Highlights from Bahrain EDB team’s visit to Monaco including H.E. Essam Abdulaziz Al Jassem, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in France & Monaco. The team held business meetings with Monaco Yatch Club members and attended Monacotech industry event, programmed by Monaco’s Economic Development Department (DDE), where Nada AlSaeed, Chief of Strategy at Bahrain EDB presented Bahrain’s investment opportunities.

Bahrain EDB welcomes the interns of the 2024 Summer Internship Programme. The trainees will go through a 2-month programme within assigned departments to learn first-hand from industry experts and gain experience in their relevant areas at the EDB, the agency that is responsible for attracting investments into the Kingdom and help in creating job opportunities.

Highlights from the FS Horizons event under the theme of "Doubling Down on Finance" hosted today at the Four Seasons Hotel, Bahrain Bay. The event featured a keynote speech by H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of Bahrain EDB and a fireside chat with H.E. Khalid Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain. The event also included a series of panel discussions focused on the latest developments across payments, regulatory technology, and Bahrain's outlook for the financial services sector.

In collaboration with the Central Bank of Bahrain, Bahrain EDB hosted the inaugural exclusive event titled “FS Horizons: Doubling Down on Finance” at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay. The event gathered more than 100 stakeholders from the financial services sector and C-suite executives from private and public sectors to discuss the growth trajectory of the industry.

Recognising the importance of fintech for achieving financial inclusion, governments and regulators are playing a crucial role in encouraging fintech innovation. In particular, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has been instrumental in rolling out forward-looking regulations that have attracted global players and given rise to fintech companies.
