i'm playing skyrim with some rather interesting rules to spice up the game. this made me think that maybe others out there might be interested in spicing up their gameplay in the same way. and i'm also interested in hearing how others spice up their gameplay. so this topic is to discuss these things. my self imposed rules is about limiting what i loot from enemies. i decided to play by this rule when i noticed how easy it was to get everything i could ever need without having to buy them. if you have an iron sword and you want to upgrade to a steel sword you're not gonna buy one. you'll either craft one or you'll loot it off the corpse of some bandit (and let's not forget how easy it is to find decent equipment from chest). looting everything also makes it easy to have lots of money. for example, if you take on a radiant quest to eliminate some bandit camp you'll make way more money from looting and selling everything you can carry back from it than the quest actually offers. now there's a decent amount of things to buy. like spells and crafting material (and maybe healing potions). so money isn't completely worthless. but it's so easy to have more than you actually need when looting is your main source of income. by making questing my main source of income, not only do i feel like i earned every bit of gold i make, but it also makes quest feel more meaningful. even something as simple as arrows become more valuable when you can't just loot them off enemies to have an infinite supply. now this isn't to say that i completely abstain from looting. rather i just limit it. i still loot crafting material, but to avoid becoming rich by simply sell what i craft i use a mod that reduces how much items sell for. and of course i also loot quest items (and notes). animals are also fair game. finally i do loot treasure chests but i use a mod that reduces the amount of items and gold i can find in them. well that's pretty much what my self imposed challenge amounts to. now for you people, what do you think of my self imposed challenge? and what are yours?

As is says, Instead of having to increase the world textures and slaughter my PC, I play on High Textures, but I'd prefer the armor/clothing/character textures you get from ultra quality, not quite sure if it's possible, but seeing as how all this stuff is separated in the cvars and stuff, thought maybe each texture was it's own value or something.

Hey there, first time on the forums! I'm really desperately looking for a mod that allows cars to self-drive. I thought for sure at the end of the Delemain questline that it was going to give Del the ability to be called for transport services, like it had been many times before in the game. Does anyone know if this is possible, and/or how much work would be involved? There are a couple scripted scenes of self-driving, and I'm upset that they aren't continued later in the game.

Hi I want to make a mod where animals cast a spell on themselves under a specific condition. First I tried doing that without scripts via abilities with conditions. But I need the spells to have a duration. Apparently this is not possible with abilities, because they have no duration and are allway active. So I figured the best way would be to have a script that casts the self-delivered spell when the condition is met. Unfortunately I don't know much about scripting and I don't want to make a mod with a bad script that could ruin your save. Could someone help me make a simple script that makes an animal cast a spell on itself when a condition is met (the condition is that the animal is fleeing)? That would be really great! Thank you.

Basically after like 10-20 seconds (or any other variants) the junk fence gate will close on its own. I hate that my supply lines always open it and leave it wide open for anybody to come strolling in. i took time to wall off and secure my base and i'd like it to look the part too

Is it possible? I ticked the no duration checkbox but the spell still expires instantly. It's a fire & forget spell that is cast on self. My current solution is to use a constant ability but I just want to know if the latter is possible or not. Thanks.

I have been looking forever to find a spell to heal yourself much like the Healing spell. Of course when you become a vampire that spell no longer works on yourself and instead they give you an undead heal spell that heals your TARGET, I guess they forgot you may want to heal yourself too. This seems like such an easy thing to do, although it might not be :( . And if by any means there is something out there that allows me to do this I am sorry and would gladly appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction
