  1. So I love "Lakeview Manor- as it should be" but the author has locked all comments and bug reports. I want to start this thread here to maybe help some people and get some help if I can! I have had bugs so far and I just found a fix for one of them. I haven't done any testing to see if it would work for different cases but maybe it will work for you. The bugs/glitches I've found: 1: Dropping mod added armor or weapons in the cellar then picking them up. After saving/loading OR traveling to a different cell and back, a copy of the equipment will be respawned in the position you originally placed it while the original will be in your inventory or a container that you moved it to. (also happened when a mod added weapon was placed on a weapon plaque and removed, upon reloading the cellar a copy of the weapon was sitting on the display case under the plaque.) FIXED: upon reloading the cell and seeing a copy of any item that you have previously dropped/picked up OR mounted/unmounted. follow these steps: 1: place the item in your crosshair so you can see the pick up prompt (do not interact with it as its current state is the "spawn state" and that's what we need to fix) 2: press "~" to enter the console 3: click on the duplicated item (the item reference code will now be displayed in the center of you screen and all commands will apply to that item code) 4: type "disable" and press enter (the item should disappear from your display, the reference code may not) 5: Press "~" again to exit the command console 6: save and reload. 2: In the library there is a staff on the left side of the staff enchanter table. it would appear that it is not in the way of the character passing between the main desk and the enchanting table BUT the staffs hitbox is extended way out down the length of it and is reaching to the chair positioned in front of the desk. to get to the staff enchanter I have to go around the right side of the desk. NO FIX YET: attempted to use the mod "placeable statics" to move the staff somewhere it wont be a problem but PS didn't recognize it as an editable mesh. !!!!IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER GLITCHES/BUGS OR FIXES PLEASE REPLY TO THIS THREAD!!!!
  2. Lakeview Freehold - Tundra Defense and Pocket empire builder compatible beta by Breandan The walls and the guard's bodies are invisble. How do I fix this :( I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it over and over again through the manual method since I can't download it through the Nexus Mod Manager for some reason. It always says "Can't be added" or something like that :/ Please help
  3. So last night I had zero problems everything was running fine. Updated a few mods to the latest release called it a night. Today I can enter other hearthfire homes but when I try to enter Heljarchen or Lakeview I get an almost instant CTD. I can hear the beginnings of a sentenced from my Housecarl before the CTD happens. In the Load list there is a screenshot of the interior of Heljarchen for that save. I tried both mass and individual deactivations of every mod I either added or updated. I'm running the same version of Loot I was running yesterday with the same masterlist id (f4702d incase anyone is curious). To further complicate things, I have no trouble at all entering Windstad (Which is where my spouse is). Moving the spouse to Heljarchen let me get about 10 steps in the door before the CTD and attempting to load that autosave results in a CTD as well. If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate the help.   5. Hello there, I am completely new to the forum, so if this topic or (gods behold) mod should exist already, it would be terrific if you could lead me there. Thank you. So, I've sort of just discovered the Nexus (I've lived with the mods available on steam so far) and I love it. The vanilla Hearthfire houses never really were my taste, something always bummed me out about every single room. I'm on a good way to make the homes actually nice with your help, dearest modders, and I hope that you could help me with my request. I absolutely hate the way the enchanting and alchemy tables look in the main hall. I understand that I could get the nicer ones in their respective wings, but I've already built the bedrooms and I don't really need an entire wing just to make some potions. So, would it be possible for someone to replace these poorly made tables in the main hall with some nicer ones? Don't neccessarily need to be the actual ones that are in the wings, just a little less ugly? Or would there be a way a noob like me could do it by myself? Also, another thing that I hate is the awful amount of clutter and unneccessary stuff that a lot of the additions (especially in the main hall, again) bring into my house. I can live without seventeenhundred barrels and sacks, thank you very much. I've tried to delete certain objects via console, but 'disable' doesn't seem to work with some of them. Although not particularly intended as a hideout for bandits, the Underhall addon for Lakeview Manor serves as a very well hidden standalone base/lair for assassins, thieves and bandits...at least so far. There are only(iIrc)six beds for all...including my character, however, the space is quite large so navigation is excellent and there's plenty of room for bedroll drops if you've got the Havoc mod installed. No bathing facilities though so if you've got the bath time mod installed you'll need to make trips to the lake. That's a potential problem as well if you've got the frostfall mod installed and have let yourself become really dirty as the lake water is icy and you may succumb to hypothermia.
