Are some of the mods from the base game just not going to work until updated for the DLC patch?

I previously downloaded some armor mods and edited their params with Yapped Runebear. They've been working fine for months, but ever since the DLC came out, some of them are making body parts show up invisible.

I've gone back to check and make sure those param edits are all still correct, and they are, but they just aren't working now for some reason.

These mods haven't been updated since the DLC launch, but if it's for armor/NPCs from the base game, are some of those affected? Just wanting to figure out whether there's something else I can do or if the mods just won't work til updated.
