I've made my first mod for Starfield, a mod which removes all XP bonuses and maluses from all Gameplay Options, and adds a new Gameplay Option which does nothing but increase or decrease XP by a desired amount. As an .esp, the mod works exactly as intended, with no real issues. However, when I convert it to an .esm file, it creates an issue where the Gameplay Options are duplicated. My new XP Modifier option is there, but there are also two instances of every other Gameplay Option, one which does not affect XP, and one which does. Looking in the Creation Kit at the .esm shows that conversion to the .esm for some reason makes all the Gameplay Options I changed into duplicates, and restores the original Gameplay Options back to their original parameters. So now there are two instances of every option, one that is a duplicate and has my changes, and another which is the original and has the vanilla settings. This is also true for the Gameplay Option Group, which has one GPO_PEO file which is the original and does not have my new XP Modifier option listed, and then a duplicate, which lists all the duplicate Gameplay Options that the .esm conversion created and also DOES have my new XP Modifier option. Am I missing or doing something wrong here? I would be fine with it staying an .esp, but I don't think it's possible to upload .esps to Bethsesda.net, they have to be .esms. Attached is the functioning .esp, the .esm with the duplicate options, and Word doc that explains the mod. Hey anyone who happened to see this. I've been playing Fallout: New Vegas for a while and I wanted to make the experience better overall. I'll probably start modding other games soon but for now New Vegas is the one I plan to mod. Expect me to be asking for advice a lot when it comes to modding, i'm very bad at actually editing game files and such :<

Hey everyone! Name is PK. Nothing special about me, just a gamer who recently upgraded his PC and is now beginning to play games on it :D Once I saw the awesome additions that mods can make to games like Skyrim and fallout, I couldn't resist joining up :D More specifically, I love survival elements in games. You know, managing how hungry, sleepy, thristy, etc, you are and trying to survive in a dangerous situation. That's why I like games like FNV, State of Decay and other games like that :) Does anyone have any suggestions to what games have a lot of awesome mods created for them? Any games suggestions? Or any mods for the games i mentioned? Thanks guys and I look forward to future mod playing! PK

I've heard Nexus has a installer program of some kind that helps with mod instillation, is it game specific (Example: You would need the Skyrim version for Skyrim mods) or is it a general installer for all Nexus mods? Additionally could someone provide a link or some sort of direction on where to download this? Is there some sort of FAQ on this site? I've looked around a bit and haven't found one and I'd rather not ask a bunch of questions needlessly so if someone could point it out to me (If it exists) I would appreciate it. Lastly are there any topic that are banned on this site (Politics, Religion, ect.)? Just wanna know whats okay to bring up and whats not. Thank You for your time, have a nice day!

So, I have no idea how to upload screenshots to Nexus. I'm still really new at modding. There was a bug report I wanted to make, but with no idea how to upload pictures, well...lol. (It's a good mod, but I have friends who get upset when even a tiny problem appears when they make their mods, so I figured I'd send them to the mod author.) So far, it's my favorite mod.
