  1. So I was going to solstheim to play the dragonborn dlc, but when I arrived in raven rock the screen got dark af. I thought it was because of a cutscene glitch, so I instaled a mod called Walk to solstheim to fix that, it worked until the mission where you get a black book inside raven rock mines, when I got out of the cave, the mfking dark screen returned and i dont know what to do anymore. Oh just another thing: when I enter a house or any other building the screen gets back to normal, in Skyrim too, but the screen still gets dark in all of solstheim If i writed something wrong, sorry, not a native speaker
  2. I have a problem where the cutscene for the first official entry to Raven Rock does not play out properly. I can hear the captain talking, but the ship does not sail into the harbor, instead I'm just floating over the ocean. His speech ends and I wind up stuck. I enable player controls with the console and find only two fish barrels are floating in the air next to me. I find Adril waiting on the docks to speak to the captain who is obviously never going to show up. Ship, crew and captain are utterly missing. I can approach Adril but his force greet script isn't functioning, so he just stays put. After I talk to him, he will stay on the docks infinitely. I'm not Dragonborn yet, so I'm just over in Soltheim for other explorations. I doubt it would make much of a difference; the cutscene is utterly busted. If I travel to Raven Rock through a cheat-y house mod, then the ship and captain are present, but Adril is still stuck. I disabled all my mods, tried multiple fresh play-throughs and cannot find a hint of what is causing this problem. From one of the Skyrim wikis I found a post from 2013 which seems to be in the same trouble. The solutions offered were to use console commands to skip the entry, but that's not what I want. I even extracted all the Dragonborn scripts from the Dragonborn BSA file and manually put them into the proper folders. No dice. Any help or ideas would be very welcome. Edit: Thought I should add that I can still complete all the "for the good of Raven Rock" quests just fine. Like reopening the mine, clearing out Fort Frostmoth, taking down the assassins...
  3. SSSSSPPPPPPOOOOOIIIIILLLLLLEEEEEERRRRRR ALERT Do not blame me if you didn't know about this prior to reading this post, k? K. ************************************* ************************************* With the introduction of Solstheim to Skyrim, we learn that the Thieves Guild's Delvin Mallory is a brother of Raven Rock blacksmith Glover Mallory, and that Glover used to be in the TG. Not only that, but Glover is Sapphire's dad, which she doesn't know, and that also makes fellow TG member Delvin, her uncle. I would very much like to see a mod that somehow gets this family back together again (or could alternatively destroy it for good). Not that I want Glover to leave RR, I mean, he's got a darn good thing going there, but he regrets leaving his kid, who went through H-E-double-hockey-sticks in the aftermath. Now, you CAN give Sapphire a letter to her from Glover that you find in the man's basement (without his knowledge) BUT beyond her giving you a sapphire gem, I don't believe anything comes of it and that just ain't right. I want there to be some sort of quest or something that could be initiated in a variety of ways, to try to reunite father and daughter. My initial thought is that for some reason the player can get Sapphire to travel to Solstheim with them, where they will encounter Glover and maybe it's up to the player's persuasiveness whether or not Sapphire can open herself to discovering that this is her father (and by default that makes Delvin her uncle, of course). The trigger could be as simple as giving her Glover's secret unsent letter. There could be SO much done with this. Will she reject Glover? Will he be royally pissed off that you brought his daughter to him? Will Sapphire hate Delvin for never revealing their kinship and her father's location to her? Will she hate you? Her father? How will this affect the TG? What if Sapphire wants to leave Skyrim for RR to be close to her dad? What if she wants to off him for the hell his absence put her through because she's too damaged to forgive? Or even worse..? What if you're the Guildmaster (maybe the mod wouldn't trigger until after that occurs) and this whole thing affects your standing? The possibilities are very nearly endless. It can be very emotional in many ways and it'd be even better if choices the player makes throughout all dialogues with the Mallories, unbeknownst to the player, actually affects how the mod's events will play out. There is also a younger Mallory sister, so major bonus points for creating her as part of the mod. Heck, maybe she's the one who triggers everything by tracking down Delvin, thereby accidentally discovering Sapphire because she "looks just like her mother" or something. Or she shows up in RR and approaches the player for help reuniting the father and daughter, etc. Okay, enough babbling. That's my mod request. :-) Thank you!
