So I noticed some people are changing the appearance of armors, Im assuming this is moving around assests in the game files. For example I downloaded one that changed that buffoon looking Mantis armor into the bounty hunter armor. I am curious if anyone could perhaps make a short how to video and put it up on youtube? I would try myself but just don't have the time, thanks!

So im fairly new to coding in general, basically just dabbled in it if i needed something done via googling, but not really profficient in any sense like i understand some terms and lines depending on the program, just not how to put them together to make anything useful atm xD So i have a couple of questions, 1.Where would i look if i was after guides on how to specifically make scripthooks for games? becuase googling basically just comes up with GTA stuff and "guide"just sends me to installing a script hook someone else made :/ and coding is a vast plethora of languages and i am one confused cookie. 2. for anyone whos made one, if im fresh to coding would it even be feasable or likley that ide be able to make or even update an existing script hook? without learning a ton of extra things about coding (like i just want to specialise in this one thing atm for what i want to get done) Any help would be super appreciated! :D

Hi guys, I'm a C# programmer and I've had one or two ideas that I've seen that nobody had... So, since I couldn't find those mods I decided to do my own mod, but the problems is I don't know even how to start, so if you guys can help figure out how to start, or how to avoid common mistaskes, or... whatever, I really appreciate Anything, really... Thanks in advance

So I've had this problem for...well, I guess since the beginning of the game's launch now that I think about it. But it's become Alot more prevalent now that I'm modding the game so much. Simply put, there are too many Enchants to learn. No, I'm not saying there are too many enchants and I want to get rid of some. I'm saying there are so many enchants, that Finding the specific enchant I want on each playthrough is complete pot luck. At this point there are so many enchants added I don't even know what adds them anymore. And while I appreciate the Variety, I can't use them until I Get them. So if I start a new playthrough with the hopes of making a specific set up, I just need to Hope I find the enchant I want. So yeah, it would be really nice if there was a mod that added the ability to learn or find specific enchants that you don't already know. I'm sure there are console commands that do that, but that's just cheating. I'm looking for something that's immersive without being too game breaking. Here are some examples: 1. An enchanting station specifically for learning enchants that require an ingredient to learn an enchant you don't already know. Like Enchanting dust that you can get by breaking down enchanted items that have enchants you already know. It could randomly give you 1 knew unknown enchant for every X amount you spend. (increasing in cost the more enchants you learn) 2. A quest giver that gives you radiant quest's to find enchanted items you don't already know. EX: You don't know Resist Frost. So you talk too X person, and they'll give you a quest to go to a radiant location. There, your guaranteed to find an item with that enchantment on it. Both of these ideas keep the randomness in check, but also provide you the opportunity to actively search for enchanted items without having to just pray to RNGesus that you get what you want.

Hello Nexus Forums :) I am here to request a mod... if what i'm asking for is possible ( I can see it being possible). For a long time now, I have been wanting to learn Japanese. However, I am struggling learning Japanese on my own, using various method's that either I can't comprehend or get bored of. So, I was wondering... if it was possible if someone could create a companion or follower that could teach me Japanese? I think this would help me stay focused on learning Japanese because I love Skyrim... I can be on Skyrim just wandering around and be satisfied... I could easily stay focused on learning Japanese if possible. So I'll wrap this up with a question... Would this be possible? If so, could request a mod like this?

Hello! As a way to supplement my language learning, I’ve been playing Skyrim solely in Spanish. However, this presents a couple problems: since my knowledge of the language is still a beginner, I sometimes get confused about dialogue or quest objectives. When I don’t know a word, I look it up using a dictionary or Google translate – having to pause the game or open a new window. This slows down the process immensely. My thought is to allow two subtitle lines in two languages to be displayed simultaneously. In this way a player can read the line in the language they are trying to learn, and if it is not completely understood they can glance at the equivalent in their native tongue. Or, the other option would be to create a hotkey or menu item that would allow the player to switch languages in-game if they get hung up on a particularly hard dialogue or a word they have never encountered before. I’ve messed around with moving the Spanish and English audio/dialogue files before. For example, I’ve played with English subtitles and Spanish audio, so I know this kind of manipulation can be done. I would like to take it to the next level having both Spanish and English displayed (or any combination of languages that Skyrim offers!) Most people give up learning a language because it gets to boring or tedious. Well, what better way to combat boredom than play Skyrim! If this mod were to be implemented successfully, I think this could help many language learners immensely. I’d love to hear what the community thinks! Any ideas? Can this be done?

With only 24 hous in a day minus an 8 hour work shift, a 2 hour commute, sleep time and meal time, there just is not enough time to go through all the availible mods in search of the ultamate mod (for me). Soooo, I was wondering where I could find resources to learn how too develop mods of my own falvor? Or is the modding comunity mutually exclusive?

Hello Everyone! So I was playing NMS and found a tech that was worth quite a bit. Then it hit me, I wanted the game to allow me to deconstruct/ destroy the tech/ item and by doing so learning the recipe for it. Is there any mod out there like it or does anyone have the knowledge to make a mod like this? :)

I think Fallout 4 deserves a larger amount of customization when it comes to item and settlement creation. I know there are great mods that add items to these lists such as the ability to craft more items in settlements as well as the ability to create armor/weapons/aids instead of just modifying, but that's only half of my idea. I'd like to know where my character learned how to cook these foods, how to craft those walls, etc. So without further adue, here's my idea/request: A mod that makes it so Fallout 4 players must learn how to craft items in the game before having access to them. This would take a little more work for settlements, but the concept is still there. There's now a mod out on the Nexus that allows players to craft combat armor. I like the idea of breaking down combat armor and learning a bit about how to make it, possibly the amount learned could be increased by levels of Intelligence and maybe a Perk. This would be more realistic and engaging than just automatically being able to create items right from the start. I also like the idea of being able to take or possibly 'study' items in the wasteland to learn how to create them in the settlement, for example posters. Things more difficult like cars or electronics would require more objects to be 'studied'.
