  1. Just a short suggestion for a new category for mods: Unused/Cut Content Restoration (or something along those lines). Might be a bit niche but I'd like to see it. What do you guys think?
  2. I have a lot of plugins that I've replaced with a merged plugin, but I have to keep the original plugins installed but disabled in case I need to redo the merge, or if my merge depends on loose files from the original extractions. I also like to keep my plugins list grouped by enabled/disabled status and sorted by load order. Vortex currently supports filtering by groups that are either automatically or manually assigned, which helps, but I would like to show all but a specific few groups (like a 'merged' group), and an easy way to quickly toggle all so we could then uncheck a couple. Right now I can go through and check each group one by one until all but the ones I want to exclude are selected, but the column becomes huge to fit all the groups in the groups filter textbox/dropdown. Being able to rearrange the categories at the top so that the groups category is on the far right would be handy in this instance, since I would then be able to filter by all groups except for the ones I want to exclude and then leave the groups tab far off my window width and still get to see categories like dependencies. Ideally it should not draw all the selected groups in the groups textbox/dropdown when a certain amount of them have been selected (i.e. > 3) and instead require the user to click on it to expand it into a scrollable list of toggles. Would love if either features would be implemented as it would make managing large numbers of plugins of different groupings much easier.
  3. I want my characters hair to show but I want to equip items in all slots and have them enchanted. Haven't found anything like this yet. Currently I just use a custom circlet from Nibenean. Would love to have some way to equip different head or face tattoos as if they were helms and have them be enchantable. Or maybe some earrings that slot into the helm slot (30 for reference). Basically anything that isn't a helmet that doesn't cover my characters hair and can also be enchanted would be great. Tired of circlets.
  4. Using Vortex 1.9.7 client for Windows with an ultrawide monitor. The client seems to have some sort of pre-defined width for every column and then just lumps any remaining space into the "Mod Name" column. I have poked around the app and checked the UI section of the documentation without finding any references to altering the layout of the Mod Table. Generally I can understand the app maximizing the size of the name field ... at least until you reveal the "Archive Name" column, which is almost always longer than the Mod Name field. This makes it difficult to read and makes the table taller/longer than it needs to be due to the word-wrap on the archive name field. Potential solutions in decreasing order of desirability: User can just click-drag the column headers to change the sizes in the table User can specify a numeric value "somewhere" to adjust the sizes of the columns The "Archive Name" field specifically is tagged the same as the "Mod Name" field, such that they will both try to expand as far as they can: Whichever mod is closest to the left side of the table (i.e. "first" order-wise) will take all the room it needs to remain on one line The "second" field will then expand as far as it can, again trying to get on a single line Any remaining space would then go back to the "first" field (i.e. the current behavior) Anyway, thanks for the consideration. Keep up the good work! Hoji.
  5. I was downloading mods for a game and i had a problem where Vortex had "Invalid download links" and "Download Failed" pop ups, i had 60+ mods scheduled to be downloaded and i thought they would just go back to downloading, that was today at 3AM fast foward now (~20ish hours later), and i had that happen again after trying to download 2 mods, then i noticed they just didn't try to re-download, or show up at all, looking at the log surely enough there it was [WARN] chunk error {"id":20,"err":"Wrong user id","ended":false} possibly the same error i had 23 hours ago, because the pop ups in the Vortex app are the same, Even tho i know what mods had that error, looking at the log i also could find them right above the error message, so i thought to myself, if i can find this i could probably find the mods that had the same error occur 23 hours ago, but when i got there the oldest log i had was from 21 hours ago and it was after that error had occurred, the timestamps are from 21 to 20 hours ago, i tried to find a way of getting older logs but i couldn't, that's the second time i leave a error i disconsidered at the time unchecked until i needed it's log to troubleshoot it a while later only for it to not be there anymore, i wanted to know if you guys can add a setting to increase the amount of time a log can stay there or if i can just remove log deletion entirely, that would be very helpful
