  1. Hi all, I'm interested in making a mod. I've noticed a weird bug in FO4 with the power armor, if you open the pipboy in 1st person while in a power armor suit, when you exit it, it seems to stutter for a split second and the FOV changes, seemingly by only +/- 1 or 2. This does not occur if you open and close the pipboy in 3rd person. It does it regardless of any FOV settings I've tried via INI or command line. I've seen some others posting about this bug going as far back as 6 years ago, and would like to fix it for the community. I downloaded Creation Kit, and found the PipboyPowerArmorImod file in the master Fallout4.esm, I'm assuming I'm looking in the right place or close to it. Not sure where to go from there though. Any thoughts? Hi, [Edit: problem solved, scroll down to post 3 if interested in the issue and solution; The first question below, though, still stands as I'd really like to know if...] Is there a console command to show all perks the player have? (and most importantly their refIDs) I mean similar to how "player.getav <actor value name>" show the chosen value as a result. or a cgf, or whatever it is that the pipboy code actually does to bring your perk list as you click/scroll to that tab... I'm even searching in some scripts to see if I find anything, but so far no luck. The most simple thing would be to click on the perk line but that seems to select the nearest thing in the area behind the pipboy (and now I feel silly for trying that) I want to narrow down what perk is this mysterious perk showing up at the top of my perk list in the pipboy, no name, no description, no animation. (in case anyone's wondering, i'm testing some icons with iconlibs2 mod, but that part i've been doing for a while, this blank perk issue is new) I tried googling the issue, the only thing I found was a mention of some mods editing companion perks causing this, and idiot savant level 3 applying the temporary XP bonus as a blank perk entry. But my character has neither any companion perk nor I.S. at level 3 (have it at 1). I'm pretty sure it was something from a mod or even some personal edits I made with FO4Edit/CK, but after hours carefully looking at each entry in the last few added/edited mods, the blank perk is still there (at the top which is most annoying). Either way (a mod error or a vanilla thing) I'd like to find its ID, and see if I can either make it hidden or at least give its name and description. Thanks in advance Cheers!
  3. I am running Jay's ENB on my modded FNV. Now the ENB works fine. Issue is that when I pull the ENB the yellow/orange hue of the basegame returns and haunts me. Pics could explain it better: (When outside etc) (When pulling the pipboy) See the hand, its blackish/orange-ish and the pipboy screen is not affected by the ENB, where its borders should be brighter like it is in game. How can I fix this?

  5. Hello! I'm looking for, or requesting, a mod that would modify the Pip-Boy's UI to the way it was in previous 3D Fallouts. You know how it used to work in Fallout 3 and New Vegas? If you wanted to go from Weapons to Ammo and then back to Aid you could just click the category you wanted, no skipping through all the stupid enteries in betwen? I'd like that back :smile: Check out this image, i highlighted what i'm talking about, in Fallout 3 you just click on a category and you're in it. In Fallout 4 they are not all visible and you have to click through them one by one to get to the one you actually want. I'd like to get it back to the way it was in all categories, not just Items. Is there any way to do that?

  7. what i mean is, i'd love a mod that makes the regular pip-boy menu into something full-screen like it does in the power armor. The regular pip boy menu feels a bit too claustrophobic for me.
  8. Any attempt of help is fine. I try installing a pinup as a background for my pipboy. It worked a couple days then I added a couple more mods then my pipboy background turned into a stock image I assume. I try installing any other pipboy mods that can overwrite this but nothing changes. I even tried uninstalling a couple mods i installed before and after i installed the pipboy mod and nothing changes. After some researched I thought NMM changed some preferences but my Fallout4Custom ini still shows [Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal= Can anyone help?
  9. I noticed that the time shown in my pip-boy differs from the actual in-game time. For example my pip-boy tells me it is 10:00pm, which is rather irritating when the sun is still high in the sky. Anyone else experience this?
  10. When I use pipboy, it's information I want. And even when I move the pipboy as close as I can, the screen with info only takes 760x600 pixels (and I'm being generous here) out of 1900x1080. That is 456.000 of 2.052.000 pixels. That is 22,2% of avalible space (wow! that's a ot less than it seems at a first glance). I know, the pipboy is one of the beloved symbols of Fallouts, but come on... I'm pretty sure making the player hold the pipboy closer to his face should be easy any decently experienced modder with a geck installed (it's probably a little animation tweak, right?). It would be nice if it had some ini so that everyone could balance their desire for information visibility and aestetic taste, but two or three presets (throught using different mod package) shoud be enough to fullfill most of the needs of those who want to hold it closer.