  7. Just as the title says, I run a stable game with very few mods but when I try to open my strongbox in lakeview manor I immediately CTD. I have some awesome armor in there from a while back that I want to get back. Has anyone else had this problem? This save was transfered from the console version.
  8. hi everyone. i have a little problem about my child. i have 2 children, samuel and sissel. we're living in lakeview manor. samuel sleeping in his own bed (at children room bed) but sissel always sleeping in my bed. of course i can sleep with her too but also my spouse sleeping in my bed and there is no room to me for sleep :tongue: how can i set sissel's bed in chilren room bed? (i don't know is this raise this problem but i want to say this too. sissel has a snow fox pet but samuel not. also lakeview is not our first home, sissel adopt that pet at another home. anyways now we're living there but she's not sleeping in her bed)
  9. I have a mod that I made for Lakeview Manor, but I'd like to share the changes with the other two Hearthfire homes, without having to repeat my efforts. So, is there anyway for me to duplicate the Lakeview changes for Windstad Manor and Heljarchen Hall? Even if I have to relink the pertinent objects and activators, I can deal with it. I'd just rather not have to duplicate all of my efforts for two other interiors that are duplicates, themselves.
  10. I've been using the TKAA child rework since the beginning of my recent play through and everything was working great until I started to get CTDs when leaving lakeview manor. I went into a panic and started disabling my mods one by one, including TKAA even though the problem ended up being climates of tamriel; So I reinstalled all of my mods. Everything was alright and I didn't get any CTD but the custom child I had adopted from silent moon camp wasn't at my house anymore, only Lucia. So I looked around to see if I could find her but couldn't, and my next move was to fast travel back to the camp I found her at and sure enough she was there. I killed all of the bandits at the camp, but I still can't adopt her again. She says "You're the best, can you be my mother?" but never brings up the dialogue for adoption. Also, when I return to lakeview Lucia will run up to me and say "Do you want to play with us?" like my other daughter is still there. I've been digging through forum posts trying to find console commands to get the adoption dialogue to come back up or to reset my adoptions somehow but nothing has worked. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a noob with Creation Kit and I'm working on the famous Lakeview Manor since a couple of weeks but I bust my head trying to understand activators and markers.I just wanna be able to sit on the floor or a rug and make npc and child do the same like in the "Lakeview Manor as it should be MOD".   13. I am trying to make a mod for additions to Lakview Manor, like adding guards. I just wanted to make it so the player could ask their steward about getting guards, I just don't know how to do that. Please help.
  14. Building my home in SE at Lakeview. I put the Alchemy Tower at the Lake Ilinalta end only to find when complete the ladder and hatch to the top deck are missing. Not invisible: actually not present. I've never come across this glitch before! :sad: And I've built this house 4-5 times in various games. I tried going back and rebuilding the thing, no luck. No ladder or hatch appears, nor is it there if I use TCL to go to the tower top. I discovered the REF and Base IDs of the items in the Hearthfire ESM, yet there is no sign of them overwritten in SSEEdit. I ran a validation on the game files - all OK. I've gone back with a clean save and tried and tried again. Has anyone any ideas how I can overcome this bug? Thanks!
  15. Hello there! I have a huge problem with my lakeview manor, since the floor and walls of the entrance hall is missing. I can't go walk past the carpet at the door, because I'll fall through. I have tried the "verify integrity of game cache" And it says that there is a file missing, and that it will be added. but nothing happens after that. I have attached a Picture so you can see how it looks.
  16. Hi guys, Long story short, I’m attempting to modify the Build your Own Homes in Hearthfire. For example, changing the clutter in say the Armoury or Bedrooms into something else entirely. However when I load up the interior texture BYOHFalkreath the textures are obviously jumbled altogether with the Greenhouses, Libraries, Armouries etc, all merged into one another. My question is, “Is there an easy way to segregate these sections to make changes much easier without annihilating the game?” So if I wanted to change the features of an Armoury I’m not getting the Kitchen items in the way or deleting them altogether? Etc, etc. I know this might be a little confusing, but if anyone with experience in modding the Hearthfire homes could pitch in some feedback, all help would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.
