  1. Initially, I had the idea of creating a quest anthology. However, I believe it's better to focus on one thing and do it to a large scale. Plus, there should be more downloads for multiple mods than for one mod, even if it's constantly updated. It's just a draft now, with a lot of filler lines. It's not finished and needs editing, as I'm not a native English speaker. Also, I'm not very good at creating locations, especially open ones. So Mindnautics needs: - Editor and additional writers (and ideas); - Location creators; - Unique models wouldn't hurt (like a duck) - I'm sure I can handle game scripts for these quests, but it's better to know exactly what I'm doing. Mindnautics Quest tags: Dark Sheogorath, Psychonauts, funnish. Mindnautics: Sanctuary - based of ESO book A Gift of Sanctuary Mindnautics: Do Daedra Dream of Daedric Sheep? Other ideas of minds: Side madmen, which can be found in the Collective Unconscious. The player can also get paid for them.
  2. In my exp, Skyrim allows the player to feel powerful if they level up and get the best perks for their class (efficient leveling). I think it's way too easy once you do that, though. Maybe the game should be divided into regions: most of the known world is automatically set at "Adept" difficulty (Normal) while special areas of the map are set to Expert, Master or Legendary. The default system of difficulty where you can modify the multipliers to make yourself weaker and your enemies stronger on a global scale feels extremely disconnected from the game, giving the impression of a cheap solution to the issue. In Dark Souls - one of the most difficult battle oriented RPGs out there - the game is set to an extreme of difficulty where everything can and will be very hard, except if you already know enemy patters and perfect strategies and timing and etc. BUT the game doesn't offer the experience of what would be like to play as a Black Knight, for example. I think it's a genius approach to medieval RPGs, yet it's understandable that a single game won't be able to offer every pleasant gameplay available out there. In Skyrim maybe you can feel more like a Black Knight to most enemies, or a Nameless King or a Sister Friede. HOWEVER I find myself installing mods just to give me more of a souls-like challenge (or other difficult combat challenge that follows another style and approach). That's why I think a combat focused RPG should offer both scenarios if possible. One where you are very powerful if you hone your skills through effort and at the same time fight very difficult enemies out there (probably the minority except if it's a high level area set apart from the main world) who can either match you or greatly overpower you. I'm trying to mod my Skyrim SE game so it can fit this scenario (if any of you can point me to a few mods that do this besides getting involved in the discussion, I thank you in advance).
  3. Hi, I'm trying to create a new modlist from scratch, and while trying to start a new game to test if everything worked, the game would ctd on load (also when trying to load a previous save). I mostly have "basic" mods for now (debugs, optimization, ui and some others) I didn't get a crashlog until I used trainwreck, but I don't really know how to read this. Could someone help me identify what's wrong? Edit: I think the important part of the crashlog is: "Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FF652C29843 SkyrimSE.exe+0CE9843" I don't know what does '0x7FF652C29843' nor how to find what it refers to. crashlog.odt

I gotta say Im surprised no one has made any sun wukong like mods at all, but with the release of Black Myth Wukong I figured people would get creative and start remaking armors or a new race or add the attack animations or quarterstaffs. Hell even the spells from the game or versions of them based on the journey to the west. I feel like it would be incredibly well recieced
  5. Hey all, so I just redownloaded SSE and a bunch of mods. Most of the game works great, however on my worldmap and viewable in-game there are some LOD models missing textures.   6. These white pixels of static keep popping up on my game. I’ve taken ENB off and it does nothing. I’ve disabled mods and it’s still doing it. Anyone have an idea of the cause or the fix?
