Hey I'm a new modder but very old mod user, currently looking to learn a lot about making and fixing mods asap and I guess I learn best by doing. I have learnt some basics on CK already, enough to patch together incompatibilities in world space. I'd be happy to take on more world space incompatibilities and nav mesh incompatibilities. Just tell me which mods you want smashed together and I will try and find a way to incorporate both so it works. But I want to learn more of course, so if you suggest other types of incompatibilities I will definitely take them on to learn more but it might take me more time. I'm currently only playing LE (I just wanna finish my LE and then make an SE yknow) but I don't mind installing SE to make request patches. I'm one of those weirdos who gets more motivated by helping others than them selves, so I figure the best way to stay motivated to learn is by patching incompatibilities. So then when I make my own things I know what I am doing and don't get demotivated by the learning? xD

Sorry to post that topic again but it's getting a little bit annoying  and I never got a satisfying answer about that. I (again) no longer receive notifications for new comments on my mods (on Nexusmods/Skyrim) to my email account - nor ANY notifications at all from Nexusmods/Skyrim for that matter. Checked again the Preference tab and the 'yes' to 'receive notifications for comments on your files, images and (can't remember the 3rd one)' is still properly showing. Right above it in the preference tab is 'receive notifications for new comments on files you're tracking' - that's the only one set to a 'no' in my preferences (could they get mixed up somehow?). All others are 'yes' - NONE of them generate an emal notification obviously. Notifications from forums work, not those from mods pages. For some other members, it's the other way around apparently. Both are set up exactly the same in my anti-virus, firewall, Internet Options, etc. Why should they behave differently? I understand we cannot expect everything to work 100% as intended, especially when you're simultaneously redesigning the website, but that one is particularily annoying. It forces me to regularily hand check each one of my mods for new comments, that really doesn't make it easy to properly manage my files, does it?.. Isn't there anything to do to make it work again? Thanks.

Why is this? It's all going downhill... L_L

Hello, I recently recieved a message from the site saying that I have been promoted to mod author due to a mod I made got 1000 different downloads or similar. While this made me happy, the way the message appeared got me a little concerned, since it said "warning" in the URL adress, I thought I've done something wrong. So my question is; is this a usual thing? Sorry for asking this silly question, I'm just very new to this modding bussiness, thank you for your time.

Can we get some basic options beyond Tracked/Not Tracked? I follow many great modders, but a handful tend to post excessive amounts of images. That's fine on its own, but I don't need the notification spam. If I have a stack of say 30 notifications, 20 will be image dumps and 5 will be "X game was added to Nexus!". I don't mind the site's auto messages (I wish management would use it more actually), but the whole system is super clunky, so sorting through all the image posts takes forever. It honestly keeps me away for the site for much longer stretches, since I'd rather take 15 minutes to deal with the whole backlog than tediously pick them out a few at a time. An option to choose what we get notifications for per author would be great. Like Mods, Images, Forum Posts, Updates, Etc... /Only or /All

I'm hoping mod authors who are leaving nexus will see this post. There are a lot of mod authors whose content I enjoy and am frankly disappointed to see so many long-time mod authors leaving due to Nexus's mod changes. I suspect that nexus mods is no longer going to be the place where creative mod authors will go to upload their content since creative mod authors will no longer be able to 'own' what they have created when they upload to nexus. So this means that: - A lot of the long time, most popular mods are now going to be fully pulled and 'hopefully' posted elsewhere. - A lot more of the long time mod author mods are going to leave their mods here on the nexus but they will no longer be receiving updates. - Some of the great mods on here (and this is what pisses me off the most) have just not even been uploaded anywhere else and chances are may not be reuploaded. I really wish that they didn't just bring this in without warning us first. I mean, I didn't even know about all this happening until today. So I'm wondering mod authors: are any of you guys still sticking around to support the modding community? Where are creative mod authors going to be uploading now?

So, . I am someone who just got done taking a virtual/augmented programming class. And in that class, I learned all sorts of things, including how Boolean values work. Ergo, no, Robin, I do not buy your excuse about why you do not want to incorporate an opt out feature. In fact, adding the option to opt out of collections on the mod upload page using a Boolean value would literally take five minutes, especially if you/your employees have been properly labeling your data blocks using comments. Therefore, not only would incorporating this solution potentially prevent all the alienation from mod authors, but it would also allow Collections to work in a manner that would still grant mod authors as much control as possible. I fail to see how that would not benefit you, especially given the EULA of the creation kit as well as the TOS of Bethesda. I wonder if you knew that these changes would be a bunch of lawsuits waiting to happen. Not that it matters-according to mens rea, it makes no difference if the person who commits a crime knew it was a crime at the time. Ergo, I have a question for mod authors out there: how many of you would be willing to create a different version of your mods to use for the collections system?