  6. Add ability to make and use _>>full party of self made pawns.
  7. So I previously posted about a list of improvements I was making as I was using Vortex and that I was going to post but then I got hit by the Flu, KCD came out and I decided to give XCOM 2 a try. But here it is... late, but it's here. 1. Tagging mods Basically let us create new tags and assign them to mods and let use filter via said tags. This would make managing mods easier because currently a mod can only have one category and being able to assign multiple mods with our own tags would mean we can basically create custom groupings with mods without influencing asset load order (a problem with some users of MO). 2. Show content icons similar to how MO did. Pretty self explanatory. In MO you could view at a quick glance if a mod contained scripts, BSAs, textures etc. This is more focused on TES/FO games. 3 Fetch mod metadata bug/improvement: happens when importing from MO, mod ID is correct but metadata such as description (viewable when doubleclicking the mod in the list) is not fetched Also an option/button to fetch metadata for file downloaded manually would be awesome (sometimes I would download a mod manually and place it in Vortex's download directory). 4. Try to convert from MO versioning of A.B.C.D to A.B.C when applicable when importing. 5. If I reinstall a mod maybe keep it's status (active/inactive)? Not too sure about this one because I have a feeling there's probably a good reason to keep in inactive. 6. Notify when attempting to download duplicate files (file with the same name exists in the DL folder) instead of creating one with a new name 7. Filter for installed downloads in the downloads tab. 8. Open in explorer button when opening the right hand details pane (double-click) of a mod 9. Selecting/copying text in installer menus/windows (sometimes they contain a list of mods and I have to check which items on that list I have installed etc.) 10. Advanced option: pick folder/mod name when installing 11. Easy way of finding out to what mod an ESP belongs to. I may be missing something here but AFAIK there's no way of telling quickly. 12. Support for icon files when picking an image/exe for an application 13. Search box in the Extensions tab 14. Load rules should be changeable/removeable from both ends. If mod A has a rule to be set before mod B then its opposite rule would be implicit on mod B, it implicitly has a rule to be loaded after A. Would be nice to be able to edit this "implicit rule" and have it affect the actual rule from mod A (would get rid of the direct cyclic dependency error between only 2 mods) 15. Export and import mod/plugin list load status. Let us make a backup of our loaded mods/plugins before we start fidling with them. Less hassle than having to switch between profiles (MO2 did this and it was very neat). Some(if not all) of these can be implemented as extensions so this thread should be a good source for feedback for said extensions going forward.
  8. I feel like the destruction magic elements need their own distinct robes, similar to how the Cassandra Frost Witch armor, but glowy amd for Fire and Storm magic too. And not just a retexture, like just a high quality flame like shape for the flame robes, or lightning patterns for the storm robes, that would be bad ass and awesome.
  9. It's very hard to check if my comment in the POST section was replied. I'm not a modder so I don't have access to the comment tracking. However when I found bugs or have a question I post in the POST section and if the mod is popular, it'll be easily buried. Or if the author was busy at the time I usually come back after a month or so, and it was very hard to find my comment. Is it possible to have a notification when my comments got a reply? Or can I track my own comments? Please apply it to comments in PICTURES section as well. :( Thanks
  10. For someone who's already played through the game it'd be pretty nice if there was a mod that enables the effect of the 3 sunglasses in the game without actually wearing them: Classic Sunglasses (detect life) Modern Sunglasses (detect machines) Sunglasses (detect loot) Maybe even make hotkeys for the effects to toggle them on or off at any time. As a New Game+ mechanic it'd be ideal but I guess the devteam wasn't thinking that far ahead.
  11. K-2SO from Rouge One. It just popped in my head and I couldn't live with myself if I didn't put it out somewhere for someone to see. I have no idea if it is possible but damn it would be cool.

    Games List

Hello I would like to know why i only can add 8 Games to my Favourites. Whats the Reason for that and will this change anytime soon? Thank you :)
  13. i need a good stealth armor equipment or something darkened armor is there any good mods that can you people suggest? something like: japanese style? asian style? good katanas ninjatos.
  14. EDIT: I GOT CONFUSED WHILE WRITING THIS... MY MAIN POINT IS MAYBE THERE'S A MOD THAT'LL TELL US WHERE THIS ITEM IS FOUND. is there a mod that do this? my Skyrim crashes when i do Alt + Tab a lot ... and its pretty hard to find where exactly a material is without going to Wiki ... or what to do exactly in a quest. maybe i just dont find it ? or there's really no mod for it ? if there's none can we suggest this to people who make mods? is it possible? most of the time i just use my phone to search on google browse through forums ... i think that's okay too.. but i want to be immersed like 5 - 10 hours immersed lol .. i have no social life XD ... mostly talking to people in discord while playing - i guess that's a social life too, right XD i also suggest atleast making the quest desciptions more accurate maybe not that accurate that'll give all the details where exactly this and that but atleast "enough" info about a quest. i know we can actually know a place or a monster following a sidequest or other quests but its just butthurt to go to a quest and then stop bcos u dont know what to do and you go to other quest and then you stop again cos again u dont know what to do and you go to other quest and so on and so on btw im new to skyrim and i have 80+ mods running (NMM) and im still figuring out how to mod, like aesthetics modding. this i am suggesting needs a lot of scripting which i am not really good at. so, if there's a mod you know please let me know. and if you know a "modder" :> u know what to do. XD modder?!! is that even a word?! im from philippines so.... have a nice day ^_^
  15. RE: Fallout 4: I think it would be nice if there was a way to PRINT all the info in the Pip Boy [Data][stats] display. Therefore I request/suggest a Fallout 4 MOD to print ALL the Pip Boy [Data][stats] display in some form or other (screenshot format, table, etc.). Personally I would like a table format. Any takers?