  11. I have already downloaded quite a large number of mods and surprisingly haven't ran into many problems. The real big issue I have is when I load into my savegame in the top left corner, an error message is shown, constantly updating. It reads " HUDFramework|GenericUpdate| " followed by a bunch of numbers and points. I have already re downloaded and reinstalled the little number of HUD effecting mods i have and was wondering if anyone other than myself could look through my load order or already knows a fix to this frustrating issue and may find something I've overlooked. Also when I open my pipboy a slight green tint is noticeable in the background of the screen, ( My eyes playing games or just how the game is ? ) now im not sure if its just me being picky and this is a game limitation improving legibility and if this could be changed/ fixed in some fashion. Finally if anybody notices anything that could be changed with my load order to help out overall, it would be much appreciated! I have the Pip-Boy Readius mod installed, and i don't like how its turned sideways ever so slightly in first person, so i was wondering if there is some sort of console command or a .ini config that can reposition the Pip-Boy so that it's turned slightly clockwise. If not, is there a way i can edit the animation via Nifskope?
  13. I want a more immersive way to play without the pip boy on your arm and having the mods that remove the pip boy while not in use it is jarring when it comes back to access your inventory. I think the perfect solution for this is the Pip-Boy 2500 mod from fallout new vegas. For those who don't know what it was, it was a hand held pip boy that replaced the original.
  14. In the Fallout games (3, NV, and 4) pip-boys freeze time when used. Although players use that to their advantage in dangerous situations, it is unimmersive. I think it would be more of a challenge if the pip-boy wouldn't pause the game when entered. And, frankly, I want to be able to play the pip-boy mini-games to pass time to wait for the crops to be harvestable and to wait for shops to open in the morning. I believe that, in vanilla, mini-games seem pointless if you can't use them as an alternative to waiting.
  15. Iâd love to completely do away with my PipBoy by making it so the inventory screen you see when in Power Armor is the only inventory that comes up whether in PA or not. Also if it can be made available for Xbox One as well that would be great.
  16. TL:DR - I would like the Fallout 4 mobile app to work in Fallout 4 VR so that my friend can be like a helpful A.I. and do pip boy stuff while I play in VR. I have a friend that plays probably 10x more fallout than I do, and i've played a fair amount. Anyways the other day, he was over and after he played some FO4VR, we discussed a fun VATS build and I wanted to hop in and have him help me flesh it out in early stages. Long story short I walk into a room, and I jokingly said "Cortana, how many hostiles come up on scan" Well he had played so long that he knew and said "3 up the stairs on your left, drop down to 2 more and then 3 across the walkway" We then got the idea that if we could connect FO4VR to the mobile app, he could get accurate map readouts of my area, stim me when needed, set waypoints for me, and swap weapons on my command.
  17. Hey people, I just started a new game on survival mode and my pip boy is too small for me to comfortably read the text (even with my glasses on). I usually pop open the console to fix this but now I can't. Can someone please tell me which line/s in which file/s I need to edit to make it bigger on my screen. I do use the Fallout 4 Configuration Tool - By Bilago but I can't find a setting to adjust this.   18. Good day, I am working on a mod for Fallout NV. In this mod, the PC (player character) is supposed to lose pipboy at one point (it should be become both invisible and inaccessible), and retrieve it later. In order to preserve the pipboy independent of what model it is (or maybe one added by mod), I am saving the pipboy reference, which I get from GetEquippedObject, to a variable in a quest script. Then I remove it, addressing not the item ID, but the ref variable. Removal had problems as well, but I got around it using the RemoveItemTarget function. set upipboy to player.GetEquippedObject 6; player.RemoveItemTarget upipboySeems to be working fine. The pipboy is removed, although the sound still exists while trying to open it, But when I am trying to recall it back, using the same variable, there start the problems. The variable is certainly not empty or invalid, cause when I add a printtoconsole with %n upipboy, the PipBoy name is retrieved correctly. Adding itself works fine, I can see it in player.ShowInventory. I can equip it via the console. But when I am trying to equip it from GECK, using the same variable, Fallout crashes to desktop. player.AddItem upipboy 1; Seems to be working player.EquipItem upipboy; Crashes hereI tried using EquipItemAlt instead of the default function. No luck, the result is the same. What may I be doing wrong? Is it possible to work around? Thanks. EDIT: It seems that EquipItem is simply not working on PipBoy. I cannot equip even a simple PipBoy by its base-id. So what shall I be using instead? EDIT2: I finally found a workaround. As far as I understand, PipBoy for some reason cannot be equipped in GameMode. The easiest way (if not considering adding it in a conversation, etc). which might not be always suitable would be to add some menu in front. player.srm; player.AddItem upipboy 1; player.EquipItem upipboy; ResetPipBoyManager con_closeallmenus;Seems to be working so far. Although I wonder whether there is a smarter solution...