  4. I really can't be the only one who's noticed that there is only 1 child in the whole of Solstheim. There are 2 (3 if you technically add Tel Mithryn) whith lots of folks and only 1 child. Hell even Rieklings have no children. Come to think of it I can't see any female Rieklings either. The Netches have young so why can't eveyone else? Did the ash make everyone sterile? Can someone PLEASE add children to Solstheim. I love immersion and "reality" in Skyrim and I'm no mod creator so can one of you wonderful magic making modders get creative? Please? Thank you. .....and now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Whenever I try to reach the following cells: -Haemar's shame (HaemarsShame02) during the quest A daedra's best friend -The second floor of the Goldenglow estate (GoldenglowEstate02) whether during the Loud and clear quest or since I completed it -The temple of Miraak (DLC2TempleOfMiraakExterior01 & DLC2TempleOfMiraakExterior02 only), I didn't complete The way of the voice by the way -Hrothmund's barrow (DLC2HrothmundsBarrowExterior01) to meet Bujold there Skyrim always crashes to the desktop. Here is my load order made by LOOT: and the kind of crash log I get I would greatly appreciate any help.
  6. not sure how many of you guys are experiencing this, or if any of you even do but i guess i'll put my experience here: if you have SSE running with ostim with all the jazz, especially the latest version of oprivacy (1.4beta or something, on the day of writing) do NOT turn MORNING SEGGS on when you sleep for the first time in Solstheim, the black screen between scenes won't go away because i think ostim was running and trying to find a suitable companion for you but you are teleported in the middle of it and well, it caused quite a f*#@y wucky to my game at least. Well anyways, That's it guys, have a good one, just keeping a heads up if someone is confused why their screen was black but they can still control their character after waking up.
  7. There needs to be a Flora and architecture retexture for solstheim maybe I'm missing it but there doesn't seem to be any online. A Soul Cairn retexture is much needed as well. Anybody know of any? I know there's landscape texture for Solstheim but that's it wtf. Help modders please.
  8. Hi guys! First ever post here, so be kind. One thing that really niggles me when I want to role-play in Skyrim is that whenever I, or anybody else, sleeps on Solstheim, then randomly wake up at one of the All-Maker Stones. I was wondering if there was a mod that could stop this occurring without having to do the Cleaning quest? Cheers.
  9. Hello, I have permanent crashes in Solstheim. Round about every ten minutes. Although having uninstalled some mods already. I have already sorted the load-order with loot and cleaned the savegame with savetool.exe many times. Unfortunately it is still crashing.   10. Every time I request Gjalund Salt-Sage to take to me Solstheim,(I am just starting the dragonborn dlc) the game goes to a long loading screen which ultimately ends with the game crashing.   11. It's a pretty common opinion that Severin Manor from the Dragonborn DLC is a pretty nice house, except it's so badly lit that only Falmer could live there comfortably. There are better lighting mods for Severin Manor, but none of them have patches for/are compatible with ELFX, or other lighting overhaul mods. I'm thinking, a nice way to bypass compatibility with other mods and still light up Severin, would be torch sconces! You know, those things you sometimes find in Nord barrows or bandit towers? You can press Activate on them to add or remove the torch, and it lights up the area. I figure adding some empty sconces to the home would allow for optional extra lighting without interfering with edited lights from other mods! It seems like it'd be easy enough for someone with even a limited knowledge of the creation kit, so I hope something like this can be done!
  12. Hello, I've just started to use mods and have played well with them. but as soon as I get into sonstheim, the game keeps freezing 3~5 minutes after starting to play.   13. I have constant crashes widout errors either around Miirak's Temple or somewehere around the coastline. I've read several posts looking for a fix but the posts are 2 years old. I've tested if any of my mods are causing crashes and none of them (from what i tested) are causing it.   14. Hello again, I posted this a while ago but I didn't get any help so I figured I would post again with more information. When I exit Miraak's temple after first meeting him in Hermaeus Mora's realm, my game will CTD. I do believe the Unofficial Dragonborn Patch is causing this but I can't be sure because my game won't load if I do not have the patch active. It'll crash around the NE and E side of Miraak's temple as well. My specs are: ASUS TYTAN ROGUE G30 16GB RAM Intel i7-4770K CPU NVIDIA graphics card Mods that have the potential to cause this problem (in load order): - Unofficial Dragonborn Patch - Frostfall - Better Dynamic Snow - Static Mesh Improvement Mod (w/ DLCs) - Skyrim Immersive Creatures (w/ DLC) I have tried to run my game clean of any mods at all, but it crashes. I use BOSS and NMM Inside Miraak's temple is fine so I know it's the are around it. Apocrypha is fine. I cannot get to the Thirsk Mead Hall, the Wind Stone, or the Skaal Village. Any other information I can provide, just ask. I've used a save cleaner and TES5Edit, neither worked. I just don't want to have to redownload the game on Steam /again/. Thanks for reading.
