Since there is no Mass Effect 1 topic I figured I went over to the closest thing that might actually get me help :rolleyes: I'm trying to re-texture the human male heavy onyx x armor to something that resembles me2 and me3 armor, and so far so good. I extracted the texture from an existing tpf mod here on nexus, altered what I wanted and now I'm having trouble getting it in the game. I have tried extracting the texture from the game, alter it, save with the same name and then building the package but it's not working either Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks~

Hi.. i have a problem. i found an armor really cool but the problem is.. ehm.. the hole model is fused, i mean boots torso and helmet all together and i just interested in the helmet so i tried to separate maybe in a wrong way... with the nifskope erasing the ninodes and other stuf for the torso and boots and just leave the helmet and a few necesary ninodes but doesn't work... when i put it on ck as a helmet the head disappears and when i put it as helmet with body.. the helmet appears but the body dont.. so how can i get the rigth way to work.... its possible make it without 3dmax or blender... just with nifskope cause im suck with 3d hehe thanks in advance Note: sorry i know my english is kinda cr@p
  4. Hi, I have been looking around but haven't been able to find it. I wish there were a mod that would create a fort type of mini game where you either defend of invade a fort and there are MANY waves of enemies. I feel like with the general fort there are such a limited amount of enemies that I finish forts too quickly. I want more archers showing up, more enemies per room. Make it something it is not easy to finish. Similar to the civil war overhaul that I've seen around but something I can start more often. Maybe a boat that needs to be taken to an Island where bandits or high elves have taken over a fort and I need to clean it up. This mod would be specially interesting for fast shooting archers. Where you have to shoot a large number of enemies, avoid incoming arrows and re-position yourself to avoid direct melee contact.
  5. The idea is simple but would probably take a lot to pull off. Anyone who has ever played Mass Effect 1 probably remembers the loading screen of the Normandy flying through a wormhole. The image was an animated graphic of the ship just sliding indefinitely through subspace. So the idea I had was simple. A loading screen of the Frontier grav jumping to a new system indefinitely... or rather, until the loading screen went away.The next idea is for the ship to be the ship our character is currently flying. I've uploaded a screenshot of the loading screen that inspired me to type this idea out. It would be so much better animated.

Ive got StarUI installed and being able to sort by Value/mass makes sorting trash so much easier instead of doing the math in my head, but having a mod where you can see the Value/Mass number before you actually pick it up and sort through your inventory would be a HUGE upgrade, If there is a mod that does this already please let me know because ive been looking and searched for a few terms to try and find it but no luck.
  7. So the Obligatory make a Mass Effect overhaul thread (But, with that typically comes other space titles, such as star wars, trek, firefly, etc. All would be welcome, but where do "you" fit in? Which universe would you like to see modded first off.) I started reading on how to mod the game. Seems the files convert to .dds for images, so getting advertising up here and there seems easy for background ambiance, but what can / should be done to fulfill a proper immersion in that universe? Should there be entire redesigns of races to fit the ME races on stations? Ultimately I am trying to just start a discussion on the complexities and requirements of a overhaul so that people will take up task and either do piecemeal bits, or a team get together and make something amazing. First thing though is caveats and brainstorming So, brainstorming then. How difficult would it be to change meshes for races, turn the lizard men into say, the krogan (to include voice overs discussing the "krogans" instead of lizards), changing attributes, maybe change resource names to the elements found in ME, etc Play background music from the games (not sure of the legalities in uploading assets of other games, so best to simply do a tutorial on how to take your own personal installed files and drop em elsewhere if possible and mod only some sort of converter or plugin?) Changing the posters say, in the club from vanilla naked butt woman to asari butt woman is of course essential :) Ship design changes, pirate name changes, sector changes, maybe even down the line a mega station Citadel? I think the stations themselves require the most work initially. Such potential there, and it is arguably the biggest visual fail of the game (considering it was a highly anticipated feature) Anyhow, I look forward to your thoughts, and of course for clever modders to chime in and take up tasks. Also, Thanks Nexus for making this. The game can rock with your help.
  8. I've been looking for a mod which allows you to craft multiple copies of enchanted items, crafted items or smelted items with a slider like when you sell or drop items. Just to save time instead of having to click the craft button over and over