  19. Hey everyone, Recently I've got a weird bug/ glitch/ possible conflict in Fallout 4. It seems that my character's body turned invisble, except for the head and the pipboy, when switching to first person, the hands are plain and pink (see screenshots), which tells me that there are probably some files missing. (Game worked fine beforehand). I've seen a similar problem posted on reddit about half a year ago, though there the problem only occured when wearing a specif armor. I stripped my character of all items through the console, so it (probably) isn't some piece of armor that causes this. I also used player.recycleactor and the body is still missing. Does anyone know, how you can fix this or get your body back? ^^
  20. Anyone know if there is a mod that either allows you to set tabs on the pipboy (like Weapons, Armor, Ammo, etc.) or adds a Mod tab for configuration items that often come with mods? Having my Aid filled with mod tools annoys the hell out of me.
  21. First off, I hope this is in the right section. I'm not a frequent user of this forum. Not sure if any one remembers me posting this a while ago (hence the badly-named thread title). I had an issue which I couldn't quite work out. Basically all my controls will stop responding out of nowhere. My character will start moving differently (his arms stuck down his sides and running like he's dancing a jig, as I'd describe it), my mouse buttons stop working (can't bring up PipBoy, equipped weapon, aim, etc) and my keyboard becomes unresponsive (escape doesn't work, neither does quick-saving). If I'm in first person, scrolling out with the mouse wheel causes my character to flicker where you can briefly see him in third person. Well it's still happening. Since my previous post, I gave up with it and stopped playing NV. Only recently I was missing the game, so I started playing again, hoping the issue had resolved, but no. It's still there, kicking off randomly when after I've played a lengthy amount on a new save. A couple of points that I think are relevant: 1. It happens on a new save (I have several hard-saves, though I usually start over when I install/remove mods). When I started playing again I started fresh saves, I also removed some mods I didn't fancy anymore and installed some new ones, starting fresh each time. 2. No errors listed in LOOT, no mod conflicts, I carefully install mods and test them out, and remove mods that don't work. 3. I get no problems early on in a new save; 100% of the time when it's happened I've been level 15+...this may be a coincidence, but it's happened like that each time...I have no problems up until I've been playing for several hours and levied up a lot, and then it starts occurring. 4. I don't have an overload of large mods and I don't install rubbish, mainly small fixes, tweaks and additions. I do run the game with FNV4GB as I have a large graphic overhaul mod as I find the vanilla graphics/texture unappealing, and I also have NVSE as I use a few mods that require it. 5. I have FOOK which is one of the bigger mods I have, I'm wondering if that's part of it, whether the game's camera is conflicting with FOOK, or if there's a line of text in the game.dat (I believe it's called) notepad file that's enabled and shouldn't be. Again these are my speculations so they're just "maybe it's this...". 6. It's not hardware related. My mouse is virtually new and my keyboard, though I've had it for a while, works 100% and does not play up or have connection issues ever. Everything's connected correctly to my PC and I don't use plugged-in controllers. This time I recorded it in action using my tablet. I had to do it with one hand as I couldn't find my tablet stand, plus it was late at the time, so please excuse the average recording quality. I was level 27 or so, the longest I've ever played without this weird issue happening. I cut out the remaining 20 seconds or so of video, as it showed nothing of interest apart from me backpedaling away helplessly from a Mother Deathclaw which had magically spawned after I reloaded a save, and since I can't do anything with my character except for slide around awkwardly I force-closed the game. I hope I can get this sorted. If you wish to have more video of it happening then let me know, and I'll go and record some more of it when I have the time and upload it to YT and link it here.
  22. this dumb glitch is really annoying and fustrating when it happpens cause i love power armor but sick of this glitch, sure there is console commands to fix it but i'd like some to try to make a fix for it so i dont have to anymore it happens alittle to often to count it's a glitch that puts a frame over you so the game still thinks you in power armor even though your not so the pipboy screen when you presss tab is invisable and uses the UI from when you are in power armor but only shows the bottom bar
  23. Hi everyone I've recently spent a lot of time on a full companion mod, which includes romance, full dialogue options and a perk that the player receives upon 100% affinity. However, I do not know very much about making SWF files. In the PipBoy on the Stats panel there is a list of the awarded perks but for mine it's just a blank screen as there is no SWF file to occupy the space - if there is anyone here that would be willing to make something for me (I will PM the details if I get a response) I would be very grateful and you would be credited in the description.   24. Sorry if this has already been requested but I have not seen it yet and this has long been for me a major issue with the vanilla Fallout 4 game. The vanilla pip boy inv categories are a nightmare navigating mainly because only a couple of categories appear at any one time. This forces you to click to the side to scroll to your required cateogory eg. It may seem I am making of it a bigger problem than it is but then it is the small tweak mods which are often the best.
  25. I loaed my last save this morning and when I opened my pipboy the screen was unreadable (see attached .jpg). I had turned very dark with even darker areas. I loaded a some other saves, same result. I ran Steam verify, same thing. The game has no other issues and the perk screen looks normal. Any help please? Windows 10 running on i7 and nVidia 980gtx
