  1. What the hell is it THIS time!?!? Just earlier today, the game was working fine, the very last technical change I've done to it most recently was updating the Script Extender to 6.11 a few weeks ago, I'm doing Far Harbor, and all of a sudden THIS bulls*** happens!!! The game suddenly just crashes the minute I click the in the main menu. It always starts with cutscenes like always, I skip those, the main menu says "press any keye", I press it, and PUM!! Back to desktop. It doesn't even say "Sorry it stopped working", it just straight up all disappears. what the f*** is the f***ing problem THIS time!?!?!? EDIT: Okay, just on a hunch, I disconnected my computer from the wi-fi, and suddenly everything is back to normal. With that in mind, I'm guessing the crashing was caused by Creation Club? Before, it always did used to connect to it in some way, EVEN THOUGH I ABSOLUTELY NEVER USED IT!!! Seriously, I never used Creation Club, I never even aknowledged it. What's happening, is that thing going through some kind of update? Is there a way to shut it down for good? I'm not sure I'm okay playing the game and regularly disconnect my computer from wi-fi to do so.

Hi, i was wondering if someone could make a "simple" i guess mod that makes it so you can spin the dragon logo on the main menu. not like the loading screens mind, like preferably, like for more entertainment value .... <_<... you click and hold near the logo and give it a good spin and it will spin and spin and slow down and eventually stop. I know, completely useless mod right? >_< i was just thinking it would be cool. :/ you know give it a couple a good spins before you click play. you know whatever. :smile:
  3. Relatively new to modding, the "Run For Your Lives" mod for Skyrim causes my game to crash before the main menu, wat do? Thanks for your time
  4. I'm sure this is a noobish problem I'm having, but I googled around for it and none of the solutions I've tried so far have worked for me. I'm new to modding and had to reinstall everything a few times. I was about to mod and get Fallout 4 to work, but no such luck with FNV yet. This time I think I'm pretty close, I can even get into the game, but the main menu won't show. There will be the FNV picture in the back where the menu should be but no text. I was fine earlier on in the modding, I was able to run and start a new game after all the core and UI mods were installed, but somewhere along the line of adding the last half of gameplay/overhaul mods it doesn't want to work anymore. I use NMM, NVSE, the 4GB patch thing, FNVedit, and LOOT. A solution I tried (didn't work) was to relocate the "start_menu.xml" file and put it in FalloutNewVegas/Data/menus/ . I haven't applied any cleaning filters in FNVedit though. Here's my mod list and load order. I checked it with LOOT and FNVedit numerous times and get no errors. I had errors before with compatibility patches mostly but fixed those. I'm guessing there is still some kind of compatibility patch I'm missing or some file which LOOT isn't picking up on. Or it's very possible I installed something in the wrong order. Maybe even something with my GameMode? So yesterday i started installing almost every mod from Sinitar gaming's ultimate modding guide, and today i finished it and decided to finally try it, so when i launched skse_loader it told me that if i had ExpandSystemMemoryX64 on, the game would crash more than usual, so i clicked on accept but the game launched anyways, but i was stuck at the main menu, there were no options to start a game or load a save file so i couldn't do anything, then i switched ExpandSystemMemoryX64 from true to false as skse told me, launched skse_loader and this time there was no error but i was still stuck at the main menu. I couldn't think of any other way of fixing this issue so i came here.   6. I was starting up my game with 4gb patch, then I alt-tabbed, when I went back to FNV the startup loading menu froze. I then force quit the game and when I started it back up, the main menu looked like this: [Here] I could still select and press everything. So I went and loaded the game as usual, then I was confronted by 3 errors in this order: JIP SF PN JIP CCC I have no clue how to fix this issue, I have already reinstalled PN, my UI Mods and I have also reainstalled the JIP NVSE Plugin, JIP SF and JIP CCC. If anyone knows how to fix this, please help. Thanks in advance.
