  1. I have almost 1000 hours played on MHW and have grown quite attached to my hunter in MHW. Is there any way for me to import her appearance over to Rise, or do I need to build her appearance from scratch when starting on Rise?
  2. Though i'm not sure if its possible, I've noticed that Leons torso model has his head attached to the costume. Making it kind of jarring to try and create a unique costume that allows my character to wear the RPD uniform without his head sticking out. Is it at all possible to manipulate/change the model so that the Hunter's head would replace leons? Or make it so that the LEON A+ uniform can be used with or without his head? Was really bummed out when I saw that the head was attached to the torso in what appeared to be a really good outfit set. I'd be willing to do it myself if someone could give me some pointer on where to get started/if it was possible to begin with.

  4. Hi ,After defraging mhw using razorcortex the game cannot access chunk file and does not give any error ,just closes after 2sec . The file is undamaged and in its proper location , but the quicksfv says file doesn't exist . How can i fix it without reinstalling?
  5. I assume this would be an easier mod to create, but I'm a noob and don't know jack about squat. Someone should make the astral leggings with the feet from thermae. I think it would be cool with the golden anklets along with the colorful anklet from thermae, since they're on opposite ankles. If color compatibility is a problem (because of the bright glow of astral default color), I understand. I, and usually others, only use them with the darkest color option, so maybe that could simplify it-- again, I'm a noob. But I can't believe this doesn't exist within the 250 pages of mods! Please, someone!
  6. Something that could make the game look cooler, and take advantage of the engine capabilities on PC would be to add the point lights effects from MHW in Rise, one of the reasons I think they avoided using them in Rise was to avoid fps drops on the NSW. But i'm sure these kinds of effects are possible in the engine considering that the little wirebug/fairy in the shoulder lights the map most of the time, the issue would be finding out a way to actually turn them on in most of the in-game effects, maybe this can be also turn on for other effects like Hits, CB phials, GL explosions and jet, Zinogre lighting, Teostra fire and explosions, Bombs, Narwa attacks, fireballs, Rajang energy beam, Valstrax attacks etc or even some map effects to make them look prettier. I'll leave the link to a mod from MHW that changes the intensity of these hit effects, maybe it can be useful for anyone trying to make it work in Rise. I think it is related to the .efx files, maybe the small fairy/wirebug effect can be compared to other .efx files in game and try to increase intensity and play around with them. I wish i knew more about that kind of stuff, but I'm too noob to move these files.   8. How do I open an efx file? Also, what kind of software do you use to edit?
  9. You know how after a quest is completed, you have three options to select a return location? It defaults to Camp, then HQ, then Gathering Hub. The default option is to return to Camp, and you can cycle between the options with the right stick pushed in or C on the keyboard. Would it be too difficult to change the default option to your choice of either HQ or Gathering Hub? Sometimes after a hunt I get too distracted talking with teammates or I simply get distracted to change it to the correct option. It's frustrating to unnecessarily have to go through another menu and loading screen to return to the hub if I mistakenly leave the default option on Camp. This mod would work well with the improved NPC locations in the Gathering Hub to spend less time messing with menus and more time hunting monsters.
  10. Preface: I have no knowledge of how to mod or how to even go about switching the folder names appropriately and haven't been able to find a good guide to do so. Given the right direction of where to get started i would gladly do so. I have noticed a severe lack of any mods for switch axe. I have recently fallen in love with the move set of the Switch-Axe, but I cannot stand the bulk of it on my characters back or even the positioning. Would there be any possible way to exchange the skins to greatsword options or even longsword options? I feel as though using switch-axe attacks with greatsword skins and/or longsword skin would look amazing and feel really cool to be doing with those weapon types as greatswords move-set is limited and longsword just feels wonky to me. So my request, could anyone do this type of thing for me? Is it possible to replace the skin for both the axe and sword modes to just one greatsword or longsword and still keep the move-set the same? Any responses would be amazing and you all are beautiful people. Thanks for taking the time to read my request.

