  1. Hi everyone, I've gone after the GECK once again, and after making a few overpowered weapons, I've decided to try something different. I am trying to mimic the Heavy class from TF2, and apart from the weapons, I want to make the characters playable. This is a personal mod I want to make for myself to kill some time. The player would pick a class trait at the beginning of the game, and the trait would set the special stats, the abilities, add some items, and on you go. Now, to go that one extra mile I am wondering how can I make a taunt button to play a random speech clip from a list. Also, these would randomly play every 4-7 consecutive kills (I would have to somehow count kills, and then trigger the function from above). Maybe even somehow count a number of kills with a specific weapon? I have next to no experience with scripting, but I am willing to learn! Thanks in advance!

How do I systematically and automatically convert phong exponent and specularity into a GGX roughness value and intensity in a non-light conserving way that accurately lines up with the original shader? I've been looking for a mathematical function I can do with shader nodes, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I want a mod that adds the pyro weapons in FNV, Quite simple, but i dont think it wouold be easy, idk i dont make mods FlameThrower: same stats as regular flamer Backburner: Same stats as cleansing flame and same flame Degreaser: same stats as Incinerator Dragon Fury: same stats as Heavy incinerator Add some variants of the different flare guns and make them craftable or findeable Sorry my english is trash
  4. the pistol from team fortress 2 is my favorite weapon in any game ever, taking out targets and sentries at a distance, the pistol is a really skill based weapon, and i would like that weapon in new vegas. but maybe make it look less cartoony so it fits with the fallout style better. it would have identical stats to the 9mm pistol.
  5. So, I've been thinking over the past few days about how incredibly awesome it would be to have the TF2 mercenaries as followers in Skyrim. I know this is an incredibly niche, immersion-breaking, and frankly sort of stupid suggestion, but I felt it was worth a shot, no? Not that I expect any kind of modding to be easy, but, just in case I end up having an assload of free time- On a scale of 1-10, about how difficult would it be to essentially rip the merc models and voicelines straight out of TF2 and slap them into Skyrim? I've seen it done before as a comedic mudcrab replacer, so I know it's possible. Although that isn't really the question, of course. Anyway, thanks in advance.
  6. Hey everyone, I'm sure you're all tired of threads with newbs asking for good pc ideas, but I'm getting ready for college and I want to make sure I get it right this time and pick the right one. Last computer I bought was an e545 for $350 in 2013 (which was low specs even for the time, but not knowing enough about computers to realize). I'm looking for a nice laptop (need the portability for classes) that can handle running FNV and Skyrim (TF2 also) on ultra with a ton of intensive/overhaul mods, gbs of mods (modhell) at 60+ fps. I would also like to run the new DOOM on it, but I get that is an extreme workload to put on a laptop. Since my first buy, I'm working now and have $1000 for it, but would go up to $1200. I saw a friend of mine running new vegas on an hp spectre x360 (mostly default, upgraded gfx) and it ran like water so I'm considering it. I'm unsure of what other options I have though, if anyone here can recommend something else, I'd love to hear it.
  7. My request is simple: an gun mod that puts the ambassador from TF2 into new vegas, complete with a gold modification, and chrome finish modification. The ambassadors stats, re-tweaked for fallout NV: Damage is limb based, doing medium to minor damage to targets when hitting their torso, legs, or arms If the head is hit 2 times the target, regardless of current HP will die. The Ambassador tweaks: 2 ammo per clip before needing to reload [nerf] body and arm and leg shots will never one shot a target outright, especially at full health [nerf] 2 successive head shots on the same target will instakill the target [bUFF] has no spread, or sway, making lining up a shot all the more important so you can't just spray and pray your 2 shots [tweak; more accurate shots mean more attention and care given] reloads as if having a speed loader [no change] starts off with rust added. Modifications in attachments [Above] chrome finish modification [Above] Golden modification, extra shiny; can have an optional laser sight attached.
  8. (Edit note: I should've added the [Mod Request] bracket for the title but I was wanting to put this in as soon as I could that I ended up forgetting... If it's possible, I would like to edit the title of this topic to add it. If not, then apologies.) I don't think it's been requested before, but I would love for there to be a TF2 costume mod for the game. My suggestions for costume class that I think fits better for the main 3 (4 counting Vergil) would be: Dante as the Soldier - For one obvious thing, it's because Dante wields a rocket launcher of his own, as well as even doing a rocket jump. But for another, I think Dante has a rather comparably boisterous personality to the Soldier that I thought would make for a great fit. Could also have Soldier's helmet as the Faust hat. Nero as the Scout - With both being the youngest of the main cast, and having a juvenile personality, and a tenancy to be quick and dangerous, of course I'd think they would fit well. V as the Medic/Engineer - Just thought it'd make an interesting fit. On the Medic side, V does revive his fallen companions, and could be kind of a support character for a co-op mission. On the Engie side, there's the obvious thing with V summoning and commanding his companions in doing battle for him while getting himself the chance to finish his enemies off. Vergil as the Spy - Calm, suave, deadly, prone to be as juvenile as the cast, of course it's the perfect fit! There's also another fact that they both have sons that they'd have some complicated relationships with.
  9. I think it would be pretty cool if somebody added TF2 weapons to FO3. I know some of them are hard to implement but they don't necessarily break the lore nor do all of them have to be added, I just think it would be nice and even a bit funny having TF2 arsenal in FO3 (maybe even in leveled lists if somebody takes this seriously).
