HOW TO PROTECT YOUR HMI 💦 “IP”, for some people these two letters are related to computing, and for others it stands for Ingress Protection rating. Through a sequence of numbers, it classifies degrees of protection against intrusion of solid objects (including body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact and water into electrical enclosures. The IP rating system helps consumers and professionals understand the level of protection offered by various devices and enclosures. This is particularly useful for electronic devices like HMIs, as well as industrial equipment that may be exposed to harsh environments. [DID YOU KNOW ?] 🔋 Discovered in 1880 by French physicians, piezoelectricity was created and used in sonar systems. Since then, this technology has been integrated into many industrial and consumer applications. APEM developed piezoelectric switches in 2001 with the PBA series.
