  1. I'm trying to fix a mesh for a mod that I downloaded. I'm a beginner at this. The mod adds a wall, that functions like a divider. I would ask the mod author but they're no longer active. Also, I want to get a better understanding on how these mods are made. Any ways, this is what I noticed: The A frame posters(ones you need to attach a wire to power up), look to attach fine to the wall.Problem comes with attaching the paintings.Those sink into the wall, underneath the wall texture. One side you could partially see the painting in one corner, and the other you can't see it at all, except for the outer frame of the painting. At first, I thought it might've been texture, but that wouldn't do that, I don't think. I have been dabbling with nifskope, to try and fix it. I tried looking at one of the original vault internal walls and compared it to this one, and thought it was a connect point issue. However, I'm not seeing a change. Did something wrong happen with the nif conversion or is it something else? What do you guys think the issue may be?
  2. So, for the quest Painting the Town, you can actually choose NOT to use green paint, and instead paint the wall Yellow or Blue. But even though Cans of Blood are a thing, as are Red ones (thanks to Far Harbour I believe), you cannot use them. So I was wondering if it would be possible for a mod to allow the use of those cans, and paint the wall Red, or if you are an edgy raider, Blood.
  3. So I am building a place in the CK and have the covenant walls around it. Problem is you can walk right through them in game. Did some searches here but could not find anything. Anybody got any idea why/how to fix or should I just find a diff wall?

I've fiddling around with the Dragon Age Toolset and I'm trying to add my own custom static model to be used as a tile (such as a floor or a wall) I've exported a mesh in the correct file format and put it in the override folder. However, it does not appear in the pallette window. I know I am definitely missing something, but there are no tutorials on adding a static model. Can somebody help? It's driving me crazy.
  5. I have made a custom painting with it's own location and icon in the workshop. However, I don't see how to make it snap to the wall. I am a total newbie when it comes to adding nodes in NifSkope. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  6. What I am looking for is a wall gap filler/spacer/trim that snaps between the first and second story walls. IE: I am building a loft style house and much of the upper floor has no floor. So I don't want to use the second story floor. There is an example included below. I would make it myself, but i wouldn't even know where to begin.
  7. Is anyone versed in 3D modelling, and is able to delete a part of a vanilla mesh (collision too)? (Pic related) --------------------------------------------------- I tried doing it some time ago, but i'm a noob when it comes to Blender and almost got a panic attack. I know there is almost no chance for anyone to respond, but hey, thought i'd ask anyway.
  8. Hi guys, I just got started making my first player home in Creation Kit to prepare for Skyrim Special Edition. Everything was going smooth, until I playtested it. Walls were popping in and out, while everything else works flawlessly. I've searched around for a fix, but were unable to find anything that worked. The player home is a copy/pasted version of Temple of Kynareth in Whiterun I've clicked "show>portals and markers" and deleted any marker that could cause the error. (I left the "COCMarkerHeading" and "NorthMarker" in) I uploaded a Youtube video to showcase the problem.   9. Hello! I'm building at Red rocket and noticed that the diner walls works perfectly (added by mod ofc). All of them have windows or bordered up windows though, which makes it hard if you want to decorate. Is there anyone that has made a custom diner-styled wall without a window that could work? Been looking through the mods adding walls but found none. Since it doesn't seem to exist in game i assume it has to be made by hand. I'd get into making one myself but thought, hey, I've never done this before, maybe there's somebody that knows their stuff or that it already exists. If there isn't one, anyone here that can make one? You'd get my eternal love and sparkly endorsements!
  10. Hey guys and gals, I've been working on this mod for a couple of days now and it's starting to look really great. However when I go in game to test a few things I come across this weird glitch, it's probably a very common thing but I have no idea how to fix it. Here's a screenshot of my problem. (Yes there's supposed to be a wall there.)
  11. It can be tiresome to equip settlers with armor, weapons and ammo individually. Therefore, I was thinking whether someone would be able to create a special "container" where you can put the items you wish for your settlers to equip themselves with and they will automatically come and equip themselves with the items placed on the container. Guards will have higher priority to equip the better quality weapons.

  13. Hey there, We all want a destructible enviroment for Skyrim or The Elder Scrolls in general. Well since theres no mod or add on for this I figured I could create a room with some of the destructible walls that are already in the game. I was thinking about the wall that you can break during your first mission at the winterhold academy. The one where you have to use a spell. So my question is: Does anyone know where in the creation kit i can find it? :D Or maybe HOW? Thanks in advance
  14. Hey, after I found the right door for my project I need to rewrite the script for it. My plan is to create a room full of the saarthal doors (the one from the winterhold academy quest) that you can destroy without the need to wear the amulet and withouth it need to be a spell. So I found the script and it reads as followed: Again, the goal is to rewrite it so that you don't need the quest, the amulett or a spell. Can someone help me with that? Thanks
  15. Hello there, I'm new to modding. I only made followers or npc's for personal use, now I decided I want to make dungeons and guildquarters, again for personal use. But what I had most trouble with, were making floors and especially walls fit eachother. When I want to make a wall, I try to make them fit eachother. I make the use of "f" and rotation. Eventually, I still notice there are little gaps somehow. So is there a way to make several walls fit eachother perfectly instead of doing it manually? Also, I rotate my walls with the right mouse button and with the "w' command. When I make walls and I'm satisfied, I copy paste them so I can make them parallel with eachother, to make a long hallway. I failed since they never go parallel. Even when rotating or using "w" command, I can't make them parallel with eachother. Is there any way how to fix this? Thank you in advance, feel free to point out grammar mistakes, I have much to learn. I work with creationkit
  16. Soooo... I started to mod my Skyrim again and began with my texture mods (Skyrim HD 2K). I don't remember having this weird texture in my old game. Is that normal for Skyrim HD 2K and one of my other mods will overwrite it or did I something wrong? (The picture is not from my game but the texture looks the same)

