I would love a mod where you can adopt lots of children and create your own orphanage, or even put different kids in different houses, regardless of where your spouse lives. Because you can get kids without a spouse, and you have a housecarl for all of your houses. I think it would be cool to be, like the Eliza Hamilton of Skyrim and raise all of the orphans.

Hey all, I'm currently trying to set up a script for an elevator, and didn't have much success using a timer within the script to delay the activation of the door. As a result I resorted to using an activate parent. I have set it up so that the script applies an imagespace modifier and plays the sounds etc when a control panel is pressed. I also made this control panel the activate parent of a door, and 'Activate' is called on the control panel in the script, which should activate the door. I have just figured out though that using an activate parent through a script seems to crash the game? I also ran into another problem, although a solution for this isn't as urgent. I made a custom sound to go along with delay caused by the elevator, and made a new sound effect for it. However when I called the sound in a script using 'PlaySound' no sound was played. I used a .wav the same as the default game sounds, but maybe I missed some extra info when I exported from Audacity? If anyone knows how to solve either one of these issues, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, BayK.

Kind of odd in Fallout 4 how you are very much forced to play a certain kind of character considering every other Fallout game leaves things more ambiguous so the player is free to fill in the gaps. I mean I can work off of what the game establishes but with my next playthroughs I like to play a completely different character and what if you didn't want to be a middle ages parent? What if you wanted to play a teenager, or an old person? It's kind of hard to play a ruthless evil waste-lander when you've been so loving and caring to your husband. I mean you could but then there's no consistent character motives and that hurts my brain. One suggestion I have is that the starting couple might have a much older child, say a nineteen year old, that you could choose to play, or maybe a grandparent. This would maintain the plot of needing to find the baby. Or a full alternate start that's more ambiguous like Bethesda's other games yet still establishes a need to find the baby.

I am trying to parent a weapon mesh to an armature so It will play in blender with an animation. I can't seem to find information of this. Through trial and error I find out how to import the skeleton armature with a keyframe and then how to import a body mesh's geometry and parent it to the skeleton armature. Which is where I found the only thing closely resembling what I want. A scene root weapon listing which looks like what I want. However I can't figure out how to link a weapon mesh to it or doing so is what I want. Attempting to import the weapon blindly gives me one of two errors. You must select exactly one armature in 'Import Geometry Only + Parent To Selected Armature". However I selected the same as I originally did for the body. Or "Nif has no armature Scene Root" which I assume is the weapon mesh as nifskope doesn't show a scene root in the weapon mesh however if that is that case how is it even supposed to be done? The weapon mesh is a vanilla one pulled from the game. Everything I searched on the issue is about how to create or edit keyframes none of which I need to do and none are related to New Vegas or even F03 I even poured over some TES information. It doesn't appear I need to import the hands either. What am I doing wrong how the heck is supposed to be done? Anyone around who knows how to do what I am attempting?
