Hi I've just built a pc and am new to a lot of this. My problem is I've had skyrim modded and working a few times but after a day or 2 I get a message in vortex that it can no longer find my skyrim se. If I goto the folders everything is there but if I double click on the skse launcher I get error code 2. My skyrim special edition ae has just disappeared from my vortex dashboard and I can't even launch it from steam anymore. I am a premium paying customer and I love skyrim so really want to stay on board and get this fixed. Please help.

When trying to change the load order of some of my mods via the dependencies section (creating a new rule?) I get this message, "Doesn't match the file name" under the Name matching section. The folders related are named as such: Archived zip: "[CP] OhoDavi's StardewValley Anime Mods SVE-1.0.0" Staging folder: "[CP] OhoDavi's StardewValley Anime Mods SVE-1.0.0" / "[CP] OhoDavi's StardewValley Anime Mods SVE" Games mod folder: "[CP] OhoDavi's StardewValley Anime Mods SVE" Name of the mod within the mods manifest: "[CP] OhoDavi's StardewValley Anime Mods SVE" Everything is named exactly as it should, so I don't see what files don't match. The game even loads fine. But the load order is the problem. Because it is not recognizing the mod name properly, the deployment order doesn't change even if I set a rule in the dependency to "Must deploy after". After doing some investigating it only does this for mods I have modified, or made from scratch for personal use, and have the "source: user generated". I am currently trying to install a New Vegas Tick Fix for Fallout New Vegas using Vortex 1.9.12. Whenever I attempt to install the mods through the manager, I get thrown this error message: "Windows prevented Vortex from loading files necessary to complete the installation. This is often caused if you Vortex manually instead of running the installer or because your windows setup or third party software modified access permissions for these files. Please install Vortex or unblock all .dll and .exe files manually. Name: Error File name: 'System.Windows.Forms, Version=6.0.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' at ModInstallerIPC.Program.Main(String[] args)" I have tried installing the .NET 6.0 on both console and desktop, verified that it is running correctly, and reinstalling them entirely. I have also attempted to run the following: icacls.exe "c:\Program Files\dotnet" /grant "*S-1-15-2-1:(oi)(ci)(rx)" icacls.exe "c:\Program Files\dotnet" /grant "*S-1-15-2-2:(oi)(ci)(rx)" I'm at a loss for what to do. Any help?

So, im pretty new to modding and pcs in general. So, Ive installed SKSE64, and it works fine, I can launch the game with it. Then, when I start it via Vortex, it gives me an error message (screenshot below). Im completely clueless on how to fix it, and im completely lost

Haven't used Vortex since at least the start of 2022, I didn't have wifi so I had no way to use it and the file was completely missing on my pc. No idea what ever happened to it, but I am now trying to reinstall Vortex. I keep getting the error "Error opening file for writing: F:\Vortex\Uninstall Vortex.exe" If I click retry the error just pops back up, if I click abort the installation pauses and I have to click the X button, if I click ignore I get a "AccessControl error: Invalid filesystem path missing" I don't even have a drive in my computer called "F" so I have no idea where it's trying to install Vortex. I already have administrator permissions and I even followed a youtube tutorial on making sure everyone has control over the Vortex app. After I close out of Vortex once the install fails I get the error "The item 'Vortex.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?' Any ideas on what to do to fix this? My antivirus is already turned off so I don't understand what's causing this, is it possible to change the location of where my Vortex installs? I already moved the installation software itself to a folder where I'd like to install Vortex. Now what do I do? [Vortex version 1.6.14]

A complete fix to the issue of gamebryo-plugin-managment failing/and or not installing Delete steam!!! Delete the game!!! I have 76 mods installed and working but I can no longer install any other mods to Skyrim SE. This started to occur after the new update. I read in another forum that it has to do with anti-virus software but cannot figure anything out. Can someone please help me fix this issue? For some resume the vortex clint is starting multiple instances of vortex.exe. I have seen up to nine in the task manager. When I open the client it will say that there are multiple versions of vortex.exe open and well tell me to quit out of the one window I am looking at, but win I do it does not close the other instances of vortex.exe. These other instances can not be closed, not even with the task manager. And if I open a new instance of vortex, even if it is the only window, it will still give the the warning about the multiple instances of vortex and prompt me to close the only one I can. I do not know how to fix this and I can not manage my mods while this is happening. Can I get some help please?
