Public vs Private vs Hybrid Cloud solutions: which is right for your organization? That depends on what you need. In this post we explain the difference, and which solutions work best for different needs. Public Cloud: Cloud services offered over the internet by third-party providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud). They're cost-effective, scalable, and accessible from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. The disadvantages are that there might be security concerns, as the data is stored off-site, and you have less control over infrastructure.    Private Cloud: Dedicated infrastructure used exclusively by one organization, either on-premises or hosted by a third party. The advantages of these solutions are the enhanced security and customization options, which also aid compliance with regulations. But they have higher costs and limited scalability, as they require additional investment in infrastructure.    Hybrid Cloud: Combines public and private clouds, allowing data and applications to be shared between them. The flexibility, scalability with control, and the disaster recovery options are a big plus. The disadvantages of Hybrid solutions are the complex management between the different cloud environments, along with potential security risks that may arise through the integrations between public and private environments.    In summary, the choice between public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions depends on an organization’s specific needs, including budget, security requirements, and scalability needs. Public clouds offer cost-efficiency and scalability, private clouds provide security and control, and hybrid clouds offer a balanced approach, leveraging the strengths of both models. We've been busy! AmeXio & Atol CD attended three Hyland Summits in Europe, held in Madrid, Paris and Amsterdam. We want to thank our amazing teams for their efforts at all three events. They spent the day sharing knowledge, making new connections and discovering new developments in the world of document management.
