Hi all, i beg up your pardon, i don't know if this is the right section, but would you be so kind to explain me how to update automatically installed mods on vortex, if possible, please? Thanks in advance!

These mods still need to be updated. I just want to raise awareness. I attempted to do it myself, but really had difficulty. Simply Knock Upscaler

Anyone that plays Palworld on the Steam client notice how the mods no longer work? Or how after they did that recent BUG FIX patch regarding the Arena now the game does not open at all and crashes back to client? Well at least to me it does that from what I heard experience varies for others.

Hi All, Just wondering if someone who's familiar with the PoE1 modding environment can confirm if it's like the old IE games (BG 1 & 2, PsT, IWD 1) and doing any patch updates after mod install risks breaking or corrupting mod changes or data? Or if it will is there a way to identify which mods are at risk of being affected? I'm hoping it's a cleaner system for modding so you can patch safely over the mods? I saw there was a new (alpha) patch out, and although I have played PoE1 since 2017 it's only recently I returned to it (after a break of 4+ years) and started using mods. Many TIA.

I want to install Creation Kit for Fallout 4 and Steam is the only way I can since no one posted it to Nexus or elsewhere like they do for past Bethesda games. Problem is my game doesn't have the next gen update installed so Steam will probably try to install an updated Creation Kit if it can even install it with my app manifest file set to read only for FO4. I see that the Downgrader mod for this update has settings regarding the CK & no one has been able to answer me on the mod page or Reddit so I'm asking here: Do I need the Downgrader to make CK work with Fallout 4 even if the game is not on the next gen update? If yes, can I run the Downgrader WITHOUT it touching my game since it's not even updated?

I am in the middle of a pretty stable game, and I don't want this next gen update thing to screw up my game if mods are suddenly not compatible. In Steam, the game is set to auto-update and I can't seem to figure out how to turn that off. Any advice? Or is this a non-issue?

Anyone else getting a constant loop install/fix for .net 6 from update? Can't seem to go further even after PC restart. Windows 10

I can not figure out which mod is causing me to CTD in the main menu. Before I can even select new game also bonus if you can help streamline this load order. if you need any more information ask i spent days on this uninstalling reinstalling skyrim and different mods. Hey, I was wondering if there are any fixes to the Plus UI, Norbyte's Script Extender, Transmog Enhanced and Appearance Edit that I am just not seeing. I know these are developed independently so time is a factor. Does anyone have any workable alternatives the aforementioned mods?

It's been literally years since the last time I made an update on F4SE, and so I forgot a lot about how to manage this, so sorry in advance if this is a question with an annoyingly obvious answer. I start Fallout 4 Script Extender to play the game, but instead I get a message that says as follows: "You are using a newer version of Fallout than this version of F4SE supports. My Steam tells me i need to download an update today... No update news provided no patch notes no nothing... so do i download it? currently running 1.10.40

I had to update my game from 1.10.26 to 1.10.50 (Forgot I had the updates set to manual on steam lol.) I've updated the mods that required updating, including F4SE. Now when I go to open the game using F4SE it will not boot for me. I've tried with and without mods active and still crashed. I can run the game through steam, but that's about it. How do I go about fixing this? Help plz, thank you.

I can't play fallout 4 anymore for some reason. I try to start the game through both vanilla launcher and the up to date script extender and both cause it to crash to desktop after going to a black screen with the blue loading circle for a mouse pointer. My game has only a few mods and that shouldn't clash. I have tried verifying my game cache and it does nothing. This all started after the creation club update and I have been trying ever since then to find a solution. I would appreciate any help. Thank you!!!

Simply put, since the creation club update to Skyrim (or installing the alpha build of the Script Extender) followers won't enter buildings. I've been running AFT without problems from the time it came out for Special Edition, and keeping updated, so it isn't that. This bug is particularly annoying in that it makes it impossible to choose the merciful option in solving the quest The Blessings Of Nature. You can guess why, I am certain; Without Maurice, the option simply doesn't come up.

I decided to load up the new version despite the dialogue I wanted to put in is not ready yet, because it fixes a lot of problems and added some nice functionalities. This version was tested on three different machines. One without other mods installed, one weak with a lot of mods installed and one weak laptop with some new land installed. On a weak machine with tons of mods some scripts refused to run. On the other pcs all runs fine. No crashes on all three machines. Mod is cleaned. Despite that I'm not able to do the testing alone, so please do report bugs. Greerings, Tasheni

Am I able to downgrade mods? A mod I was going to get had an update that required DLC that I don't have. If I had a previous version, it would work. (Game shuts down before menu.)

hi i've run to crash ever since my fallout got updated to 1.9.4 first ofc it might be because f4se not compatible so i wait till now now i've updated f4se, enb, shadowboost, and the unofficial patch, looksmenu & LMCC which were compatible for 1.9.4 but still everytime i launch with f4se it will be crashed before i enter the game i've tried run without mod f4se still crashed i've tried normal launch, i can enter the game but every save count as corrupted so here's my modlist maybe some of you guys can help me find the problem it run just fine on january so i dont think the total mod limit was changed or the new patch changed total mod limit for pc user as well ? pls help tq ^^