  15. Hello, I started getting a CTD sometimes when I loot bodies, go to a merchant, or open my own cupboards at home. I hadn't installed any new mods when this started happening and I know for sure it's some sort of food. After googling, I found there was a "boar meat" bug and everyone who had this problem also had the unofficial Dragonborn patch installed. I cannot deactivate the patch, though, else my game crashes when I load the main menu. How I know it is a food is that I keep a cupboard in my home full of food stuff specifically and it will crash every time it is opened, but no other container in my home will do that. Certain bandits and merchants will also make my game crash when looting/ buying. I also had a problem northeast of Miraak's temple in Solstheim where whenever I try to get to the stone or the village there my game will crash. I fixed a Dawnstar crash by modding it and it works fine, but since I don't know what exactly is causing my Solstheim problem, I can't mod to fix it.
  16. Ok, so I have come across a fairly irritating bug. It seems that the LOD for the static objects in Solstheim don't seem to disappear properly. If I start up the game in Raven Rock, everything looks fine, then I go to Tel Mithryn and back, and now there are all of these low res, low polygon building merged with the nice buildings. If I restart the game, then its fixed, but I have to restart it every time I go back to any important place on Solstheim. This happens everywhere on the island, Raven Rock, Fort Frostmoth, Tel Mithryn, the Scaal Village. This bug is located only on Solstheim, it doesn't happen anywhere in Skyrim. As far as I can tell I don't have any mods that alter the worldspace, statics, or lod meshes of Solstheim extensively. The only mods that alter the Dragonborn dlc stuff at all seem to be the Unofficial Dragonborn Patch, and ELFX.   17. I run the morrowind immersion project. The Ck does not work on my computer so I need people to do the simple CK tasks for me that I can't do. The tasks I need done are simply adding certain NPCs to certain places. Such as putting Dremora guards in the temple, or putting telvanni guards in the telvanni settlement. I have lots of assets but no ways of putting them in game unless they're replacers. Message me for more details.   18. Hi folks ! I'm pretty new here, and first of all... I apologize for my english. I'm french, and I know some of my sentences can be, like... awkward :') So, as you can guess, I have a little request for a mod. I have done an artwork of Miraak's mask, and I wondered if it could be possible to add banners with this artwork on this. I thought they could have been located in the places dominated by Miraak at the beginning of the Dragonborn extension : Apocrypha of course, some well-chosen places in Solstheim (like his temple, the Stones, ...) and even some places in Skyrim - because after all... some of his cultists had began to piss some Dovahkiins by there, hmm ? The idea is to increase the feeling of Miraak taking over Solstheim - and also Skyrim. By "banners", I mean THIS. In the greenish colors of Apocrypha, I think it would be amazing. I make that request for someone I know... He's making awesome screenshots retracing Miraak's story, and those banners would totally fit on this. (And I'd be SO honoured to see my artwork in a mod. ;_; ) My picture is the one in the thumbnail. I can prove I've done it by myself. I have a much better version (bigger, HD resolution and transparent background), but I will not upload it here - I heard the Thieves Guild wasn't far away from here... No seriously, the file I uploaded on DeviantArt is now on Tumblr without my permission and stuff (should have put a watermark on it but seriously, watermarks are ugly), so I will only send the HD version to the one who's gonna be kind enough to do that mod for me.   20. My sincerest apologies if this has already been done or suggested. I searched around for quite a while, but found nothing to suggest that either of those are the case. After playing around with the Dragonborn DLC, (yes, I know I'm rather late on getting to it...) I couldn't help but find myself wishing there were a mod that made Bristlebacks available to you to ride. I've even thought of a lore friendly, quest included way to make this happen, if any modder were to take an interest. Due to the fact that Bristlbacks are much too small for the dragonborn to ride, I imagined it wouldn't be lore-breaking to include a quest somewhat attached to the (possible spoiler to misc quests ahead:) In any case, I assumed it might not be -too- difficult to implement, considering the bristlebacks are fully animated (unlike the many sabre cat mount mods, where the animation is all sorts of messed up) and it would be a simple matter of resizing. Then again, I have no idea what it takes to mod, so I could be completely wrong. I doubt this will get much attention, considering how late I am on getting so deeply into Skyrim, and that many modders seem to be inactive these days; but I figured I'd post this here just in case anyone finds an interest in taking this mod request on!   21. For some reason my character is immediately attacked by everyone in Raven Rock every time I show my face there. I have not attacked anyone or done anything to give myself a bounty. It wouldn't matter if I had because I am not given any option to pay a bounty if there is one. I don't know what is going on but it has left my game unplayable as I cannot get back to Skyrim. I have fast travel turned off because of Frostfall and I cannot enter the city to get back to the ship to take me back without being attacked. Any suggestions?