  17. Hello, I am looking for a mod that changes the appearance of the outside of the Lakeview property. Currently certain rooms have certain exterior structures, I would like a mod that doesn't necessarily replace but adds addition construction options to the property. For example the west wing bedrooms and the north storage room could be produced with the peak roof rather than the balcony, therefore in these cases there would be 2 bedroom and 2 storage room choices in the drafting menu. Apparently I have heard that Hearthfire can be a painful/messy thing to mod; therefore to assist and to avoid conflicts with other mods, the upstairs doors which would normally lead out onto the balcony would not necessarily have to be removed from the interior. For example they could be linked to added doors somewhere on the exterior of the building or if the creator is adventurous then to new dusty, triangular loft cells. Summary: - Mod for purposes of aesthetics not immersion or expansion, - Only needs to effect the exterior of the property, - Shouldn't replace any existing construction options, - Should provide at minimum peaked roofs (similar to the kitchen, greenhouse etc) to the three balconied extensions, - Creators choice on tweaks (e.g. extra doors, small gabled balcony for upstairs door exit) and extension beyond remit to include tower extensions, - Minimal changes to the interior cell. I hope someone is interested in this and can produce it. Thank you

  19. Exactly what the title says. IDEA: This idea would free up 1 to 2 wings by combining the function of the enchanting & alchemy towers, (and possibly, library, more on that below). The alchemy tower already has two floors: 1. Storage that I never touch, never look at, and never use. 2. The alchemy room which is nicely decorated and highly functional. CONCEPT TEST: I removed the furniture from the first floor room, and plunked down an enchanting table and a storage crate using Pocket Empire Builder. The result is functional, but not nice looking. I also explored the upper area (the open space above the second floor), and it's high enough for a 3rd floor. I used tundra defense or empire builder to put a floor in with some bookcases (which arent scripted, so dont store books), but the point is that it fits! :smile: REQUEST: Basic: Remove the clutter in 1st Floor of the Alchemy Tower, and make it into an enchanting room. Mebbe a cut & paste of the 2nd Floor of the Enchanting tower into the 1st Floor Alchemy Lab? This would be for the Lakeview location, any other locations that get upgraded would be icing on the cake. :smile: This does NOT need to be tied to the workbench, I'm so over that aspect, and if it just appears when the tower is built, that's fine by me. Ideal: The above, plus add a 3rd floor, accessible by the already existing ladder (or mebbe a trap door in the ceiling etc.) as a small library or, space permitting maybe single chair reading room/library. This floor should not interfere with access to the tower roof (or should assist in access). A possibility might be to cut and paste either the 1st or 2nd floor of the Library tower into this position, and add a hatch up to the roof of the alchemy tower? Again, Lakeview location, anything else is awesome. And there ya go, two free wings, one highly functional tower. Is anyone interested/able to make this happen? :smile:

Hi, this is my first post on the Nexus Forums, just so you know So anyways I recently got Hearthfire for Skyrim and was disappointed when I discovered that the added houses had fixed Bards, Since I like female bards more then male bards. And Lake-view Manor had a male bard A mod that changed Lleweleyn the Nightingale (I have no idea how to spell that) into a female bard, preferably human, similar to Lisette in appearance and everything. I would really appreciate anyone who'd be willing to create this mod for me. However, if I'm asking for too much, then please let my know, And Thanks in advance :smile:
  21. I'm having a LOT of trouble exiting Lakeview Manor and, now, the tavern at DovKroniid Hold. Anyone got a clue as to what's causing this? Comp is locking up all too often when I try to exit.
  22. The lakeview manor plot is under the ground textures it seems to me like it was from a grass mod so i deleted all of the grass mods i had but its still missing. When i turned collisions off to see what was going on i discovered that the carpenter's table and all of the other tools and tables were still there but they were just underground. Please help!!!

  24. Hello modding community. Last night I downloaded three mods that expand the hearthfire player homes of Lakeview, Heljarchen and Winstad into towns/forts. Each mod brings guards to the local area, but they don't feel like the SKyrim Guards we all know and love. Could anyone take the Whiterun Armour (it specifically because it is plated, not padded), and change the colouring of it's garb from Yellow to Black, and a guard shield that is black with a dragon stencil on it, however not the Imperial Dragon because some users may side with the Stormcloaks and this would break the immersion a bit. Thank you to anyone who would do this.
  25. I endeavor to overhaul the armory of the Lakeview Manor in Hearthfire. The problem is, in the editor, other rooms occupy the same space, making it rather difficult to make any major changes. Is there some way to temporarily disable the items associated with the rooms occupying the same space as the armory, or would I be better off just deleting them in the esp?