  7. As I'm building from scratch, I have noticed a few ongoing problems' solutions are lost and others have yet to be addressed. Let me count the ways... 1) The looksmenu blur: This is the very start of the game. wiping off the mirror is a cute mechanic. leaving the screen edged with blur while you try to finalize your look is not! 2) The f4 news: Do we really need it? Most moders don't thanks to the modsites having their own, frankly more unbiased and detailed alerts. 3) Creation Club: (Man, it feels weird to not call it the Cash Cow) Yeah, if you want it, then the option is needed. Not if you don't! Like the news, a toggle to remove it is in dire order. 4) EXITSAVE! Can we just admit the stupid thing is Bethesda telling you they think you have a rotten potato for a brain, even if it worked right? 5) Quicksave and Quickload: These are almost as insulting, they clutter the pause menu, and they are just about as despised as exitsave. There used to be attempts to repair this hot mess but they fell away and even finding them leaves you groaning due to conflicts with MCM Booster and/or MCM Settings Manager. Frankly, the FallUI crew taking a long hard look at customizing this font of manure seepage would lead to great praise, not least from myself.
  8. Hi! i am new to modding starfield (obviously) and it has been quite a while since i modded anything else, prolly skyrim special edition was the last time. I am having issues getting Main menu replacers to work. Every other mod i install seems to work just fine. its ONLY Main menu replacers that i cant seem to get to work. I am using Mo2. i have looked at the file tree and it seems correct to me, if i look at how other mods format themsleves it seems to be following the same structure. i am at a loss for what could be happening. i am hoping some of you guys have more experience and are able to help me :smile:
  9. Hey there mod authors, and thank you so much for all the amazing stuff you create and share! Long story short - I'd like to make a song of mine (a mashup/remix of a song from Cyberpunk) a replacer for the main menu music. ~ I know there's a guide out there on how to do this for radio stations. But as I am now a father of a newborn daughter, and my wife is still recovering, I hardly even get time to play, let alone do much modding. I used to compose quite a bit of music too, though lately I rarely get to finish a mashup either. That being said - I've just about finished a great mashup of music, including "Isometric Air", one of the songs that plays on the radio in-game and at the start of the intro heist with Jackie. With it I've combined a cover of "Panic Room" (by Au/Ra) sung by a good friend (from which I have permission to share) and some other music such as from NOISIA. The song is meant to give that feeling of energetic unease, like your fight/flight reflex, and yet still be calming. It's the way I felt not knowing whether my soulmate would pull through surgery when giving birth. I'd love to share the tune here as a replacer for the main menu music, as it'd fit in well there and not affect most of the other music mods. The song isn't quite finished, and I'm still undecided on a name. I've been calling it "Presentimential" so far, but I am tempted to call it "Flatline" or something similar.   11. [Fixed] Hello, A few hours ago I had a sudden power outage just as I shouted at the Western Watchtower (probably unrelated). Now when I start the game the main menu has 0.7 frames per second as reported by the ENB GUI. Between my playing then and starting the game I had installed only an armour mod, follower, and update to Better Courier. I reverted those changes through MO2 disabling and use of its backup feature. Other games run well, including unmodded Skyrim SE on another drive (for Creation Kit). I tried sfc /scannow which reported no errors. I reinstalled VC++ redist and updated the graphics driver. I double checked I had no frame limiting setting in SSE Display Tweaks, the ENB, or on the default INIs. I backup everything almost nightly, so I brought across yesterday's vanilla game files thinking something might have corrupted from the program not closing properly. It lags in fullscreen and borderless mode. It is easy to alt+tab in and out of the window, nothing else on the computer lags. It doesn't use a lot of system resources. Slowly opening the game world through the Continue button shows the lag persists. I don't think it is a mod since it was running at a steady 61fps just before, but if it is where do you think I should start disabling? Are there any suggestions from the esteemed Nexus users? :smile: Edit: I traced it down to NVIDIA Reflex Support. Its config ini had become garbled, presumably the result of the crash. I reinstalled the mod and the game runs well now. I wonder if anything else got scrambled... (I think I'll restore the backup in full and redo the little modding I did today.)
