  1. So.... the notification system worked for me for a single day after the 20240202 Update. Now, it looks like this... (Don't let the "zero notification" fool you, there're around 20 notifications before I clicked that "reload" button.)
  2. Before, I would have around 3-10 notifications about mods per day (either mods being updated or uploaded). Now, I got nothing, all of the notifications I've got so far are "New Photoes" have been uploaded... To make things even worse, when I actually went to see if there're any new mods released by the authors I've tracked, I found many and none of them was brought up to me even once after the update of the notification system.
  3. I'm really wanting a mod that'll somehow notify me that I've entered combat. Whether it be a glow around the edges of the screen, or a message popping up and fading... Anything, really. I like to play stealthy, but I don't like to be sneaking constantly. And I find myself pressing Ctrl to go in and out of sneak to check if I've gained aggro on some baddies while I'm out exploring. I'd rather just be automatically notified somehow.
  4. Sorry to post that topic again but it's getting a little bit annoying :confused: and I never got a satisfying answer about that. I (again) no longer receive notifications for new comments on my mods (on Nexusmods/Skyrim) to my email account - nor ANY notifications at all from Nexusmods/Skyrim for that matter. Checked again the Preference tab and the 'yes' to 'receive notifications for comments on your files, images and (can't remember the 3rd one)' is still properly showing. Right above it in the preference tab is 'receive notifications for new comments on files you're tracking' - that's the only one set to a 'no' in my preferences (could they get mixed up somehow?). All others are 'yes' - NONE of them generate an emal notification obviously. Notifications from forums work, not those from mods pages. For some other members, it's the other way around apparently. Both are set up exactly the same in my anti-virus, firewall, Internet Options, etc. Why should they behave differently? I understand we cannot expect everything to work 100% as intended, especially when you're simultaneously redesigning the website, but that one is particularily annoying. It forces me to regularily hand check each one of my mods for new comments, that really doesn't make it easy to properly manage my files, does it?.. Isn't there anything to do to make it work again? Thanks.
  5. Why doesn't the nexus have a track option for comment chains? For instance I make a comment in a forum for a mod and if someone was to reply to me then I should get a notification that someone is trying to respond to me, super simple stuff.

About 4-5 times now, I've set it so I recieve notifications (but NOT emails) for the following: Posts quoting my posts Replies to followed topics New topics in followed forums Personal Messages + pop up Replies to PMs But every few days, I'll stop getting the notifications and start getting the emails again. I go and check what the settings are, and they've been reset to the default (email for everything except PMs, which has nothing). I always make sure to click Save after changing my preferences, and the changes apply for a few days, but then are reset. Does anyone know the cause of this problem?
  7. I am tired of seeing I failed to assist a settlement when I missed the notification. I would like to see one or more of the following; 1) The notification bar does not go away until situation is over. 2) The notification flashes 3) There is a sound effect of some kind Thank you!
  8. The Crafting Shopping List. Core idea: -A layer of GUI that enables players to plan what they will need and what they should be looking for while acquiring crafting materials. How would it work? -A new menu in the inventory would be called "Shopping list" (or whatever). -In this space, players would view everything they have the skill necessary to craft. -From this space, they could select a list of things they are planning on crafting. -As this happens, the mod would look up the inventory of the player for all of the materials necessary to craft these things, and "place them aside", to ensure that players don't accidentally consume these materials while working on other things. -Anything that the player does not have in their inventory for crafting the things in their plans, a new layer of GUI would appear whenever the players are shopping, or opening containers. This would be an extra icon that shines, or otherwise grabs attention, that informs the players that this item they are looking at is necessary to fullfill their shopping list's needs. Expansion ideas -The same sort of extra icon next to items could also be used to inform players on the topic of enchanting, whenever they stumble upon an item whose enchantment they have yet to learn. -Once the shopping list has been satisfied, it could be as simple as reaching a crafting location, and click on a button that automatically queues up the crafting of everything in the list, without needing to navigate through a bunch of menus and risking accidentally crafting the wrong thing. -Part of the shopping list could also be included the materials to improve weapons and armors, so that once they are crafted, they can be improved with a planned supply of materials. I am very sorry to propose this idea without being able to actually accomplish it myself. I lack the programming skills to even begin fathoming the actual implications, and my work schedule does not allow me the flexibility to sit down and spend the potentially hundreds of hours learning how to do all this. I have done due diligence, checked out as many mods as I could with as many relevant keywords as I could, I have not located this sort of feature. If someone has already done this, please inform me. No need to be rude about it, there's only so much keywords searching one can do when the verb they are using to describe the task is essentially made up. If this mod actually gets made, I ask only for my name somewhere buried deep in the fine print nobody ever reads. To ask for anything more is unfair to the people actually making the mod.   9. I play on expert, my girlfriend plays on adept. I almost always forget to change the difficulty setting when she has been playing, and I load my own save file. So I would love it if the game would notify me of the current difficulty setting when a save file is loaded. I've been googling around, watching some tutorials, checking out the Creation Kit wiki, and reading some forums. I felt like I got some idea of what elements to incorporate ("Event OnPlayerLoadGame()" etc), but my modding skills are very basic, and I was never able to really... compile anything (literally and figuratively). If anyone could fix this, I'd appreciate it a lot! :)
  10. So I am looking for a mod that tells me whenever an NPC dies anywhere (So basically just within my cell because I don't know how else they'd die.) I want a notification, whether it be in the upper left of the screen or elsewhere, that a named NPC has just died, whether or not I am the cause of their death. Preferably this would be a fairly robust mod with abilities to set certain NPCS (And unique animals such as certain named dogs or passive mobs) as unmarked and marked, so I don't get a notification every time a raider or radroach dies. But if it happens to be a robust killfeed that I can look back upon on the press of a button, I won't complain about that either. Anyone know of any mods like this?
  11. hi, i would like to ask if someone can make a mod that notify us when an enemy got some part of the body clipped, like in FNV, it would helps a lot to know if the enemy got legs clipped when you use kneecapper mods, i searched entire forum and nexus page, but i didn't saw someone asking for this mod. thanks in advance

