  3. I'm just curious, what's stopping modders from making jvk1166z.esp be a real mod instead of just a story? Cuz from reading the story, it sounds like the actual changes to the game itself aren't actually that complicated when compared to most of the bigger mods. So it sounds to me like it would be simple for most of the modders who know what they're doing. So it's just making me wonder what's been stopping modders for years from making this mod a reality? Even if it's just the changes to the game itself and does not include any of the file corruption or DOSbox stuff? And of course I'm not including any of the irl stuff from the story either XD I'm just talking about the game itself.
  4. Hi everyone. This is just a simple question. I might be going crazy (lol) But when I make a huge weapon for Skyrim, when sheated on the back etc it looks like it have the same size as I modelled it, but it does not matter, everytime you unsheat it looks like it has been rescale to a smaller size. The same happens when weapons are on the ground, they look a lot smaller from what they should be. Am I seeing things or this is actually a thing?

Hey everyone, I'm currently looking for a compatible way to add some items from a mod I'm currently making to existing leveled lists, and recently ran across the LeveledListAddForm and LeveledListRemoveForm functions added by the Lutana NVSE plugin. However, there is no info about these plugins on the GECK page, and I can't find it elsewhere, so I have a few questions (links to information about the functions would also be appreciated). The first obvious question is how do I actually use the function, something like LeveledListAddForm (Leveled List) (Form) I'd assume? Second would be about how the function actually effects the lists that it adds forms to. I know the vanilla command AddFormToLeveledList saves the changes to the save, and they persist when the mod is uninstalled, right? So do these functions also do this (I'm guessing not, since there is a Remove version which I could use)? Finally, would the script used to add the items to lists with this function need to run once every time the game starts, or just the once when the mod is first installed? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out, BayK.
  7. Hey guys I'm new to the whole modding scene and I learned early on that I would have to manually install all my mods,due to a lack of space on my c drive for NMM. While most of the mods I've wanted worked fine with me just extracting the files with 7zip into my data folder. But I'm having issues with body replacers such as CBBE and UNP. What I've done so far for CBBE was extract the file into its own folder then going in and dragging all the meshes and texture files I found. But I still only have the vanilla body, which is now clashing with my fair skin complexion mod so I have wierd discoloration between the neck and body on all the female characters. Thanks for the help!
  8. So basically I bookmarked a ton of mods I will want to download in Skyrim to immerse the gameplay a ton. And basically, I have this error popping up whenever I want to download them.   11. Hi guys! Last time I played ME 3 was just few months after its release. Now I've decided to re-play it to celebrate Andromeda. My first run was 100% vanilla game, this time I'm doing it with mods, EGM especially. Here are some questions about it but I'll keep add more as I 'meet' new stuff I don't understand 1) in the hangar, there's the 'hydraulic decking' button. When I press it I just hear a mechanic noise but I don't understand what happens 2) What do I get from assigning people to tasks in the new terminal voices? For example I have two roles with no one assigned to them, and I could assign joker to one of these roles (but he's already pilot) 3) in the non-crew section, I have characters like wrex, samara, jack and so on. What can I do with them? Will they be one of the 2 mates i bring in battle or they will be additional to the standard 2 mates? Also, can I already add for example Jack? Even if I haven't gone to meet her at grissom's? 4) the weapon chest in the hangar, what does it give? Weapons otherwise unaccessible in the game, or it is just getting weapons immediatedly instead of finding them aka cheating? These 4 questions for now :)
  12. Hello everyone. I am new to SKYRIM as well as modding. I have spent a restless and huge amount of time learning how to mod and install certain software. I even set up Real Vision ENB then switched to Tetrachromatic ENB, and got almost 340 mods working smoothly in the past week and a half. What's bugging me the most is multiple characters and wanting different animations and idles for them and don't want the male character I'm going to make move like a girl. In Nexus Mod Manager, if I have two animations of the same nature, the last one installed will take the place of the previous one. Here are my questions. Can a mod idle or run, sprint, jump animation be switched and saved in game per character with the console? If so, how should I go about doing this? Is there a mod with a list of idle and run, sprint, jump animations that can be changed in game via the Mod Menu? If there is one, can someone please provide a link? I found these two but, they were last updated in 2012 and there is no decent (only found 1) tutorial on how to do this and how it works.   13. Okay, im going to try to keep this as focused and as short as possible. Ive been running skyrim on steam now for about a month. Im to the point where Im fed up with the steam workshop. im completely unsubing all mods from that and going to try something else. basically what im looking for is what do I need? I see people talking about wrye bash and other mod utilities, bashed patches and merged patches. im not stupid when it comes to this stuff but i am, i guess - ignorant? I dont know where to begin. to basically give an idea of what I really want the goal of this to be is, im looking for mods that affect level lists (new weapons, armors, spells,npcs,monsters,bosses). anything that adds great variety to the game, without breaking it, also graphical mods. these type of mods (adding actual stuff) are generally most important to me. as the game has a pretty weak selection of weapons and armor an they get old pretty quick. I crave variety. I had a few mods from steam workshop that required the use of a bashed patch. I sort of messed around with wrye bash an got the gist of making a bashed patch so that the loot level lists can over lap and not just load one or the other. At least that what i think I did. It worked for the most part. Thing is I had at one point about 150 mods running. you know the saying. mod it till it breaks. Well its happened twice now in the past 3 weeks. this will be the 3rd clean install im doing on the game, and I just know its because im not doing something right on my end. I really want to dig in and gain a greater knowledge of how all these things work to create my perfect skyrim. What finally caused it this time was everytime I went to a vendor the game crashed when i asked to see their inventory. I started a new character cause my old one kept having issues with ctd when i went to kynesgrove to advance the story. among other areas its happend too. so I deleted that an all the saves. did a new bash an started a new game with alternative start. wound up in markarth an talked to the orc smith near the waterfall. asked to see her stuff and game crashes every time. to sum this up, I want to mod the fudge out of this game but I really want to slow down and do it right, I came here to nexus for two reasons. Its been like 10 years since ive been on this website and I remember it was pretty awesome and I here all the best mods that arent on steam are here.
  14. i could realy use some help ive been trying to get those 2 mods to work together on my rig but all i end up is my characters type 3 body with underwear and i dont want to not use the shoujo race mod cause then id lose gatling alice is there any mod that works like the type 3 girl mod that works with the shoujo race mod?