  12. When I boot up skyrim through MO2 and load my save, it starts up normally enough but after 5-10 min the game suddenly forces a loading screen then forces me back to the main menu. Not a ctd but something else, I tried researching online but not many people have had the issue so would really appreciate any help. Plugin list is attached
  13. I have modified the main menu to have custom music, but the sound is bad quality when converted to xwm. Using a wav file causes CTD. I am using Yakitori audio converter with wav, mp3, and FLAC source files. I have adjusted the various settings to no good result. Does anyone know if there is a way to play better quality sound in the main menu?
  14. After installing FWE Part 1, 2, and the Hotfix my game stopped working properly. When the initial loading screen starts my mouse cursor doesn't appear and I'm unable to skip to the main menu, even with the keyboard.   15. My unmodded game has a weird issue with the start menu cutting off at the top even though the game has the correct 16:10 aspect ratio. It's like the menu is too short to reach the edge of the screen. No other UI elements seem to have this problem. The same thing happens in my modded game with the RaceMenu. I do know it's not a letterbox issue with the background because it still only happens to the menu itself even with a custom background that fills the screen. Hi all After years, I went back to Dragon Age Origins and I wanted to mod the main menu background image (or animation), the loading screens and the loading animation (load cog / load wheel), but I don't know where those files are located. I know how to extract the .erf files using the game tools, but which are the files for the menu screen and loading screens, could someone help me, please?   17. The main menu background changes depending on the location the player last saved in. Saved in Solstheim before quitting the game: next start will have a user-defined Solstheim background. Organised by folders. If no wallpaper detected for a region then a default shows.

So, I've got a music replacer goin, one of my own which I cannot publish according to their manager, I was wondering if anyone could find a video that matches the song 'Take Us Back" and is Fallout 4 related, I've been looking, but it's hard to find cinematic videos that convey emotion through fallout 4's engine. Song: I've already seen some things that are cinematic, but their too fast paced, they need to feel as slow and cinematic as the regular main menu but are of the destruction that was caused or something like that.

Having the ket actually go there is only logical. It should go to Main Menu. We already have a key that goes to Journal after all, so the escape? It should go to Main Menu. Two function keys going to the same place is... silly. It should go to Main Menu. There's quicksave and quickload, I suppose, but I don't use those. Several of us loathe the things.   21. Playing SSE. Using the SKSE alpha build (I understand this is probably causing the issue). The issue only happens occasionally and isn't too big of an issue, but is certainly annoying. The game will autosave (could be entering a building, purchasing an item, or anything that triggers an autosave) and then the game won't CTD but instead boot me back to the main menu.
  22. TL;DR on the bottom. So, I've been trying to run my Skyrim Legendary Edition for the past week or so. Day by day, night by night all I did whenever I had an occassion to touch the PC was to try and run Skyrim. I started off as a total newb in modding and generally the technical stuff. It was years ago that I first tried my first mods for Skyrim. It was great, it was fun, everything was broken and everything kept crashing but it was mine. I did it and I was the one having fun. Then, life has taken Skyrim away from me for said years and only lately have I come back. I got myself a Skyrim LE copy with all the shiny stuff and all. It was running just fine for the first 20 minutes. Then I decided to change the course of history (of Skyrim) and get some mods. The intro is boring and takes too long, the "Helgen sequence" is more fun if you mod 5 dragons into Solitude and simply rename it to "Solitude sequence" etc etc. Anyway, I closed the game and downloaded all the mod stuff I would need. Got myself TES5EDIT, got myself NMM, got myself LOOT and then I embarked on an adventure to find the dankest mods in all nexusmods.com. Over the minutes, hours, days I was getting better and better in modding, I started understanding things that people do not normally care to understand, I started paying attention to my load order, started doing cool things with TES5EDIT and generally got gud. Then, something unexpected