  22. Hello all, Im new here and I really need some help. In my latest save game file, i travelled to Solstheim, Ravenrock. On arrival, i saw two big clumps of fish+dartwings, sitting there in the water. I couldnt loot them via clicking them, pressing use (E) or anything else. However, I did try Unrelenting Force on the fish, a method used by many to clear fish from water quickly, and upon doing this I saw for about 5 seconds, THOUSANDS of fish and dartwings, FLY OUT of this cluster of stacked fish. The FPS had a considerable drop, to about 1 - 2fps while the dartwings and fish flew out in various directions, until the game finally froze after about 10 seconds. I let it sit there for about 30 minutes thinking it might load them eventually. Well, it didnt. So i reloaded and tried other stuff... Marking for deleting ( was unable to target them ) Kill (via console. Stil unable to target ) Other spells with projectiles. (no effect) Disabling addons, but not the DLC. Has anyone encountered this problem? Because of this, i am unable to progress in Solstheim.   23. As the title suggests, I am getting very strange behavior in my game as soon as I begin the quest The Fate of the Skaal. This behavior is repeatable across multiple different saves (one save with 100 plus hours and one save with a mere 2) and results in CTDs that i don't get before starting the quest. Basically what happens is once the temple of miraak quest is completed, I exit the temple with frea. When I am in the solstheim exterior immediatly outside the side door of the temple, I enter a wonderful zone of CTDs. This bermuda triangle of sorts extends roughly between the mead hall to the right, haknir's shoal to the left and a little ways across the bridge to the skaal village. If I sprint or coc to the skaal village I can make it out of the triangle before a crash. Once in the village, the quest progresses as normal. The fact that this ctd zone exists is not particularly puzzling to me, it's that the rest of solstheim will begin to produce exterior ctds, particularly around uncleansed stones. And again, these exterior ctds are not repeatable prior to begining The Fate of the Skall quest, and persist once both it and the cleasing the stones quest are completed. I know usually it is par for the course to provide my load order and papyrus log at this time, but I am waiting around at dispatch right now and don't have access to my gaming tower. When I am back from work tonight, I will post that info. For now, any ideas or similar experiences with this mysterious affliction, or some direction of what I should look for would be appreciated. If it helps in any potential diagnosis, I am using USKP and UDBP already, I have cleaned all my active mods (except those with special do not clean instructions) and I have (quite some time ago) regenerated my ini file so it is free of tweaks. My mods list does contain a few script heavy mods (IMCN, Frostfall, etc) but I haven't had any issues with scripting thus far in my newest save.

  25. I'm sure this has been brought up a billion times before, but I get an infinite loading screen when I try to travel to Solstheim. I talk to the ship captain and the loading screen kicks in. Interestingly, I never hear the coin clink that normally comes with a transaction. I think this could be significant, because when I fast travel on a carriage, the transaction often takes a moment to occur. In the meantime, sitting on the carriage is completely inert; no screen loads. I think they may be caused by a similar scripting issue, since they both feature a delayed reaction. I recall having had this issue when I went to Solstheim the first time a few months ago, and just kept trying and one day it worked by chance (transaction and all). I returned to the mainland successfully and haven't tried to visit Solstheim since. But what actually causes this to happen? I've checked my memory allocation with windows task manager and saw that the crashes occured when the game was using about 950,000 kilobytes (and I've been able to run the game smoothly at around 1,500,000 k). Also, I've tried entering "coc DLC2RavenRock01" into the console, but I get an infinite loading screen there too. I'm using Skyrim version 1.9.32. I've tried this both with and without SKSE running. What gives?
