👏 Congratulations to the Giant Magellan Telescope teams and partners (INAF - Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica , Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian & the University of Arizona) for reaching a major milestone in their project!  They demonstrated significant optical performances through tests based on two type of #AdaptiveOptics systems:  - High Contrast Adaptive Optics testbed - Wide Field Phasing Testbed At Bertin Alpao, we are very proud to be part of this adventure since many years! Indeed, our deformable mirrors (DM) was integrated into the optical testbeds, and thanks to the measurements from the wavefront sensors, it was able to adapt its shape to correct aberrations. 🌌 As a reminder, the Giant Magellan Telescope, with its unique design will be equiped by seven of the world's largest mirror. One of its primary missions is to explore the distant universe and search for earth-like planet. 🏃♂️[Engagement solidaire] Du 19 au 28 septembre, les équipes de Bertin Alpao se sont mobilisées pour participer à la seconde édition du challenge D24, organisé par Sesame au profit de l'association Gefluc Arc Alpin : Les entreprises face au cancer, afin de soutenir leurs actions de sensibilisation et de lutte contre le cancer. 🎯 Le défi initial : parcourir 16 000km, soit la distance Paris-Sidney, et reverser un don à l'association en fonction du nombre de kilomètres parcourus par l'ensemble des équipes. Les participants, ultra motivés, ont atteint cet objectif en seulement quelques jours ! Au total, ce sont 47 800 kms qui ont été parcourus à pied, en fauteuil roulant, ou à vélo, permettant de reverser un don de 16 000€ pour le Gefluc.
