  1. Hi! I’ve grown up with this game and I absolutely love it. As I suppose most here do. I started fiddling with modding for it about two years ago. Just to see what I could do with it. Then I forgot about it and for about three weeks ago my passion for modding rose from the ashes so to say. I’ve picked it up the skills necessary and think I could manage my way around GECK pretty good. I have a decent understanding of how things work. I love stories and think that is the driving force of any good creative piece of art. So that is what I decided to create. A quest mod focused on storytelling in its rawest form. No super-trooper armored enclave soldiers with big guns or bounty hunting like mod. Just a plain old good engaging story. Much like I believe Naughty Dog aim to do with their games. Since the mod I’m currently working on is my first big mod and one that I take very seriously and have close to my heart I don’t want to spoil to much of it. But I can say that it involves a kidnapping of a woman’s two children and a cult-like vibe. Since I do take this very seriously I sincerely do not want to step on anyone’s toes or use any illegal assets of any sort. I’m just a guy who wants to show my appreciation for the game and tell a story. I have tried to navigate through resource mods and see which I can use and which I have to ask for permission for. But it is difficult and I feel a bit restrained. I come from a graphic design background and love to draw but I can’t manage to do this mod AND learn blender or any other 3D making software. Even though I would very much like to learn to do it myself later on. So my question to you guys is as the title says: Did this peak your interest and is there anyone who would like to help out to create this dream of mine become a reality? Things I haven’t found and would like help with: Old burning candles. Preferably animated and lit. But also in an off state. pedestals Altars Misc clutter for an underground village custom Creatures (if I’m not able to use monster mod without having to make it a requirement) Probably a lot of other stuff I can’t think of at the moment. Other things I need help with: voice acting Someone to brainstorm ideas with. If anyone likes creating custom houses, caves, world spaces etc I’m interested in listening to your ideas. For that matter, if anyone want to contribute to anything, anything at all. Be it, writing scripts, fleshing out side quest or what ever. Please DM me or write here. This is as I’ve been saying, something I’m really passionate about and want to finish in the best possible way. I can see my vision for it and I can see how I would go about doing it - almost haha. Which makes it so exciting. Also, I have never posted anything here, I have no idea how it works with people helping each other out in the modding community.   2. Dear Modders, I have personally enjoyed settlement mods, such as Lynn Woods and many, many others. I know modding isn't easy especially when you are new. But there are some things that are a pain in some of the settlement mods; 1. Please make everything scrappable at the location. Sometimes the "Scrap Everything" mod doesn't get it for some reason. 2. Please make the settlement so the player can populate and add their own shops. 3. I really, really hate the Wicked Shipping site as a settlement. Thanks for all you do. Rob
  3. Hey there, bros and sisters. I´ve seen most mods outta here. And there are some really good voice actors. In fact, there are great ones, i have to admit. We´re searching for new ppl to talk the lines for our "DLC" Falkreath Creek.. I need tons of ppl, to get an difference in voices. So i need YOU, if you think you´re talented and have a good enough Microphone. 3 things, to gather the ppl: - English accent ( i know, iam german, but the nexus is almost english, so i need people with no german accent, or another (maybe there are ones that sound slightly as english/american). The thing is, i want to make it as authentic as a normal RPG would be. So if you´re interested in joining this big project (it`s ongoing for almost 3 years now) please tell me. I would love to put as many different voices as i can into the story. I even have 2 spaces open for 2 main charakters. If you wanna know more, tell me. I would be happy to see ya here. Since it took us many years to get this far. - Standby As the project goes on, i need ppl that "don´t die" or are there in a later playdown (we´re planning on going for more than one DLC) - Encouragement, You have to bring the feelings over to som eone other in the dialouges.   4. I would like to see a new area and suitable quest mod around a large dark and eery forest. Like Mirkwood in LOTR, or similar.
  5. Basically what I am requesting is some more enclave items that can be obtained without having to use the console. For instance an enclave base where you can reactivate it. And in there you can obtain remnant armor, MK 2 armor, Enclave officer, Enclave Scientist, Hellfire, and Tesla armor. Another function this base provides is the option to obtain Enclave colored robotic companions. Such as an Enclave Sentry bot, Robobrain, and Mister Gutsy. Similar to how the ammo press works in the pit. You put in the items and out would pop a new robot. So for instance would need scrap metal, Sensor module, Mini gun, missile launcher, Fission battery. And out pops a Sentry bot with enclave colors. For Hellfire armor I understand you are unable to directly port the armor. However I do know you can legally have the hellfire armor if someone models it and then puts it into the game. They do the same with ordinator armor in skyrim for instance. And I know there is that one mod that puts it into the game but requires you to go into the Broken steel game files. Which from my understanding is illegal. But if a modeler makes the model and textures it such as the Midwestern Brotherhood armor it is legal to do so. An idea for the base with base personnel is to be able to find and hire new people. For instance get a fully stocked science lab and be able to research new perks or items. Upgrade gear and such. Then you could have an engineering team who could upgrade your robots and build vertibirds. They in turn can build power armor for you and your men. You could speed up research by bringing advance tech such as laser weapons or power armor sort of like the outcast adv tech quest in Fallout 3 Now that I think on that it makes the base sort of like X-Com. Where you can research better armor and weapons. But it is for the Enclave or a possible Brotherhood faction. Excuse my somewhat rambling in this as well.
  6. So, I have been binge watching some "Abandoned mall" videos. And in short it just shows old malls from times long past. Thus, it got me thinking.. Why isn't there a Huge mall settlement? I know of the Haymarket mall, but in honesty it's more of a Mini-mall and not in my opinion Viable to be a settlement. So in short, I'd love one day to see an indoor mall settlement. My opinions and suggestions.-- So the Idea I have been having is that there be a huge mall on the outskirts of the Main city. Looted of course, as it would be the first place people would go. Maybe even a Gunner area. The mall should at least have two floors, and big open pathways. (Normal for malls, and would provide plenty of space for building outside of the inner shops.) And maybe add a restoration quest for lights, and Radio. ( Just imagine hearing the radio mod "Super duper radio") Or even a quest to de-flood the bottom floors as malls tend to flood when abandoned. After that, I'd say the rest would be just for flavor. Such as a underground subway, a parking garage, ect. I'd also probably prefer it to be in the main world, instead of an interior. But that'd probably be impossible unless it was an open mall not an indoor. AuroraMoon made a good point, I was thinking only about how big raids would work. But that's all only my opinion. It would just be cool to have this big indoor city you make.. and even rival diamond city. I honestly wish I could do this myself but I think even for an experience mod creator, this would be a large undertaking. So instead of letting the idea rot in my brain. Might as well share it.
  7. Alright, so I'm having the most bizarre issue. I decided to make a post because I can't find an answer anywhere. Whenever I enter a new area there's a 50% chance that all in-game text will become totally randomized. This has to be because of a mod, but I can't identify which. Attaching screenshots of my mod list, as well as examples of the text randomization. Has anyone experienced this?
