🏆 At Ceva, we regularly organise internal awards around the world to recognise collective initiatives by our employees: the #ImpactAwards. 🇭🇺 This year, with more than 110 proposals, our colleagues from the Ceva Phylaxia campus in Hungary received the international award. Their idea: to modify part of an industrial machine to reduce waste production. Thanks to this innovation proposed by our employees, the amount of waste initially produced on this equipment was reduced to zero. 🌍 Last year, we shared promising insights from the FAO , revealing how improved #animalhealth could significantly reduce livestock greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 10% 🌿 A recent study published by The Royal Society ("Improve animal health to reduce livestock emissions: quantifying an open goal") echoes the key role played by animal health in improving livestock environmental performance. However, the study reveals that the topic is not prioritized due to poor quantification of the benefits. The report proposes a framework with a rigorous methodology to quantify the link between animal health and greenhouse gas emissions, which can drive positive action, support cost-effective food production, and enhance animal welfare—a win-win for sustainability.
