Our traditional Arianespace « Japan Week » was held in Tokyo last week. It was a privileged moment to continue to deepen our ties with our partners, customers and friends in Japan. #Arianespace has proudly served the Japanese market from our office in Tokyo for the past 38 years!   🛰🇯🇵 In the recent years, we successfully launched two satellites for our loyal customers in #Japan: JCSAT-17 for SKY Perfect JSAT (スカパーJSAT) in February 2020 (Ariane 5, Flight VA252) and Bsat-4b for #BSAT in August 2020 (Ariane 5, Flight VA253).   🚀 The Ariane 6 inaugural flight of 9 July 2024 heralds a new era for Arianespace. #Ariane6 is more modular than Ariane 5, highly versatile, and capable of placing all types of payloads onto multiple orbits. For instance, with its 11.7 ton launch capability towards GTO with a delta/v of 1490 m/s, Ariane 6 is best tailored to key Japanese future commercial projects. Also, a first during this event, ArianeGroup presented its Helix space surveillance capabilities for government, institutional, and private customers.   We look forward to continue to serve our Japanese partners with Ariane 6! Happy #WorldSpaceWeek! This year's event focuses on "Space & Climate Change". 🚀 🛰 Satellites play a decisive role in protecting the environment. More than half of all essential climate variables can only be observed from space. At #Arianespace, we are committed to bringing to space satellites enabling us to better monitor, understand and protect the environment, - space for a better life on Earth. 🌍 This is the case for instance with the most recent (VV24) and upcoming (VV25) Arianespace launches, serving the crucial European Copernicus #EarthObservation program. The world’s most advanced Earth observation system, Copernicus provides continuous, independent, and reliable Earth observation data and services to public authorities, companies and citizens around the globe. #DiDYouKnow❔ Before the upcoming launch of Sentinel-1C (stay tuned!), Sentinel-1A, Sentinel-2A, Sentinel-1B, Sentinel-2B and Sentinel-2C were all successfully launched by Arianespace. 🎓 Together with ArianeGroup our engineers continue to develop and innovate to bring the best solutions for a better tomorrow in space and on Earth. We also love to share what we do with children, many of whom we will be meeting in schools throughout the week! 📸: Photo of the launch of Sentinel-2C on September 4th from Kourou French Guiana, on board the final Vega flight #WSW2024 #DestinationSpace #climate #sustainability; European Space Agency - ESA, European Commission, AVIO, Centre National d'Études Spatiales

🚀 Ariane 6 is launching into the future, combining proven solutions with innovation in order to address the changing needs of the market. Steven Rutgers, #Arianespace Chief Commercial Officer, on the "Launching into the future" panel at #WSBW Monday 16 September, highlighted the assets of the new European launcher #Ariane6; modular, highly flexible, capable of placing all types of playloads onto multiple orbits. ✅ Ariane 6 can serve constellations 🛰 with her large fairing and re-igniting upper stage, whereby we can inject constellation satellites into multiple orbital planes and altitudes; ✅ By de-orbiting the upper stage we ensure no debris are left in space 🌍;  ✅ Ariane 6 is well designed to meet our customer requirements for LEO, MEO, GEO, and escape orbits 🌐 for both insitutional and commercial missions. Go Ariane 6! Panelists: Maxime Puteaux 🚀(moderator), Jarrett Jones, Nobuyuki Shiina, Stephanie Bednarek, Tom Burkholder & Steven Rutgers | At World Space Business Week (WSBW) in Paris, by Novaspace (Merger of Euroconsult & SpaceTec Partners) cc. 👏🏾 🚀 A week ago already! #VV24 Last week #Arianespace successfully brought to space its special passenger, the #Copernicus Sentinel-2C satellite for the European Commission and European Space Agency - ESA. A perfectly executed European mission. On board the AVIO-built #Vega launcher – the last of its generation - the rocket showcased once again its unique versatility and performance, as it has done throughout its 12 years in operation. With Sentinel-2C, Arianespace has now successfully launched 5 #Sentinel satellites for the European Copernicus program, a fundamental Earth observation program providing crucial environmental and climate data for the planet. 🌍 ➡ This mission more than ever demonstrates our commitment to use space for a better life on #Earth and to deliver to #Europe an autonomous access. Cheers to all our partners and customers, the European Commission and the European Space Agency - ESA, for their unique trust. Together we are now preparing the launch of Sentinel-1C with the return to flight of Vega C. #DestinationSpace #EarthObservation, Centre National d'Études Spatiales Airbus Defence and Space, Simonetta Cheli, #ChristophKautz, Toni Tolker-Nielsen, #RudigerHartwich, Giulio Ranzo