Hi...i´m a big fan of skyrim,but i have no idea how to make a mod,so i try to trow an idea and request to all the genius how make skyrim even greather....the mod makers...a mod to sneak behind the walls,like snake in metal gear...it could be beautifull to the players ho love the sneak play in skyrim...hope someone could make it possible....thanks to all...long life to skyrim!!!
  18. Any chance someone has, or is willing to, give access to crafting bubble turrets through a mod? I found one mod that does, but console commands are required to turn them to ceiling mount and there's no wall options. I'd like to be able to mount turrets to walls and ceilings, whether with a power cable or adding a couple fusion cores into the crafting materials, or both. The former would allow the addition of a console to control their functions. In addition, wall and ceiling mounted spotlights would be neat. Thanks for looking. Tyler
  19. Hey everyone, I'm currently making a mod and am constructing the main settlement of the worldspace. As you know from the title I am looking for someone who can make me some simple scrap walls and awnings to match the aesthetic of the existing alternate wood shacks.   20. I've done some searching and couldn't find anything to match my criteria. What I'm looking for is snapping interrior walls. The standard walls won't snap into place if theres anything else on that face like a floor or another building segment. I wanna be able to section off pieces of my building into descreet rooms with a view without compromising on my balcony choices :smile: Most walls can be taken care of by creatively using the prefab parts, but theres usually 1 wall or a balcony end that needs to be covered to make it seamless, an interior wall with a door would be fabulous ! I am aware of a mod called 'place in red' but its not actually a mod, its a script for cheat engine and I don't want to go that route. To give an idea of what I'm after. This balcony end. This balcony end as well And this wall would be splendid with a door.
  21. I got Hearthfire last Sunday, and I had no problems. But recently I've had a... bug? Where when I go to open the doors into the manor, bedrooms, kitchen or trophy room I meet a wall. Every door in (and out of the house) has a wall intercepting it. I can get in and out the house fine, but I can't go into the extra rooms, neither can anyone in the house (Adopted children, husband, bard, steward ect.) I do have mods, but nothing to do with Lakeview. And I can't go back to a save where this wasn't a problem because that would mean going down about 10 levels, and when I've tried the problems just saved there, and if I go back it keeps transferring to that save. Is there anyway I can fix this?
  22. Hi there! Wanted to just say, it'd be really cool if someone could make an Embrasured wall. Basically imagine half a wall, then a narrow gap where a turret could shoot through, then the rest of the wall. Think about the possibilities for base defence. Maybe have one wall have the gap at normal standing height, then another at turret height. Just a little settlement suggestion.

Another request for the modding community I know its possible but it hasn't been Fully done the way it should be... for all settlements containing prewar buildings (mainly Sanctuary), can you guys fix the walls and roofs. And NO, before you say anything i don't want a prewar look with green grass and fresh paint... i want one that looks as if it is a building that has been around for two hundred years and survived and apocalypse. I just want to have the holes in the roof and walls fixed but with the same textures as the vanilla game. -Patch holes in roof -Patch holes in walls -NO prewar look -Looks as if it has been through apocalypse -also if possible (applies to sanctuary) fix the shelves built into the houses so they aren't collapsed.   24. Day 7 of my frantic search for a Whiterun double-door and Whiterun walls id. Still nothing. I'm typing this from the pit of anguish and despair in which I fell after the painfull realization I will never build my Skyrim's Little House on the Prairie. This world is cruel. Good heavens, why do I have to suffer like this? I've reached a point where my moral limits are fading away. Yes, in attempt to gain attention I'm willing to do things I never thought.   25. I didn't know how else to call it, but I got curious as I may need work for this in the future. But how can I take the camera visual of first person and slab it onto say a static object? As reference I'm talking about when the player is forced into a tight squeeze where the camera cannot fit without glitching (or your body is too big.) Like in the dark brotherhood when you hide inside the coffin and see the Night mothers face up really close. I believe the camera was switched for that, as I cannot fit my player into the coffin otherwise. So the main question is this, how can I change what the game is focusing on? instead of the player, how would I get it to focus on the inside of a draugr coffin, like you were hiding inside it.
