As part of #PinkOctober, we will be showcasing some important developments over the coming weeks on microbiomes & cancer. First off, based on the work spun out of Trevor Lawley’s lab at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, the team at Microbiotica have made great progress on their advanced melanoma trial (MELODY-1), with the first patient receiving treatment this week! The treatment being trialled is a multi-strain live biotherapeutic product (LBP), which Biose Industrie were privileged to manufacture. This particular LBP consists of multiple hard to cultivate strains. Read about the journey of manufacturing it below: https://lnkd.in/dJV5MwTf
