  1. Went traveling or on a vacation? why not share it with your forum friends?
  2. Can't find a mod which makes all the settlements share the loot in the workbenches, just like the junk. Thank you guys
  3. Hello. What do you think of this idea?: Everytime you recruit someone as a follower which is neither paid in advance nor a minion or a housecarl, the game keeps track of your current gold and the gold you earn (looting, trading and questing) while this follower is under your service. Once you decide to part ways or whenever you rent a room (or whatever else events) you'll have to share every single septim you made throughout your journey. Your Follower gets a specific percentage of what you all earned together. That's just fair, isn't it? I always find it odd, that followers seem to do everything for love. They have to eat and make a living after all. Or they would if they were real... you know what I mean. Here is my plan: You should get the opportunity to adjust all the values in a mod config menu but I think this would work: Beginning of the Game: Everyone get's equal amounts. Once the player becomes Dragonborn (by the greybeards) he gets an additional share depending on the players level. His share is calculated before the loot is shared further: -lvl 15: 5% of the share -lvl 20: 8% -lvl 30: 10% -lvl 40: 12% -lvl 50: 15% - ... -lvl 82: 30% Example: 1 Player (lvl 15 and Dragonborn) and 1 Follower earned 1000 Gold: Dragonborn gets 50G +50% of 950G, Follower gets 50% of 950G. I got this idea from Sid Meier's pirates where the player needs to share everything he owns with his crew once in a while. I think skyrim could very much benefit from this since the economy is ridiculous. Fixed my quarrel about the waggon wheel? Here you have a pile of gold! Got the necklace from my sister? I'm a beggar but here is a pile of gold for you! And so on. You always end up having tons of money and no whay to get rid of it. This would probably fix that for quite some time in the game. What do you think?
  4. A sample of what I listen :
  5. Hey, I've had a lot of troubles setting up supply lines, only to find out only the junk section of the workshop get's shared. I've searched around the internet in hopes to find a mod that changes this, only to find other people as baffled as I am that this mod still doesn't exist. So, here is my request: Create a mod that allows supply lines to share the entire workshop inventory to the other settlement, and not just the junk section. Thanks in advance!
  6. Hi guys, So yesterday night i made myself a huge fort for my character, without any other npc. It is located in the hangsman alley. As the title say, any one of you know how i could export the camp. I can share my save, but its not really the same as you will have to continue the quests ive done. Thanks for your future help. Cheers
  7. I am trying to temporarily exchange all items of Player and any NPC (including, or rather: especially companions). Soon after, I perform the exchange again to give all the items back to the original owner. I tried a few ways to do this, but so far only RemoveAllItems worked for me. (Of course, I had to make use of a persistent container to perform the exchange.) I tried using manual iteration in different ways but nothing worked for me. (Possibly, I was doing something wrong.) Anyway, it all looks good so far, but I am wondering about quest items or scripted items from various mods. The wiki page mentions some issues with quest items. Actually, I don't care about quest items much. I totally wouldn't mind leaving them where they are. Is there a chance that there could be bugs or stability issues caused by using RemoveAllItems (for transfer) on player or NPCs?
  8. Would it be possible to add Tumblr to the array of social media share buttons on mod pages?
  9. I just started modding Skyrim with the creation kit a couple of days ago, I have shown my friend what I've done and he wants to help. Is there a way for me and him to work together on the same mod in two different places, on two different pcs. I know he could DL my mod from steam workshop then mod it, then I would have to DL his version of my mod and mod it, etc.. and go back and forth forever but is there another way, say google share or sending the file straight to him via email?
