Okay so this is about when you go into the Autonomous Staryard in the Volii system. When you walk in with Andreja as your companion she says, "If Vasco were to be upgraded, this would be the place." Sadly, that's all there is to it. Completing the dungeon with Vasco as your companion does nothing extra. I have searched high and low in this place and posted reddit threads and everyone seems to agree there is something missing from this dungeon. You get literally nothing for completing and there is something of a boss battle at the end and everything. We at the very least should have gotten that crazy mining drill as a buildable weapon in ship editor. Or had the ability to make a ship as we progressed through. Outfitting it with certain things based on skill and hacking checks along the way as to scale the end product with your character. (Just my own personal idea I think would have been cool. I'm aware something like that isn't going to be found here lol..) It could just be another missed mark on Bethesda's part along with a throwaway dialog line. BUT maybe it's not! Maybe they intended to do more here, and it was just never finished? I myself lack the skill, but if someone out there wants to check it out and see if there is anything wrote into the game that went unused for this location that would be awesome.

Currently, there is a bug in the game that causes Vasco to get stuck in your ship hall ways, or spawn outside on top of your ship. Especially a problem with larger, multi-leveled ship interiors. I did a few tests and it seems like the source of this problem is that other than the Constellation Frontier (the starting ship in the main story), the ship interior spawn markers for Vasco in every other ship is bugged and is never used. When you land on a planet, Vasco is set to spawn in front of the landing bay, in front of the stairs or the ramp. When you are in your ship, Vasco is supposed to spawn besides the landing bay hatch or door inside the ship. But this is currently bugged, and the exterior spawn point coordinates carries over and glitches Vasco upwards through the ship in the same horizontal coordinates he was supposed to be on the ground. Only ship that has a correct interior spawn for Vasco is the Frontier. Only way to prevent Vasco from blocking critical paths (to the cockpit for example) is moving the landing bay on your ship to a place where the ground spawn location does not cross upwards into any important HABs, which can often mess with your whole ship design. Any help regarding fixing this will be much appreciated. Bethesda needs to fix this.

can we PLEASE get a mod that lets us tell Vasco to stay at the fricking ship during that first mission. It maybe just me but it kills my immersion to be trying to sneak up on a bad guy and that stupid robot is CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK every time it moves. or what ever sound you associate with his steps, if I am the only one that wants this I am willing to wait for it because GOD I hate that robot. Wouldn't mind if you made it so we could make him go mining or gathering for materials during that mission.

Is it possible to change Vasco's model to the one Kaiser uses?

After the Todd Howard said in the Starfield Direct told us that Vasco would say the player's name, I was disappointed to find out this was still limited to a pre-determined list of names, similar to Codsworth in Fallout 4. Text To Speech capability has existed since the 1970s, so it doesn't require advanced Artificial Intelligence here. I can think of two ways to handle this: 1. Add a text to speech algorithm for the player's name, either directly (which might require some adjustment to spelling to get the pronunciation right for some names) or from an ini file which would use IPA symbols (and maybe also allow things like Japanese katakana, Korean hangul, etc.) to tell Vasco how to pronounce the player's name. This doesn't have to perfectly match up with Vasco's other dialogue, in case Vasco's VA has refused permissions for asset re-use for this sort of project. I wouldn't expect him to pronounce punctuation, dingbats, or "private use" characters if you figure out a way to enter those, but letters (including with diacritical marks) should produce a name he can attempt to pronounce. 2. Allow the player to provide their own audio file for Vasco to play back as the player's name - this could simply be the player saying the name, but there would also be the option of using a non-human voice, such as recording a pet cat, dog, bird, etc. making noise, and using that as the player's name that Vasco says.