  16. Hello there, I hope this is the right forum to post. It would be cool if we could filter out the mods that add their items to the levellist from those who are only meant for their character and follwer. Another suggestion that comes with this one would be a Tag for armor mods that have both Male and female versions.
  17. we have hot files that are only there for a quick minute, then we have files of the month, then we have sorting by most popular of the year month week etc... but if i sort by most popular of the week, i get a lot of old mods too that i dont want to see. there is no option to sort it all out and see the most popular new mods added in during that time frame. it makes it impossible to weed through all the well established mods that we all already have and dont need to see to find newer mods that people are enjoying. basically, we need better sorting options on this site
  18. Hello! I would like to ask, if there is a mod that allows you make a new character, when your dies OR make a new character for major quests in the same save/world. For example, Dragonborn couldn't be an Archmage, Leader of Companions, Leader of Thieves Guild, Nightingale, Hircine's champion etc. at the same time as it is not canon for the Dragonborn and it doesn't make sense. It would be more interesting, if you could make a character for a certain major quest and play it. And for my players like me, that can't stand long at one gameplaying as a certain class, I suddenly want to play as a mage based character, rather than thief one, and switching from thief to mage in a single character is pretty stupid isn't it? And this is, where this mod takes the place at. You know, playing a berserker nord for a companion quest line gets boring if you smash your axe everytime you enter a dungeon, so I would change to other character via MCM or something to Archmage, a mage based character altmer casting destruction spells and so. If there is no mod like this and is very difficult to make, I hope there is a mod that when you die, you have to make a new character starting from level 1, but you have to find first character that died, and absorb dragonborn's soul to become one + looting it and quests that have been already done are done. I know there is a mod named "Dead is dead", but I don't want to start same quests from scratch and another mod "Alternate Actors", that is the closest to this suggestion, but I have some issues with it.
  19. I know that it is nearly impossible to code Poker into Fallout New Vegas, but what about video poker? That's basically a slot machine with a modicum of skill. Would that be at all possible?
  20. Simple enough request - ability to use the "edit" command on the main game entry on the dashboard to allow an override such as the titular xxSE script loader. It's not essential, but would be an extra layer of convenience to be able to load my game from within my mods/plugins/whatever tab without having to switch up to the dashboard every time while testing mods for crashes. Enjoying the project with my modding still, keep up the great work!
  21. Could masters of, and if possible slaves to a mod please be listed on the plugin tab double-click menu? I've been working on converting a lot of mods to .esl format, and have now run into "master: UNKNOWN" several times in the CC. Since I usually only run Vortex in the background, that'd be a really useful tool.
  22. My idea is pretty simple but I sadly can't get a good grasp of the GECK to do it myself. Essentially there's the glitch (feature?) That Lucy Abernathy will stop buying melons from you after you do the initial quest to obtain Abernathy farm as a settlement. I've tried to fix it and the current mods on the nexus have had mixed results for me. So why not just make an NPC, terminal, or some other method which does nothing but buy a crop for 3 caps each 5 if you pass a charisma check if it makes sense to do so. TL;DR make something buy crops for cheap that isn't a vendor so you wouldn't even have to care about the Abernathy stuff. That being said, I'd also take the suggestion of how to make it too. I just haven't found a good tutorial for this. Any way someone could help would be appreciated. :)
  23. Hello, Is there a way to apply filters (of tags) on the mods seen on the front page, such as in the "New today" section, like when searching? I mostly ask so I can filter out translation mods. It seems that only blocking the authors themselves works.
  24. So, after some thought; "Top" and "Trending" mods widgets would be useful and definitely help to reflect the site. A "Categories" widget wouldn't need to list mods within it, but being able to quickly link to a particular section of the mod directory would be really useful.
  25. Whelp, I just spent 40 minutes typing a well thought out, documented, supported suggestion, then accidentally hit the back button on my mouse and lost the whole *'ing post. Idea - be downloading fallout/skyrim/whatever - whilst downloading, go on nexus mods and browse - find mod that you like - don't want to download right now because still downloading fallout/skyrim/whatever - click download later button on a mods file link - it adds the download link to a temporary pick list saved as a cookie - come back to the site in a hours/days/weeks time and retrieve the list - download mods without having to find them all again. would save time/effort for the user, could also save on server resources in some situations as users would only be loading the list rather than having to reload each mod's page individually when they come back to retrieve the mods. saving the list as a cookie rather than in a database would avoid taking up storage space on the servers. could provided integration with nmm, allowing the entire lot to be added to the download manager at once (premium servers only?) perhaps future support for LOOT to be able to view the list and do it's thing before downloading? Discuss.