Here we go:4 Is there a better way to disable the walk away option than disabling player controls in the Begin Fragment of dialogue, and then re-enabling them?Is there anything specific I need to do to make it so my mod doesn't require SkyUI, but if you have SkyUI installed there will be an MCM?   16. Hi, I'm in the process of making a mod that adds enemies that are aggressive, and act like they're guarding something. So far, I have the npc created with the appropriate gear, and I need help with the following" - How do I make it so that when this enemy dies, they disintegrate into black smoke like the Kilkreath Shades? - How do I make sure you can't loot their ebony gear, and only be able to get the random gem loot?   17. Questions: These are 2 problems/questions I am having and need some help with. I hope it will be answered soon enough. :laugh: Also if anybody mods and can teach a guy some stuff please PM me! Question 1. How do I import voice files into the Quest Dialogue View? I am wondering when you're in "Quest dialogue view" how do you import voice files without having to replace the "temp" file. (I can't get that to work without having the dialogue being all the same). I'm working on importing darkrouge21's voice acting, but can't get it to work that well. Question 2. How to make a follower get custom dialogue options and voice. This is something I want to know how to do, because most tutorials I come across only make them help you in fights not follow you, have dialogue or anything else. Is there a way I have the quality of the LOD meshes match the quality of the actual terrain? LODGen does not work. The textures for the LOD and actual area do not match at all.
  20. I'm working on a mod for a player crest and colours to wear on livery. That presents two problems for me, but one is a menu issue and that's beyond my current level. I want the player to be able to choose their colours, and for those colours to show on the livery models. Is there a method to recolour a clothing/armour mesh with an overlay? If I paint all the variants myself, the colours will be limited by necessity. And, as I said, I'd like the player to be able to choose them. Any advice?

  22. So while playing through the Honest Hearts DLC, the texture on the Desert Ranger armour was missing, and being replaced with things like molerats and other odd textures. The helmet was fine, just the armour itself. Then while playing through the Lonesome Road DLC, the same thing happened with the Riot Gear armours. I knew it was /something/ mod related, and I tried looking into and figured it was an archive invalidation issue, well I turned that off, checked it, it was back to normal, but obviously a ton of my other mods were gone. Then I turned it back on, the issue came back. I can post my load order if that helps, but really, any advice would be great, thanks.
  23. Is it possible to add new tag that will provide additional information into pip-boy Status section? Is it possible to make that END will define benefits from food instead of Survival skill? Is it possible to change skill's associated attribute? Is it possible to change skills' initial value formulas, formulas of Unarmed Damage, Skill Rate (skill points per level), Experience Modifier? Is it possible to make that value of every attribute will restrict max value of associated with it skills (so, for example, it won't be possible to create master of sneak with AGL of 1, or dignified scientist with INT of 1; 10 in the attribute will be required to be able to achieve 100 in its skills)? Is it possible to change penalties for not meeting weapon requirements? Is it possible to implement heavy armor minimal endurance requirements (AGL become reduced by 1 for each missing END point)? Is it possible to make that LCK will have influence on some merchants' assortment? Is it possible not to lose the second sock? P.S. Perhaps it is worthy to rename this thread into something like "All questions here" and pin it up to prevent similar threads spawning.
  24. Hi everyone! Fingers crossed no one minds I'm posting this question here! I'm still new, and getting the hang of how things work around here! I used to work on a rather ambitious Morrowind companion mod, with said companion having a comment for nearly every single cell and quest occurring in the game. I ended it with a ton of nearly finished dialogue, but scrapped it because scripting isn't my strong point. With Skyrim, I've become recently very enthusiastic about voicing my own follower NPC, but I'd like for her to be quest/area aware, as well as able to prompt her own (simple) personal quests. Like with my Morrowind mod, I'd like for her to have a lot of depth when it comes to her content and dialogue. Again, scripting is not my strong suit... Unfortunately. Would someone please be able to point me in the right direction? Is there some sort of template available that I could use/reference? And/or a 'Making a Follower Mod For Dummies 101' tutorial? Haha. Since I recently bought this game(yesterday), I have been roaming youtube for potential mods and I came across these 4: Helgen Reborn Falskaar Wyrmstooth Faction: Pit fighter Inigo 2.0 Monster Mod (Reborn/Lore Friendly whichever is good or both) My question is, are these 4 mods compatible with eac other? If yes, what other mods do you suggest I add to improve the gameplay/immersion? As I mentioned above, I am relatively new so any suggestions are welcomed as well! Thank you!