Hello, I wanted to create a script that checks if the player character has armor parts equipped on their respective body slots and shows a repeated notification text depending on that (within some time intervals). For example, as long as the player has no armor piece on their torso (body slot 41), the script would show a message informing about this every 5 minutes (or less, or more - doesn't matter at this moment I guess). Unfortunately, I'm a complete bonehead as for scripting or coding, tried to read some tutorials, checked CK Wiki, but I just don't seem to understand all this coding language. I tried to compile a short script that shows a message just once at least, but it turned out a mess: Event OnInit() if (Game.GetPlayer().WornCoversBipedSlot(41) == 0) Debug.Notification("Message text here") endIf EndEvent Actually I don't even know what I'm doing wrong here.Is there a good soul out there to give a hand in this? Or at least push me in the right direction? :) Thank you in advance!

I don't know how you guys came to understand this particular card game, but it took me about 10 times to reread the manual (which is long and hard to read on Pip-Boy interface) and hours of internet search to finally understand how to play this game. While it's true that you can finish the game without playing a single caravan game, it is a great feature which sadly many still don't understand. So I propose a mod that adds tips as notification to events in caravan games to help beginners understand the rule. I imagine that the notification would be similar to those implemented in recent version of microsoft games (spider solitaire and the like, starts from Windows 7 edition). Here's some of what I think would be useful: Notifications for illegal moves whenever player try to play a wrong card (something along 'cards is not lower than 6 or doesn't have the same color')Notifications for sold caravans ('Redding caravan sold', 'You have two caravans sold', etc)Winning/losing notifications ('Ringo has two better bid caravans', 'You have no more cards to discard')[Optional] New button for help (Yes we could access help via pause menu but you have to reach the end of the help list to read caravan rules)What do you think? Is it possible?
  14. You know when you eat an ingredient, and it give you the notifications in the upper left hand corner? Like "fortify magicka discovered" etc. How do I keep the message on screen longer? What is that called in the creation kit? I'm playing with some mods, and in the regular game too, and sometimes things flash faster than I can read. Part of the problem is that I'm not very bright, and I read slow. So I've got that going for me. But is there a way to make the notifications stay on screen longer?? thanks!

  16. I don't know if such a mod already exist. I couldn't find anything like it. I think It's annoying that you can't know what kind of soul, is attached to what kind of gem. A notification like "Grand Soul Gem Filled With Lesser Soul"
  17. I desperately want to disable the horrible and redundant pop-up notifications for certain perks such as Burgher, Chameleon and others. I've been trying all the wh_ui commands, and the only one I've found to work is wh_ui_showhud 0. This disables the whole HUD, which I do not want. I have been searching the .pak files for a texture that I could replace with a transparent one, or the code that runs these popups, but I haven't found anything so far. Could someone with more knowledge of where things are located tell me where I can find the textures for these popups? I think that would be the simplest way of doing it, let them run but be transparent. Any help would be appreciated.
  18. hi! when someone replies to a comment I post on a mod (not at the forum but at the Posts comments at mod homepage) I never receive an email about it, and at my settings all email notification options are enabled, any idea how to fix? The main problem is, I keep several tabs opened for mods that I posted a comment and from time to time I check if someone replied to it, searching for my own name; that is too boring to do, and also I guess it creates unnecessary site usage for the server :/, only I am having this problem? Can it be fixed? thx!