  7. Hi there, Not that simple to make a short title with enough info. I get an unexpected behavior from my button/portal minigame using a script. Basic : three buttons controling five portals, depending of their combination of activation I use : - Three Dwemer Button - Three ButtonMarker (Xmarker) - Five Portals (Activator for now) - Five PortalMarker (Xmarker) Each portal is linked to its PortalMarker with the "enable parent" feature. Each PortalMarker is initialy disabled, the Portals follow. Each of the three Buttons is ruled by the following script which do this in short : - Play sound and animation. - Check its button (ButtonT in the script) state and sets it in opposite state. - Wait 0.5sec (just in case, not needed) - Check state of button1, Button2, Button3 and then enable portal 1 if combination matches (Combination are given later in the post) - Do the same for portal 2, 3, 4 and 5. Things work fine except when : Button 1 is 0 (Disabled) Button 2 is 0 (Disabled) Button 3 is 1 (Enabled) Portal 3 is 1 the other are 0 as they should When activating Button 1 Portal 3 should disable and 4 enable. Portal 4 do his job but portal 3 no. I get its debug message telling me it gets its order to disable. But Portal 3 does not... Other combination will disable him as it should. I have checked many things and many times my script, links, markers, buttons, ... And i really do not understand what is going bad here. So i ask for your help.   8. Was trying to do install ostim and a few other nsfw mods and whenever I start a new game and go to the female character option in the character creator the game will immeadiatly crash.   9. Would anyone be willing to make a mod that changes the color of dragon aspect to blood red but doesn't add wings or a tail nor touches the stats? Just purely a color replacer. Ideally similar to the color of this spell.

  11. Skyrim V: Special Edition Hi everyone I need some help on how to put in game presets to have a nice character in creation. To mod the game I followed this guide. Modlist I would like to import these things: Risa the Firemage Follower (CBBE 3BA)(Preset for Racemenu and ECE) = of this I have installed the two main files CBBE 3BA (3BB) = this is the main file Chobby Bodyslide Preset - CBBE - 3BA - 3BB = this I installed the main file and optional files with MO2 When I open the game and create a new character I have the ugly character. I go into the presets, load the preset I have: Chobby Preset.jslot and load me the preset u see in the photo. If it's possible I'd like to select the 3 presets I've included here in the post and have the character match the preset with the HD skin and the rest of the stuff. I hope someone with a good heart can help me. It will be the 10th forum that I ask for help and in some forum no one answered to my post...
  12. This is my first time posting in this forum, and it's my fifth time trying to apply mods into Skyrim Legendary Edition (main game + DLCs), first time with Vortex. I have all the mods I wanted (save for one which is unfortunately only on special edition), made sure to resolve every conflict and issues that Vortex flagged and notified me of. I followed video instructions for installing SKSE and SkyUI. I looked up every possible article to try and resolve this issue myself with no luck at all. I reinstalled everything, restarted my computer, shut off my computer and turned it back on, but nothing works. The issue I'm having is that once I make a new game (didn't have any saves beforehand), one of the mods takes you straight away to the race menu. About a minute passes without any issues, but then the cursor suddenly disappears entirely. I'm unable to progress through the Race Menu after that because I can't navigate from category to category (body to face, face to eyes, etc.). If I open the main menu by pressing J/journal, the cursor reappears. But when I close the main menu again, it disappears instantly. From what I looked up online, everything and everyone says this is related (most likely) to SKSE's menus. So my question to those with far more expertise in this field is, what do you think the problem is? Is there a way to fix this? If you guys need the full list of mods I have installed I can get the list, but I wanted to ask first in case one wasn't needed.
  13. Hi everyone, I am new to the forum so please forgive me if this has been posted before. I was thinking how the transmute spell should have been part of alchemy and not magic, there is an argument for both but i think it would make more sense when it comes to gameplay. You even get a proper menu in alchemy, and you could theoretically transmute anything in the game, or duplicate rare items and ingredients. Skill books could be stuff like The lesser key of Solomon and stuff like that. I always felt like the alchemy in Skyrim was lacking and should have been much more than "just" potions and poisons. Especially since the dudes that actually tried and engaged in "the great work" was more hardcore in our own world than they are in a badass universe like Nirn.. Thoughts?

  15. Of all the superheroes out there, the Ghost Rider is among my favorites. The Spirit of Vengeance is nigh-unkillable, can conjure weapons, turn all the pain you inflicted on others against you, and just looks awesome. I found a Ghost Rider mod for regular Skyrim, which looked incredible. However, I feel like a Ghost Rider mod could contain more. Here are some of my ideas. 1. An alternate start that allows you to make a deal with Mephisto, granting you the power of the Ghost Rider. 2. You become more powerful as you use the ability, unlocking more skills and stuff as you progress. You could unlock more conjurable weapons, abilities like the Penance Stare, more durability, and so on. 3. A quest that allows you to uncover more of your power. For example, the quest could enable you to learn the roots of the Ghost Rider. 4. An ability that allows you to summon a flaming, skeletal horse that's faster than vanilla horses and can't die. Or is, at least, harder to kill. 5. Make it available for the original Skyrim, SE, and AE. If this is too much, it is what it is. Can't ask for everything. This is a mod that, I think, would be incredibly cool!
