So FOSE is not being detected by Fallout 3 goty (I have it on Steam), according to the Wanderers Edition mod. I know i've got the right version, and I know its in the right location and I'm launching from FOSE launcher (im not a scrub, I've used script extenders before including FOSE). For some reason its just not being detected. I even tried using v1.3 b2 which is the most current beta version. Any ideas? I cant figure out why FWE isnt detecting FOSE.

I've tried everything. Spent hours trying to fix this problem and I'm about to give up.. The game crashes after the loading screen that occurs when you sleep in the bed in the alternate beginning. The game appears to run normally without FWE installed. I've done the following: changed my .ini fileused FO3 Edit to merge filesI'm running the game through FOSEI've installed FOIPI've probably missed something else I've done but I've gone through so many things I simply can't remember -__- I have an i7 quad core processor, high end NVIDIA graphics card. If other info is needed I'll post it. All right, so I'm new to modding, although I've been reading threads on here for quite some time, and so I decided to go for it. I downloaded Fallout 3 via Steam, and had to apply the d3dl.dll file and the # of processors trick, and got it to work. I then downloaded the Unofficial Patch and Fallout Mod Manager, and it still worked, I could play forever. I then decided to go for something a bit more. So I got the Fallout Script Extender (FOSE) and the Fallout Wasteland Edition (FOWE), put the FOSE .dll files as well as the launcher into the area it was supposed to go (The folder with the fallout.exe, not the one where I had to go to put the processor trick in), and then got FOMM to go to town on unpacking, installing, and finally activating the FOWE Pack 1, Pack 2, 6.03 patch, and the HUD update (I can't remember its exact name). Everything was ready to go, from the installation, to the order of loading, to making sure to use the FOSE loader. And yet it crashed. In less than 10 seconds after clicking the launcher, it crashed back to the desktop. For hours I tried reinstalling, triple-checking, refreshing, using different Zip software, everything, but it still is crashing. If anyone has any ideas at all why it may be doing this, it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me out. General information and specifications below: -Windows 7 (x64) -Dual-Core G640 @ 2.8GHz Intel Pentium Processor (2 Cores, 2 Logical Processors) -Intel HD Graphics Family (Tells no more information) -6GB of RAM -Yes, I have run the game unmodded, as well as modded before. -Yes, I have all the Master applications, like Fallout3, Broken Steel, The Pitt, etc. -Yes, they are in the right order, I have tried getting 4 different people to make comparisons with the guides. If you are looking for the exact order, I no longer have it due to uninstalling, but I assure you, I used the EXACT order defined by the author MULTIPLE times. -I have done multiple Restores from Restore Points to insure that there is absolutely nothing left over from previous installations. -I did a factory reset less that 48 Hours ago on my computer, so it couldn't be anything left over from anything else. -The only ModI had prior to downloading FOWE was the Unofficial Patch. -No, I have no idea what I'm doing, so I'm just leaving all info that might be of use to get this fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated, once again. Edit: Thought I might include that I'm running the Steam version of F3:GOTY.

PROBLEM SOLVED, Go to the bottom and view my last reply (or just search for: Update 4 - success) Hallo everyone, I have just installed Fallout 3 GOTY from steam and wanted to install Wanderers Edition. SO, all the lovely facts first: PC Spec: OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Motherboard: Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 CPU: Intel i7-2600k, 3.4GHz RAM: 20gb DDR3 GFX: Geforce GTX 660 How I mod FO3 I use Fallout Mod Manager (0.13.21)I installed everything using Package managerI have enabled Archive InvalidationSo what exactly happens Mr. Sp34k? Well you see, I choose the alternative start but after about 15-20 seconds my game simply freezes. So how do you start the game?I have FOSE (Fallout script extender) installed in the root dir. of Fallout 3. But I usually just use "FOSE" from the Mod manager. Have you done any research, Mr.?Yes I have. One of the "solutions" I would were to make some changes in the fallout.ini (documents -> My games -> Fallout3), I currently have:iNumHWThreads=1bUseThreadedAI=1 Fallout 3 Mods Load: Fallout3.esm Anchorage.esm ThePitt.esm BrokenSteel.esm PointLookout.esm Zeta.esm CRAFT.esm CALIBR.esm Project Beauty.esm FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm Mart's Mutant Mod.esm EVE.esm DarNifiedUIF3.esp Project Beauty- Broken Steel.esp Project Beauty- Point Lookout.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced (BrokenSteel).esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Optional Restore Tracers.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Project Beauty.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Project Beauty (Followers Enhanced).esp WeaponModKits.esp WeaponModKits - FWE Master Release.esp WeaponModKits - OperationAnchorage.esp WeaponModKits - ThePitt.esp WeaponModKits - BrokenSteel.esp WeaponModKits - PointLookout.esp WeaponModKits - Zeta.esp EVE.esp EVE Operation Anchorage.esp EVE - FWE Master Release.esp EVE - FWE Master Release (Follower Enhanced).esp EVE Anchorage - FWE DLC Anchorage.esp EVE - FWE with WeaponModKits.esp Mart's Mutant Mod.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Zeta.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release + DLCs.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release + Project Beauty.esp I hope you guys can help  If I need to add extra details, please let me know.

Okay so I have a serious problem going on in my game that I don't know how to fix. It seems that if my torso gets injured I get a DR decrease that's not taken away when the torso is healed again. In my current save I have a -26 DR naked, on my more advanced save it's on -115, I had to dump that and redo all of getting to Galaxy News Radio, fixing the dish, getting back as well as rescuing the Rangers to to get it down to -26. I think it's caused by Fallout Wanderer's Editon's Morphine chemical (which if it wasn't added by that was added by Wanderer's Edition Combat Overhaul), which adds +15 DR and lets you ignore battlefield injuries, vital with FWE as you take a lot of them. Is there any way to narrow down which of my large mod list is causing this, is this a well-known problem (I did some searches but they came up empty), and is there any way like a console command that can fix this and set my naked DR back to 0 (well 6 as I have the Tough feat but I'd be happy with 0)? I'd appreciate any help you can offer, as this is verging on making my game unplayable. EDIT: Okay so I found player.setav damageresist, the problem is that it's max capped, so when I added a total of 121 damage resist to my advanced save to change it to 6, my new maximum is now 20 DR, adding a 35 DR armor ontop of this will just result in the DR getting capped at 20ish. Could this mean that it's just the display of the numbers that are broken? This applies to both the Pip-Boy's DR value on Items, as well as DarnUI's DR display which are both the same. EDIT2: Nope, my maxed out 20 DR just got torn to shreds by a Yao-Guai in three seconds on Easy difficulty, if that was a 95 % capped out damage reduction I doubt that would have happened. EDIT3: Okay, forget the Morphine entirely, it seems what happens is that when my torso is cripplied I get a DR penalty, but when I heal my torso again (Doctor or by myself) the DR penalty persists. I'm not sure but this could be the Triage system of FWE bugging out.

Every time I launch I receive a message stating Wanderer's Edition requires FOSE. The first time I tried to play I did not have FOSE but I then downloaded the most recent version and it is showing as active in mod manager however I am still getting the message. Is this common and Wanderer's Edition will still load or am I doing something wrong? EDIT for clarity: I am running the GOG edition of the game. In mod manager FOSE shows as active in package manager but not in the main window with load order, I don't know if that is relevant or not. I'm pretty new to FO mods on PC since I have always played these games on PS3. Thank you for your help. EDIT update: I saw this same issue discussed on reddit so it seems to be an actual issue and not just my own inexperience. It also appears to be a pretty recent thing from what I gather.
