Biotrial received the isolators for the Meshcap project, an innovative preclinical model for small-cell lung cancer. In collaboration with Biotech Santé Bretagne, Parean Biotechnologies, and the “Oncogenesis Stress Signaling” lab (U1242 INSERM/ Université de Rennes), the aim is to control the microbiome of mouse models. Pink October: Why the Pink Ribbon? Breast Cancer Awareness Month began in 1985 to promote early detection. The ribbon movement started in the 1970s with yellow ribbons symbolizing hope, later adopted by AIDS activists using red ribbons. The first breast cancer ribbon was peach, created by Charlotte Haley. When she declined a partnership with Self magazine and Estée Lauder, the ribbon was changed to pink, becoming the global symbol we know today. Pink October honors survivors, supports those affected, and raises funds for research.