Okay whilst this sounds like a some-what boring mod request, many Skyrim players as well as myself need someone who can fix a huge (but simple) bug the USSEP does not want to fix. (Apparently because it may be caused from a modded game makes it okay to dismiss such a common bug). Let's be real: More people play Skyrim with mods than don't. Which is why it's unacceptable to deny giving this fix a shot. The Message to Whiterun glitch I'm talking about can be found on forum to forum across the internet, and is a game breaker. It's the last objective known as: Report to Legate Quentin Cipius. Look it up if you don't believe how many people have experienced this bug and from how long ago its been around. And as soon as you get it in most cases it is un-fixable, making the civil war quest line impossible to progress. When trying to speak with the Legate, he only returns with default guard dialogue, instead of giving you orders to continue to battle and beginning the new quest Battle for Whiterun. There are a number of potential fixes that have worked for some including whiping the bounty, killing Legate Cipius and reviving him (or downing him and talking to him as he gets up) or even leaving the area and waiting then returning. But for most of us these are to no avail. The code to fix this may be as simple as something like forcing the game to check your objective status ( I'm no modder or very good programmer so this probably isn't helpful at all) But if this has sparked a lightbulb for anyone I urge you to give hope to the lost causes who only wished to continue on their Imperial journey through Skyrim. Dear staff, Today when I opened my NMM again a prompt message appeared asking me if I want to (YES) re-install all my mods, or (NO) deactivate all of them, or (CANCEL) do nothing in order to manually reverting back to older version. It's funny that I hadn't installed or agreed to install any of NMM's new version (a setup process should have happened am I right?) and according to what I can remember, I can say I had had the latest version 0.63.13. Does NMM auto-update itself? This confuses and even worries me because I am really scared that NMM just auto-updated itself without even showing up a setup menu. I had a bad experience with NMM at its pre 0.63 version when it messed up all my hundreds of mods with a lot of merged plugins, manual tweaking, etc. I had to abandon Fallout 4 from then becasue I couldn't bear the pain of starting again. Now when I am back to the scene, after installing more than 100 mods that scary message showed up again. Thanks god I just have been in the process or downloading the mods and I just installed some of them without doing anything serious. So back to the prompt message, I just hit "YES" and saw NMM reinstall all my mods. It's still safe afterwards, but pointless as I don't understand what was going on. I do know that the fault was mine in the past for not reading well enough but at least I got to choose to install its new version back then. In case if the new NMM has the feature to auto-update itself, do I have an option to prevent it from doing so? I was curious whether or not others were having this issue. My Fallout 3 GOTY has been working flawlessly for the past few months and this has been a right kick in the ass! My spec: i7-7600K @ 4.2Ghz GTX 1080 32GB RAM @ 3200Mhz 500GB SSD (Fallout 3 is on SSD) 6TB HDD Windows 10 I've tried all different comparability modes but to no avail! I need a saint to help me resolve this issue as I have ran out of possible ideas of what to do. My last resort would be to uninstall and reinstall everything. I'm using: FOMM Nexus Mod Manager FOSE Disabled GFWL Validated Invalidation thingy Large Address Aware (4GB) Thanks for reading! Not a great solution because now this will affect newer games but it'll do for now. Microsoft need to fix this but most likely will not because they suck. So Skyrim Remastered is coming out in about a month, which will be running on a new version of the Creation Engine. DX11 in all likelihood, too. Bethesda has promised us that all our (non-SKSE) mods will work... but you know, Bethesda. Concerning SKSE, the Silverlock guys are going have to work their magic and make a new script extender (SRSE?) for us all, which won't necessarily work with SKSE-based mods. Mods that use SKSE today are probably going to have to undergo a lot of work in order to get them working on the Remastered edition, and there's no guarantee that non-SKSE mods will work correctly either. A lot of people who still play Skyrim might never even try modding Remastered, but certainly we can expect plenty people will. The Skyrim Nexus is very well organized and easy to use, but if we (modders) try to support Remastered edition mods on the same Nexus, I imagine things will get very messy very quickly, and modding Skyrim will become a lot harder, trying to keep track of which mods work on which versions of Skyrim. People who don't want to mod the Remastered Edition and would like to stick with the original game would also have to deal with the mess. Giving the Remasted edition it's own Nexus would solve that problem as well. There was a somewhat similar circumstance with Oblivion and it's GotY Edition, but that was not as big a change as this is now, and Oblivion's Nexus is much smaller than Skyrim's. While this decision would benefit from hindsight, it should also be made well before Skyrim Remasted Edition comes out. TD;DR: I think it would be best for Skyrim Remastered to get it's own Nexus. ...but that's just my thoughts. I haven't heard anything else about this yet, (the only thing i saw was people asking if mods would work - we know now that many won't and that others might) so I thought it would be a good idea to discuss it, at least a bit, beforehand. If I am under/mis-informed, let me know! What do you think?

Hello everyone, I'm kind of new to modding, I've only modded Skyrim before but I did manage to use quite a lot of mods, even more complicated ones like PerMa. So I just recently bought Fallout 4 and started to mod it, but I can't make the textures mods work. I've edited the Fallout4Prefs and Custom files with the correct lines and tried a bunch of mods but couldn't make them work; PipBoy Shadows, DEF_UI and the Looks Menu did work, but not the textures (like Vivid Fallout, Grafix, Proto Vault Suit). I've tried a lot of things but nothing seems to work, so I uninstalled everything, did a clean Fallout install and now I'm only trying to see if I can make the Proto Vault Suit work since I can tell right away if it works or not since I'm in the beginning of the game. The only way I managed to make it work was to place the texture file in its correct directory within the Data folder (Data/Textures/Clothes/VaultSuit). Why can't I make it work installing the mod with NMM, what am I doing wrong? I suspect its something pretty simple but I can't figure it out! *BTW: Fallout 4 and NMM are both installed on the same SSD different from my C drive, and I'm currently running the latest version of Fallout available through Steam I'd really appreciate all the help I can get. I just reinstalled Skyrim into a different Directory, rescanned with NMM and everything. When i reinstalled all of my mods and started the game, the only mods that were active in the MCM were SkyUI and Skyrim Immersive creatures.
