Hello guys, I'm starting in voice acting so I thought that starting here with some collaboration would be a good way to begin. I already sing sort of professionally and I've been recommended to do voice acting as apparently my voice is pretty flexible. I am originally French but I have a very good accent in English (still I can do a strong french accent if you'd like ) I also speak Korean and Chinese as long as I have a script I can manage. I already have some material at home to record as I already sing If you're interested hit me up. I have a mezzo voice , I can do pretty soft voice friendly, narration, or sexy deep, and psychopathic. let me know even if it's not in these category I might be able to do it. We are primarily looking for VAs with natural European or Australian accents, though anyone else is still encouraged to apply. In this thread I have included a list of requirements for each individual character, and procedures for auditioning in general. If you plan on auditioning, please follow both the requirements for your specific character, and the general procedures exactly, as incorrect auditions will be discarded. This is mostly because we have a limited amount of time, and to ensure that only those who are reliable and capable of following instructions are considered. Since our story is unique, we won’t run into too many issues with that anyway. But the majority of spoilers that revolve around Tolkien’s Shire (like Sharkey’s identity) will not be referenced. This is to ensure we preserve the books/movies for Skyrim players who are not yet lotr fans. Q. As a VA, will there be a lot of lines I have to act out? Depends. The protagonists have quite a bit, antagonist next, and generics have the least. Q. Will I be getting paid if I lend my services as a VA? No. I can, however, guarantee that you will receive 100% of the profit that I make off the shire mod. But math jokes suck, so in other words: This project is non-profit, and will not be able to pay the talented VAs that lend their service. Q. Are you in need of a dialogue writer? Hello guys, and before i start on anything, i'd like to thank you for reading this article. I'm CyanDye, the director, writer and i could go on with the titles, shortly, i'm the guy who created this machinima, except the voiceacting. (To be honest, i actually did some voiceacting there), and you can take this as an audition, looking for enthusiaistic voiceactors who will hopefully help the project to get an english dub! Overview: "Hollow Days" is a czechoslovakian Skyrim machinima series, bringing a fictional, adult and grim story set in the well known world of The Elder Scrolls. A private reflection, a journey, not of an individual, but of us as humanity, and the world itself. I plan to create something around ten episodes of more or less continuous, deep story, full of subtle hints provoking thought and revealing plot, all fully voiceacted and executed in the best audio and video quality available... Each episode, the atmosphere gets more grim, colours eventually bleak out, leaving the last episodes to be completely black and white. The idea is not to create something new, revolutionary, or a viral flick that sacrifices integrity to draw in masses. Indeed, i'd be more than glad if it actually appealed to a wider audience, but i'm not going to sacrifice any of the nuance to do so. With my previous experience, i know this is not the way i want to go. I strive to create something with a value, something that holds the everspeaking idea, a reminder of our lives. My request: I'd love to see this project voiceovered into English. I think it's something worth showing to the international audience, but that's just my opinion. There's a chance it won't attract any voiceactors or audience here, and that's okay. But it's worth my time and the try. All of the characters can be seen in the first episode. I'm thinkning about getting started in voice acting, and figured here might be a good place to get helpful advice, recommendations, and/or experience, if anyone needs a voice for a mod or anything they're working on (My voices would be PERFECT for FNV, F4 or Skyrim related works) If anyone has any recommendations for getting started, especially relating to pieces of equipment that are worth the investment, that would be super appreciated. And if anyone is looking for a voice for a mod, or knows of anyone, I'm from Vegas originally, and if anyone's been there long enough you'll get a pretty good idea of how we talk. Typically fast, western accent, weird slang(we're quite original). I can do a good bit of voices, if anyone's actually interested enough I could provide an informal list. I'd love to have a conversation with anyone whose acted or lent their voice to a project before, but also any words of wisdom, direction pointing, or any type of help would be super appreciated.
