   9. EDIT: After watching 20 minutes of youtube videos, research and reverse engineering some mods to better understand TES5Edit, I HAVE DONE IT!!! I have created my first mod! The Werewolf Knockdown Power Mod, it will add ragdoll effects to all werewolf attacks and I will also release a version that has less ragdoll so it is not too overpowered. I have not released it yet, I am still tweaking it, but everything works as i intended so look for it soon on the Nexus. I have also made a second mod that I will be releasing soon as well, it is not as polished as my first mod yet but it adds more werewolf shouts to the game. So far I have Unrelenting Force and Dragonrend working while in Beast form. Howdy everyone! I was hoping someone could help by making a mod that increase the chances of the knockdown rag doll effect when delivering a Werewolf Power Swing to an NPC. Much like the Realistic Impacts.esp mod for dragons but toned down to match the strength of the werewolves, after all these are suppose to be beast larger and stronger than the normal man, so why cant I flail my werewolf arms and send multiple whiterun guards flying backwards? i love playing as a werewolf character and having a bunch of werewolf followers travelling as a pack so it would be great if this applied to all werewolves in general.

First time posting on the forum, so go easy on any mistakes I make, not the least of which is the potential that this mod already exists, even though I've searched fairly extensively for the past day to no reward. My idea for a mod is a simple one really. I've been using the Bigger, Badder Lich King Armor by LuciferX10 on my character lately and I find it highly ridiculous that I can be easily chain-shouted into submission by Draugr. Is there any way that an item could be added that would make the Player immune to the magic effect which sends you into the flying rag doll state that the Unrelenting Force causes? Preferably by parring it down to a stagger, like when just the first word is used? I think it would be best if the item/effect were disenchant-able so anyone could put it on any item they desire, or even combine it with another if they have 100 enchanting. If anyone has any help for my search for Knockdown Immunity, I'd be very grateful. -Alakazam827
  11. Shield charge is rather overpowered in the base game, it must be said. If some clever soul were to work out a way to stagger enemies when shield charging, instead of knocking them immediately to their asses, I'd be eternally grateful. I had a quick look through the spell effects in the CK, but I'm in over my head with that sort of stuff, and the thought of learning Papyrus keeps me awake at night :/ Note: I had a few quick searches through the forums in case a mod already exists, but I couldn't find anything. I tried searching various combinations of "shield", "charge", "stun" and various others, but to no avail. EDIT: I'd prefer the stagger effect to be able to affect enemies, even if they're blocking.

Hi, I have a strange request: I want to know if there is a way to force a knockdown on the player character (me) when playing Skyrim so my character trips/falls over with the console or some other method. I want to know how to do this as a role playing tool/option, essentially. I know somebody is bound to ask why on Earth I would want to do this so I will explain. I am a seriously role player when it comes to this game and I am role playing a character that has limited experience in the wilds and traveling the country-side at the start of the game. So my character is naturally going to be very cautious, tense, and not very adept at navigating the wilds towards the beginning of is journey. He is going to have to rise to the occassion of filling the shoes of the Dragonborn (which will take awhile because I am putting the mainquest on hold for awhile for this character). I also have mods that make traveling the wilds significantly more dangerous: much harder combat, increased spawns, immediate and very, very deadly dragons, and so on. So what am I getting at... well, if my character encounters a dragon at earlyish levels he will not have even a chance of winning that fight, nor would he have the desire to try. Fleeing would be the ONLY option. I think my character would be absolutely petrified and, being very inexperienced in the wilds, and possibly a bit clumbsy, may trip and fall depending on the terrain while trying to run away from such a terrifying foe. Anybody know how I can do this? My sincere thanks in advance to whoever helps me!

  14. Hi! I'd love a mod that makes it so when you hit an enemy it is staggered and possibly knocked down. The logic behind would be that being shot hurts and can cause shock etc. In it's simplest form it would just add stagger to all hits. I'd be happy with that. However, If someone is willing to make a more complex, semi-realistic version I'd really love the following features. o Stagger or knockdown for both player and npcs. o Small chance of not being staggered or knocked down at all. o Larger caliber (or higher damage, or range) equals higher chance to stagger or knockdown. o Hit location - Hits to the head or legs would be more likely to knockdown instead of only staggering the target. o Target type and size - Humans would stagger or fall down more easily than larger creatures and really large creatures and robots would probably be immune or nearly immune. o High armor rating should lessen the risk of stagger or knockdown, power armor should make you immune. o Different length stagger depending on caliber, damage or range. Ideally the mod would be modular or come with an configurable mod configuration menu so that people can pick and choose the features they like. I'm not a modder (or I'd try something like this myself) but I realize some of this might be hard or too complicated, even impossible to make but if a few of the features could be done I think it'd make for a nice mod. A more creative name would be nice too. Anyone up for the challenge? :wink:

  16. Hey Guys, I'm just wondering if any of you know how to code/mod the game so dragons ragdoll actors around them when they land/takeoff? I only have vanilla Skyrim so Dragon Combat Overhaul or any other mods requiring the DLCs are not an option. Any tips would be much appreciated.
