As an L&D or HR professional, what are your thoughts on these statements? Do you agree or not? And if so, why? I had a great time chatting with Neelie Verlinden and 🏡 Kim Rohrer recently on the "HR Debatable" Podcast 🙌🏻 We focused in on 3 topics👇🏻 1️⃣ There's an HR exodus taking place and nobody cares 2️⃣ In PX Design we need to think MVE... not MVP 3️⃣Pay should reflect work, not location Full disclosure... there wasn't a lot of debate going on as we seemed to be pretty aligned on most topics😆 That said, this was a conversation packed with insights and practical advice for People Leaders navigating a very tricky (but exciting) time for the profession Link to watch the full episode and consolidated clips in the comments 👇🏻 #PeopleOps #PeopleExperience #HumanResources

🚨 New Episode Alert: Employer Branding and Employee Advocacy, why Every Organization Sounds the Same, and AI in EB is a Must.🚨 For today's episode of HR Debatable, I got to sit down with Jasmina Viso, COO and partner at SEEKNSPEAK and Tom Jonkers, HR and Talent Acquisition Expert. They shared their views on the following three statements: 👉 Employer Branding without employee advocacy has no credibility. 👉 Everyone assumes that having an employer brand will make you stand out, but in reality, every organization sounds the same. 👉 An effective employer brand strategy in 2024 must include AI. Some of my favorite quotes from this episode: Jasmina: "Whether you like it or not, you have an Employer Brand." Tom: "Everyone agrees, but nobody relates." As an HR or TA professional, what are your thoughts on this? Do you have any thoughts on what makes or breaks an Employer Brand? As always, I'm keen to read your thoughts in the comments. 🙏 You can watch the full debate via the link below. ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/emQ4N_G8 Or listen to it on Spotify (link in comments). 🚨 New Episode Alert: There is no HR for HR, why HR upskilling isn't going anywhere, and is HR its own worst enemy? 🚨 For today's episode of HR Debatable, I sat down with Careen Redman-Matthews and Kimberly Burns, Founders of the world's first HR for HR app, humaneer.app. They shared their views on the following three statements: 👉 The Burnout Crisis in HR is caused by... HR. 👉 There is no HR for HR. 👉 HR upskilling isn't going anywhere because HR is too busy. As an HR professional, what are your thoughts on this? As always, I'm keen to read your thoughts in the comments, especially since today's episode revolves around the HR for HR topic (one of my personal favorites). 🙏 Also, do check out the app Careen and Kim are building, humaneer.app!

Benchmarking is more creative than most People & Culture teams think: 𝙼𝚊𝚝𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚝𝚒𝚝𝚕𝚎𝚜 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚎𝚝 𝚒𝚜 𝚊𝚗 𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚖! Today, more than ever, we have access to so much salary information, yet finding the right salary range for a positions remains complex and for most companies is quite the puzzle. In recent years, #internal #equity is considered a far more important orientation for #compensation #statements than benchmarking with competitors. The pay transparency directive will elevate internal fairness even more. Because transparency of any kind usually leads to conversations, to dialogs about the good, the bad and the ugly. Your story needs to be strong and hold up to the pay practices and salary decisions in your company. This is just one of the reflections from the latest 𝙃𝙍 𝘿𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙙𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙩 hosted by Neelie Verlinden. I had the great pleasure to debate around the balancing act between internal equity and market data with Rachel Gibbs. Thanks to both of you for a great time. 🤗 My advise to People & Culture teams: 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀! I find that in this profession - across Europe - we are pretty aligned! :) #paytransparency #benchmarking #internalfairness Check the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/dRmucEYF

"Why do you focus on what other companies do, instead of understanding why you're doing what you do now?" In our latest episode of HR Debatable we talk about fair compensation strategies: Should companies prioritize internal equity over external benchmark data when defining salaries? 💼💰 The debate is fueled by an insightful conversation that Sarah Maximilian had with Neelie Verlinden, and a compelling post by Rachel Gibbs that resonated deeply with Sarah's perspective: 🤝 Rachel's post highlighted the imperfections in market data and the struggle of employers with both external and internal information. In a time of rapid inflation and costly access to benchmark data, is internal equity the guiding star for fair compensation? 🌟 But it doesn't stop there. With the advent of live data and AI, the landscape is changing fast. How should companies adapt to the shifting balance of information power? Tune in to HR Debatable as we explore the balance between what we think we know and what we should know!
