Amscan Europe has expanded its global operations towards China: In Ningbo, an experienced team is working in cooperation with our headquarters on product development and sourcing. On an area of 400 square metres, there is a modern office and soon we’ll also open a brand-new showroom with around 200 square metres. Just in time for the Canton Fair starting in October 2024, we therefore invite all trade fair visitors to visit us further north-east and get to know our products and services! Ningbo is home to the world's busiest container port, which makes the city a central hub for global trade and a great location for our team . On top of that, we also have a new Riethmüller office in Hong Kong to strengthen our commercial team. There we are working on another showroom where we can also meet! As we were already present with Riethmüller in Hong Kong and China in the 1990s, it’s the perfect place and time to bring the established brand back to life!

“Do not feed!”   Hats off to the team at Globus Jena-Isserstedt - what an adorable idea to showcase our walking balloons at the POS!   The creative display is sure to draw shoppers in and has the added benefit of keeping the cute helium-filled companions from wandering off.

Right at this moment, our colleagues are working on the expansion of a shop-in-shop area in Bochum, Germany: A "Globus Partywelt" is being upgraded with a brand-new, sleek counter and fresh additions to the assortment! Shoppers can now find all-year fireworks or colourful confetti cannons for all of their celebrations.

A new shopping experience for witches, wizards and muggles: Last Saturday, our customer Bambule, a Czech toy specialist with more than 30 stores, opened a brand-new Harry Potter shop-in-shop area in Prague.   In the 1.000 sqm store in the shopping mall Centrum Černý Most, an area of 150 sqm is dedicated to the magical world of Harry Potter. Not only are our costumes part of the assortment, but we also supported the opening with a beautiful balloon decoration!

Just in time for Peppa Pig’s 20th anniversary this year, a new Peppa Pig Theme Park has opened in Germany. Located in Günzburg, Bavaria, it’s the EUs first independent Peppa Pig Park. It features a colourful mix of attractions based on the popular brand, making it a first theme park experience for pre-schoolers. In „Herrn Fuchs‘ Laden” (Mr. Fox’s Shop), kids and parents find a huge selection of items related to Peppa and her friends – among them, party accessories and costumes from Amscan. A BalloonTower specifically designed for the location is the perfect sales solution to display a variety of Peppa-themed foil balloons, which are a fun souvenir to take home!

Balloon Planet, Italy is a specialist for all things party with more than 30 years of experience, and not only do they have an extensive online shop, but also a party store in Milan. This week, they opened a brand-new second store dedicated to a wonderful selection of party decorations from Ginger Ray for kids and adults with the support of the Amscan team – inspiring even more parties with those trendy designs! One special highlight are the delicate and fashionable wedding decorations.

Just last week we remodelled our successful shop-in-shop area at Globus Ludwigshafen, including new exciting products like confetti cannons, helium sets and a variety of Premioloon balloons. In this store, our helium balloons are not only attached on top of the shelves with our handy Clip’N’Spool weights, but colourful bouquets also draw attention in front of the cash registers. For grocery shoppers, impulse buys are especially pronounced at checkout – a place where balloons can really shine! Filled with helium and ready to go, the checkout area is a convenient placement for foil ballons, which are a fun surprise gift for tons of occasions.

We’re happy to expand our partnership with REWE, one of Germany’s largest food retailers, by creating the first “REWE Partywelten” in selected stores. With these new shop-in-shop areas, customers can get all their party supplies in one go - first pick up tasty food and drinks for the birthday buffet, then dive right into the world of party to find colourful decorations! Our scalable shop-in-shop concept is tailored to the needs and available space at the individual POS. Our partners provide the space and Amscan takes care of the rest: We put together the ideal assortment; design, deliver and set up all furniture and sales solutions, stock the shelves, and train the staff on-site. The layouts provide a varied selection of products even in a small space. Besides shelves, part of the setup is a balloon counter that allows the helium bottle to be discreetly stored and the balloon weights to shine, as well as a SpinnerRack to show a big variety of foil balloons!