and horrifying struck me down... I experienced my first ever STARTUP CTD. PANIC. Panic arised inside my head and for a second I was paralysed. "Think" - I said to myself - "Think, you're prepared for this. You've been training! You CAN do it!" and started mingling with the load order as I knew it was most likely the problem. I ticked off all the variations of the compatibility patches for mods I do not have or downloaded these mods to add difficulty and epicness. I deleted a few mods said to cause plenty of startup crashes and other stability issues. I started deactivating my mods one by one starting from the least master-like mods to end with the ones most important. I was reaching the top of my load order. My fingers started trembling with fear as I knew... In a few disabled mods I will get to the horrifying part of troubleshooting... the skyrim.esm. But I did not take my hands off my keyboard. Oh no. I turned on TES5EDIT and checked the masters for errors and missing records/files/other masters. My only ally in this war came up with no results... Not a single red-tinted message, not a single warning to help me with my struggles. Panic struck again. It had to be done... I reinstalled the game. Reinstalled SKSE, started slowly adding the essential mods and stopped at a count of maybe 5 or 7 of them. Tried running Skyrim again and then another dose of terror pierced my heart. It couldn't be... More startup CTDs? On a clean reinstall?! It was madness. And so it started again. I started disabling and uninstalling the mods. Checking each plugin for errors and verifying every cache there was. I even cleaned my WHOLE load order with T5E. It was all for nothing. It didn't matter if I tried running the game as administrator. It didn't matter if it was via SKSE or the launcher. Nothing mattered anymore. My life goal has become to run the game, that I remember running just fine so many times. Visions of dragon slaughter and CBBE orgies still haunt my dreams... The will to fight in the endless warzone conflicts keeps arising every day. But now I know what to do. It will work now. I'm reinstalling the game again. This time it's all clean. Everything I could think of. If I fail, I swear to the holy nine that Bethesda will perish for what they did to me... TL;DR Startup CTD crashes. It's not a loadorder thing, can't be. It must be a problem with skyrim.esm or one of the DLCs in my copy of the game. It literally won't let the game show the main menu. What I tried: - changing default audio settings both to CD quality and to Studio quality; - disabling every mod there was; - doing a few clean reinstalls; - verifying; - using TES5EDIT to find missing masters; - running the game as admin via both launcher and SKSE; - running it without DLCs activated in load order. So far no results. I just finished the next reinstall. Trying something again and I'll get back with results. PS: Post made mainly to help those with similar problems. If I ever find a fix that is.
  23. Being a Stormcloak, It bothers me that the main menu icon is that of the Legion. I'd frigin' love a mod that changes the logo on the main menu to that of the Stormcloaks. Wouldn't hurt if it was to spin as well ;)
  24. I am having a problem launching the game and google has failed me.. Lately the time from clicking the icon to getting to the main menu can run as long as 4 minutes, however once the menu loads the rest of the game (load times etc) runs normal no problems.. I have upgraded to windows 10 recently but the lag to the main menu was there before hand, just got worse.. I have attached my load order .. I deleted my old INI's files so all 3 are fresh... So I'm not sure where to start.. System Specs Windows 10 pro i7-3770k 16Gb ddr3 ram Nvidia GTX 680 4Gb vram The game installed on a SATA/3 240Gb PNY SSD
  25. Hello. First time on Nexus Forums. Sorry for the low ability with English. I love to play Skyrim with a huge number of mods, but I always have problems. I recently discovered the Mod Organizer, Wrye Bash, FNIS and started putting all the mods I like, but in an organized way and whenever I have problems, look for solutions on the internet to solve them. Today, I decided to post it here because I can no longer understanding what's going on in my game, but I believe that is the load order. I will publish here the log and the load order. I have about 250 mods, and up to a 225 was going well, I played for 40 minutes to test with a new game and rolled all great. However, installing the latest mods, my Papyrus made mistakes based on Mods that had already installed long before. Papyrus log: Load Order: I think it could be the load order and would greatly appreciate a solution, tool to solve or opinion of you. Cheers.