  16. Hi, After the New Patch for the Creation Kit I found all the Scripts for the base Game was Deleted (Source & Object). I have tried to re-install the Creation Kit but to no Avail, the Scripts are still missing. Anybody Else having this issue, I cant Compile my Current Scripts, (Source Folder went from +-11000 Scripts to 400 (The 400 is from installed mods)). Bethesda just keep saying they don't support the Creation Kit. Anyone Know Where I can get a Copy of the Base Source Scrips. The Objects Version I can get from the .bsa files. They don't seem to understand that they removed a Integral part of the Creation Kit and without that Most of the modding possibility in the Creation Kit is now NULL and VOID.

Ok, so i spent a while trying to find a solution to this problem, but it seems that although people are struggling with this, they do not have the exact same problem i am having What i think i should state as being important first. 1. Yes I have completed several citizen quests 2. Yes i have completed the quest line involving getting rid of the skooma dealers, including clearing out Cragslane Cave 3. I have been offered by the Jarl to become Thane of Riften 4. I have enough gold to buy the house 5. I have not done any of the Civil War quests Here's what's going on: The Jarl tells me that in order to become Thane I must have a permanent residence within the hold and that i can purchase a house from Anuriel I go to Anuriel Anuriel has the dialog option "I'd like to purchase a house in the city (8000 gold)" I select that option The only dialog option available is "On second thought, perhaps i'll wait a bit longer to decide" So even though i have the money, have been given permission to buy the house, and the first part of the dialog is there, i can not buy the house. I have played the game on the PS3 and had no trouble buying Honeyside, this is the first PC save where i have even attempted to purchase Honeyside Things i have tried so far: 1. Uninstalling all mods (excpet for ones that would cause me to lose a significant amount of stuff on the save) and trying to buy the house, it stays the same 2. Some console commands i found online 3. Vortex version - 1.11.7 Game - Skyrim original release (so not special edition, anniversary edition or vr) from Steam Mods - picture below Steps already taken - tried creating a new folder in (C:)programfiles(x86)>steam called "mods" and then a new folder inside called "skyrim mods". I wanted this to be my staging folder because it would be easy to find compared to hunting down the files for skyrim. I cannot recreate the error message I got. I even restarted my pc but to no avail. It's impossible to get vortex to give me the "warning, stage folder not marked correctly!" message again.

  20. I've been modding Skyrim for a good six years now and it's never been perfect, not once, and I can stomach one or two crashes a day since I'm pretty anal about saving. Sadly I've crashed 3 times today and these crashes have only been happening in combat right before I land a hit which leads to be believe something may be wrong. I honestly think it might be Vortex and how it often gets confused and asks me 'Does Mod A load after or before Mod B?' despite some of them having nothing in common. My Skyrim isn't heavily modded either. No big graphic overhauls, just immersion mods and some fun little bits and pieces. The biggest I have is Beyond Skyrim: Bruma. I do have character model touchups which are RS Children and Total Character Makeover as well. Each crash has also happened right before an attack hit. Here's what I was doing, it's quite precise...Two times while fighting wolves in Whiterun Hold (Arrow Shot at Greenspring Hollow and Axe hit near Redoran's Retreat), once while fighting a vampire Movarth's Lair (Arrow Shot) and once in Ustengrav while fighting some Draugr not long after the Bandit V Necromancers (Dawnbreaker hit). Two of these crashes involved fire and melee and two involved a simple unenchanted arrow shot.   21. I saw some talk about this back in the mid 2010's, so I figured I'd refresh the topic. This definitely needs to get made. A fire staff or walking stick that doubles as a torch. Maybe the flame goes out when you sheath the stave unless you use the walking stick animation mod. Thoughts?