  10. This idea may have been suggested before, but I just wanted to share my take on it. SUMMARY: > Concept is called "Vortex Collections" > Import/export mod collection lists - Mod lists of whole game mod profiles, enabled mods, installed mods - Examples of possible user submitted Vortex Collection ideas: - "Game Fixes Collection", "Graphics Overhaul Collection", "Real World Weapons Collection", "Custom Quests Collection", "Realism/Survival Collection" RATIONALE: > Increasing user satisfaction: - It a more pleasant and seemless experience for casual players and players who mod heavily to have a centralized and reliable way to easily keep track of their mods. - Could attract more people to game modding if it's quicker to install a bunch of mods at once. - Could contain lesser known mods and increase their popularity. > Monetary support: - This could be a premium feature to handle the likely new download traffic increase in players downloading whole lists of mods. - Anyone can export but you must be a premium user to import. - I know you can just screen shot your list of mods and share, but Vortex Collections would be a quick and automated way that would handle many of the tedious steps. IMPLEMENTAION: > General: - Save Vortex Collections to user accounts and share them on nexusmods. - Have a section on nexusmods dedicated to Vortex Collections that have their own caterogies. - The Vortex Collection file could be a JSON file that saves the titles of mods, their download links and so on. - Lightweight version that has only the nexusmodpage, download links an no other details. - Simple text file that has a title and uses new line delimiters for each link. - Importing would be the same process. > Importing Vortex Collections: - New sidebar button called "Collections" or "Vortex Collections". - Direct import: - To a new game profile, merge with an existing one or create a new profile. - Installs mods sequentially with the window/panel title "Install Vortex Collection (name of collection)". - Show table list of mods: - Select which mods to import. - Sort by category, endorsed, date and so on. - Check version (if applicable): - grey text = newer versions unknown - green text = current version - red text = new version > Exporting Vortex Collections: - Exporting the list of mods to a simple JSON file and encrypted/compressed into a vrtxcol file. - Example fields: - description - datecreated - categories - Mod list fields: - nexuspage: Nexusmods page of the mod. - name: Pull title from nexusmods page (download names often differ). - author: Pull author from nexusmods page - Custom file extension like .vrtxcol which registers to Vortex in windows explorer. > Mod availability: - Before finalizing import, check if mod is still available. - Mod removed by user: Offer to open link to original author in browser. - Mod banned: Display a message saying mod was banned due to TOS violation or whatever the reason. - Mod under review: Display a message saying mod is under review. > Verifying pre-existing manual downloads: - Hashcheck on both nexusmod download and local download to see if it's the same file/archive. - Verifies archive zips/rars only. If valid, vortex will install it. If you'd like me to expand on this idea, please let me know. I can work on some mock UI screens. 11. Was wondering if a means to back up a mod list and vortex settings (or just make it portable) would make its way into Vortex for those occasions when you have to reinstall the program. Right now if you reinstall windows you're basically forced to start Vortex from scratch even if it's installed on a different drive and if that wasn't enough metadata for the mods are wiped too. This leaves me to delete and redownload every mod I want so I can continue to receive updates (unfortunately, the guess id function in my experience does not do enough to correct the issues), this is not practical as it wastes time and the server's bandwidth. Having a sort of manifest that logs a mod's filename, version, and web URL and updates along with the mod would better protect against inevitable issues by allowing you to restore metadata when Vortex decides to forget, or could allow you redownload the right mix of mods when that GameDrive dies, or just allow people to share their own mixtape of mods for those interested. I would also like to see Vortex receive a portable option, not just installed on a different drive as this causes issues when Windows needs to be reinstalled which in my case tends to be way too often, or just backup the settings so that they can be restored later.

  13. Most people on this community got a sort of interest in modding, in the sense of using and creating. Many here are very talented mod authors, some may have this has their primary profession and for other this is just an activity they do on the side or to kill some time. I am interested in knowing if this is your primary interest, or do you have other activities that interest you more? Perhaps multiple hobbies and what is your profession? Seeing what type of combinations of interest people got and what brought you to modding and this community? I myself believe I got a weird range of interests, example: I am currently a 2nd year Emergency Medical Service apprentice. I also recently volunteered for service in the national guard, ''effort'' - force / rapid reaction force (directly translated), infantry reconnaissance, previous service; royal guard. Interests: emergency medical response, military, mountain trips, physical activity, playing games and modding (to the best of my abilities). Playing games like TES and Fallout brought me to this community, it started as a huge thing to play Oblivion and Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360; then I realized that there were more content available for the PC - versions of these games and that eventually led me here. Due to the nexus I kinda converted slowly from console to PC. And quite the amount of time have been dedicated to this over the years.
