Hello, I'm new to forums and just a ton of things in general. If I make any mistakes, feel free to yell at me  Short Summary I need a mod that allows all vanilla functions (Activate, Pip-boy, Jump, etc) to be rebound to keyboard keys probably using NVSE (I'd assume), preferably through MCM. I know it sounds really dumb, pointless, and redundant, but hear me out pls!! (EDIT: This was a mod request. Just clearing that up.) Long Summary (Note: I talk a lot about Xpadder and controllers, but you don't need to know/learn either for what I'm requesting. Trust me.) I've recently been playing New Vegas again, this time with a controller. Right now I'm using default controller support, with Xpadder over it to handle modded keybind functions (Project Nevada, Solid Project, etc). It's okay but not ideal. If you don't know, Xpadder remaps keyboard & mouse keys to controller and can do some cool things like hold to activate and stuff like that to add multi-functionality to buttons. But there's some problems... 1. Problem with Xpadder: it can't do analog or more than 8-directional movement (movement speed; w, a, s ,d, wa, ws, sa, sd only), so Xpadder movement is choppy as hell, which are some of the only few selling points of a freakin controller over kb&m. The default controller support movement on the other hand is a lot smoother. 2. Problem with default controller support: Just for example say you're setting the pipboy and activate functions (No way would this be serious): New Vegas - Y button to jump Xpadder - hold Y button to E key / New Vegas - E key to activate Result: the game wouldn't "activate" because New Vegas default controller support doesn't allow simultaneous keyboard use. If controller support is enabled, keyboard inputs for vanilla function outputs are disabled. However it's not the same for modded (and what I'm guessing are NVSE) functions. If instead E key was set to toggle flashlight (Flashlight NVSE mod), it would toggle but New Vegas wouldn't be able to tell the difference and would jump before the toggle. So ideally: Xpadder - tap Y button to spacebar / (Mod Suggestion) - spacebar to jump Xpadder - hold Y button to E key / (Mod Suggestion) - E key to activate So conclusion, just super basic, I need a mod that just remaps the vanilla functions to different keyboard keys in a way that supersedes the vanilla game. I love modding New Vegas, messing with the GECK, and fiddling with mod settings to make it feel new, but I'm not any kind of coder or mod-maker. I don't really interact much either. I'd really appreciate anyone who can help and idk... name my first born after you. If you have comments, suggestions, questions, etc feel free and I'll try to check back often. (Idk how anything works.)

Apologies if I am asking for something that already exists, but I can't find anything. I tried many times to find an existing solution to this. Section 1 --- Removing an irritation and annoyance --- I keep accidentally drinking potions and equipping items directly from loot. This is not because I don't know what the correct button is to do what I want. It's because I forget and screw up, and I believe I screw up because, in the barter menu, the trigger button 'takes,' but in looting/container menus the same button 'uses.' I would like to give a giant thumbs down to whoever designed it this way. Just in case it may be relevant: I am using VRIK with the "VRIK Player Avatar Controller Bindings" mod. I tried to see if I could figure out anything by reading "controlmapvr.txt" in it, but i could not. Any of the following solutions would suit me: (1) removal of the 'use' function from containers/npcs altogether, or (2) have a confirmation dialogue to confirm that I really do want to drink that potion right out of the dead bandit's pocket, and put on his crap armor instead of what I'm wearing, or (3) re-map the container/npc buttons to do the same thing in all inventory menus. That is, I would like the trigger to 'take,' not 'use.' I believe the best solution overall would be a combination of solution (3) along with (2) with a possible option for solution (1). I probably actually would go for solution (1). Rarely, if ever, I have wanted to equip/use directly, even from a follower. __________________________ Section 2 --- Adding a convenience --- I would like to be able to blacklist items from being taken while looting. Specifically, I would like to be able to blacklist clutter and low-value items like Draugr weapons from being included with the "take all function." Again, I have tried searching through existing mods many times with no success.

Since I've been able to do this in other games where button remapping isn't allowed in-game, I wanted to try it here as well. I'm specifically interested in changing the Vehicle controls. After searching through the .lua files I've only found this: 00 > Tpp > Scripts > Ui > TppUiBootInit.lua SetButtonMap("UI_VEHICLE_FIRE",fox.PAD_L1,fox.MOUSE_CODE_LEFT)_. SetButtonMap("UI_VEHICLE_CALL",fox.GK_PAD_NO_BUTTON,fox.KEY_Q)_. SetButtonMap("UI_VEHICLE_DASH",fox.GK_PAD_NO_BUTTON,fox.KEY_W)_. SetButtonMap("UI_VEHICLE_CAMERA",fox.PAD_R1,fox.KEY_F)_. Which is definitely what I'm looking for, but those are the only Vehicle controls mentioned. Any ideas on where to find the rest?

I would like a mod that sets(or allows us to set) the dismantle/discard option in the UI to ANYTHING OTHER THAN MIDDLE MOUSE. I can't play the game like it is, because no mouse I have has a middle mouse function that No Man's Sky accepts. I'd really appreciate it if somebody could save me from this agony. And no, no mouse emulator works. And i'd only use AutoHotkey if somebody pre-made me a script file that binds / to middle mouse.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if there's a way to map the sprint action to a button other than L3. I'm using a cheap gamepad that heavily resembles a PS2 controller with x360ce and the dinput blocker because I hate the whole "Button 5," "Button 7" thing. I ask because pressing the L3 button repeatedly breaks the left stick after a while and makes it unbearably jerky, which effectively renders the controller unusable (mind you, this has nothing to do with the quality of the controller -- I find that the quality only really affects how long it takes for it to break, since the same thing eventually happened when I tried both the wireless 360 and Dualshock 4 controllers). I can't afford to buy a new controller every 2 weeks or so no matter how cheap, and I'm not a keyboard & mouse guy. lol Please tell me there is a way...

Personally, I'm too used to pressing the 'Z' key to pick up objects, and I too frequently end up stealing things in mistake instead of picking up objects or items. Is there a way to remap this key to something else? or is it hardcoded into the game by default? Please help  Thanks

Hello Is it in fact possible to remap the grab key from holding the activate key to just pressing the Z key? Personally, I think it was a bad move that they would change it to that, and from my point I tend to accidentally pick up stuff too often when trying to move it - often with disastrous consequences if the item is marked as owned, and I end up stealing it and the town turns hostile :P Would it be possible for a mod to re-implement the Z-key as the grab object key instead of needing to hold E to pick stuff up?