  22. So I love "Lakeview Manor- as it should be" but the author has locked all comments and bug reports. I want to start this thread here to maybe help some people and get some help if I can! I have had bugs so far and I just found a fix for one of them. I haven't done any testing to see if it would work for different cases but maybe it will work for you. The bugs/glitches I've found: 1: Dropping mod added armor or weapons in the cellar then picking them up. After saving/loading OR traveling to a different cell and back, a copy of the equipment will be respawned in the position you originally placed it while the original will be in your inventory or a container that you moved it to. (also happened when a mod added weapon was placed on a weapon plaque and removed, upon reloading the cellar a copy of the weapon was sitting on the display case under the plaque.) FIXED: upon reloading the cell and seeing a copy of any item that you have previously dropped/picked up OR mounted/unmounted. follow these steps: 1: place the item in your crosshair so you can see the pick up prompt (do not interact with it as its current state is the "spawn state" and that's what we need to fix) 2: press "~" to enter the console 3: click on the duplicated item (the item reference code will now be displayed in the center of you screen and all commands will apply to that item code) 4: type "disable" and press enter (the item should disappear from your display, the reference code may not) 5: Press "~" again to exit the command console 6: save and reload. 2: In the library there is a staff on the left side of the staff enchanter table. it would appear that it is not in the way of the character passing between the main desk and the enchanting table BUT the staffs hitbox is extended way out down the length of it and is reaching to the chair positioned in front of the desk. to get to the staff enchanter I have to go around the right side of the desk. NO FIX YET: attempted to use the mod "placeable statics" to move the staff somewhere it wont be a problem but PS didn't recognize it as an editable mesh. !!!!IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER GLITCHES/BUGS OR FIXES PLEASE REPLY TO THIS THREAD!!!!
  23. So, some Thalmor soldiers spawn with weapons but no armor in their inventory. It never happens to the Thalmor that randomly spawn as patrols in the world, and it doesn't happen to named Thalmor npcs. I've only seen this happen to the Thalmor that spawn in the Ratway, the soldiers at the embassy (not the wizards though), and the ones at Northwatch. It's only Thalmor NPCs that seem to have this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a lot of experience with modding Skyrim, and I'm using Mo2. Are there any glaring issues with my load order? Everything else has been smooth so far, no crashes or missing textures or any other issues I can think of.   24. I have no clue whether this is a hardware issue, Vortex of Skyrim but if it is Vortex this is probably the best place to ask right? Detailed Description of the Problem: So I started going over my mod list recently and I have this weird problem that I have never seen before. I have all my mods installed and enabled, sorted that whole thing. All extensions have been run and are working. Along with updating the mods I also installed the new SKSE version for AE (preliminary). And now I'm having this problem where everything seems to be installed properly, and is enabled but it just doesn't take effect in game. For an example I use Arthmoor's 'Live another Life' mod, but even with it installed and enabled I get the default Helgen start. And the same goes for all my other mods, nothing seems to 'activate' (for the lack of a better term). I also checked the load order in the Bethesda mods section in the main menu and none of the mods are enabled. So i tried enabling them there to see what would happen and the game just crashed to desktop. And for each time I tried to activate the mods it seemed to be different plugins each time that caused it to crash. The first time it was "Lore weapon expansion - Goldbrand", followed by: "YOT - SWIFT". So I tried to only enable my absolute core plugins (Alternate start, LotD, Unofficial patch, that kind of thing) and enabling them worked fine. But when I tried to start a new character it just loaded endlessly. I just left it and it went uninterrupted for a solid hour with no change. I tried verifying the game files which didn't do anything, so I tried to reinstall the game which also did nothing. So I started to google on the issue and found nothing that actually fit the problem I was having. So I decided to write this post to see if anyone has encountered this before or has any idea what could be causing this (because I am completely stumped). I did ask this question (albeit in a bit more of a TLDR format) in Heavy Burns' discord but all I got out of that was that I should use MO2 instead. I have been thinking of completely removing Vortex, all mods and Skyrim completely and do a fresh install on another drive, but I have hesitated a bit with that since just writing down the mods would take several hours, not to mention actually downloading them. One thing I did note is that after I updated Skyrim to version '1.6.342.0.8' all my previous saves got corrupted. Going as far back as 2016 to a playthrough that didn't have anything installed other than the base game and the DLCs. But that was the only weird or unusual thing that I noticed really, but any help, suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. TLDR: Everything seems to be installed properly and seems to be working in Vortex (Is enabled as mods and plugins) but the mods does not take effect in game and everything seems to be running vanilla with a few random tweaks here or there that has nothing to do with the mods. I have not found anything on Google and I'm completely stumped so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
