When you're hired to write for a brand your voice becomes their voice. Meaning, you don't worry about how you prefer to write - you figure out how to write in a clear and concise way that promotes the brand and makes conversions easier for their customer.

Start by getting to know the brand’s personality and values. Is it luxurious and high-end, or trendy and youthful? Look at their current marketing materials, website, and social media to understand their tone and style. Identify key elements of the brand’s voice. For a fashion brand, this could include a chic, sophisticated tone or a playful, bold approach. Adjust your writing style to align with the brand’s voice. If the brand is high-fashion and luxurious, use sophisticated and polished language. Using industry-specific language establishes credibility. Words like “couture,” “runway,” or “streetwear” should be used appropriately based on the brand’s focus.