Hey guys, some people will say this request is useless cause i just could use some shop mods or similar stuff to get those items but i don't want to use game breaking stuff :wink: But thats another topic.. I spend a ton on Hours playing MHW on the PS4 and i already wondered there: "why they just don't add the Gardener NPC to the gathering hub." I really like the Gathering Hub but im really missing that theres no gardener NPC. I like everything is in a small area. its always annoying running to the canteen from tradyard or using the elevator :tongue: And it's also the only place where u see other players. So the only reason going to town'd be to activate some investigations or crafting some weapons/armors. I would love to see this Gardener NPC full functional working at the gathering Hub as Mod. may someone tell me if thats possible or not, cause im not familiar with making mods.
  12. Hey everyone, anyone able to make a gore mod for this awesome game? I wanna see blood, bones and flesh during fight, specially when monsters get hit by hard combos or get parts broken. Monster skin getting deteriorated would be so satisfying ;) Cheers,
  13. While trying to delete that malicious cape on the male Legiana B chest, I've noticed not all armor textures can be edited to have invisible parts. On some armors, simply erasing regions of the texture in gimp will turn associated parts invisible ingame. However, this doesn't seem to be the case with all of them. Some of them will have a black texture ingame instead of turning invisible. Examples of this would be the aforementioned Legiana armor, and the Zorah armor. However, the legiana defaults to a black texture. I've talked to ZephyAlurus about it, and they suggested there is another layer in play. However, I've edited all the .tex files in a given armor's folder (except NM, can't find a way to convert that yet) and none of them (together or individually) turns the erased parts invisible (on the plus side, I figured out how to make the metallic parts extra shimmery). Does anyone have an idea what's causing this? I haven't even played the game since i got stuck on this problem, and it's driving me mad hahaha.
  14. I had an idea for a mod, and I was wondering if it is possible to do. Would it be possible to change the time it takes for a corpse or carable items to despawn in the hopes of making it so they don't despawn at all? If this is possible I think this would be one of the top mods for mhw. I myself don't possess the knowledge to explore this, but I thought I would drop the idea here.
  15. I kinda really want to be able to fire the SOS flare like regular slinger ammo. Doesn't necessarily mean tying firing the slinger to making an SOS request, I just want to fire the flare myself. In the very likely case that making a new kind of slinger ammo and tying the SOS mechanic to firing said ammo is basically impossible (it probably is), then something like replacing some common slinger ammo projectile like stones with the flare's projectile (so firing a stone from the slinger looks and sounds like you're firing the flare) will be just as good.
  16. Let's say I have a weapon, for example the Wyvern Blade Indigo and I don't want it to be blue but some other color. How do I do it? I've never done any modding before, so a step-by-step would be nice. Thanks in advance :3
  17. The default rainbow dye is kind of dark and drab. Some way to adjust brightness/saturation would be nice (even if other players couldn't see it).

Spent some time searching and couldn't find them anywhere, so I thought I'd make a thread here for sharing. Assuming I don't forget, I'll likely be uploading one of mine in the morning.

  21. So, I don't mind that I can't keep all levels at 7 simultaneously, but having to grind the region back to 7 every time you need a Tempered Elder from a specific region is a boring chore. Can it be made it so that the levels can be both increased and decreased (while keeping the softcap of 23 total)?
  22. When you are on fire, there is a fire effect on your body. Would it be possible to have a mod where this happens ? The purpose would be so that other players in multiplayer would see you on fire all the time.
  23. As You all know male armors has 2 helmet variants in most armors, one with open face and one with closed. As example alpha and beta Damascus. Male has one with visor and one without. Female has 2 almost identical helmets with open face. Alloy has 2 identical helmets instead of 1 with and 1 without closed visor. I would like to kindly ask somebody who would like to spend his time on such request to please implement models with closed visors for female characters aswell.
  24. So I stumbled across this weapon mod for Lunastra's Switchaxe, changing it into RWBY's Crescent Rose. I don't think it falls under plagiarism if you credit the author where required. I've seen other mods ported over from Chinese websites and I don't see why this one can't.
