The Istituto Marangoni #school in Paris is soon to be completed! Located at the intersection of rue de #Lubeck and rue #Boissiere in Paris 75016, the project consists of the creation of Istituto Marangoni Paris’s new campus, about 3000 m2 of classrooms, auditoriums, meeting rooms, offices…. While transforming and reformatting an old 19th century building, the project extends through an elongated architectural and urban figure, such to form a new courtyard; allowing dialogue in between the old and the new buildings. It creates an imbricated figure embedded in a very Parisian Urban fabric. The architectural #staircase is projected towards the garden which reunifies different levels, such to form an homogeneous #campus experience. The #Marangoni team, students, professors, artists, creators will be able to explore infinite new cinematic #fashion and #creative immersions. After 10 extraordinary years as an associate of #RemKoolhaas / OMA , and founding an agency in 2014 called [#cba], then finally 10 structuring years for the #agency, we are embarking on our third decade! Celebrating 10 years is a work of achievement and #memorabilia, a project aimed at taking stock of the years gone by and #reinventing ourselves. For the celebration, [cba] collaborated with Anne Sedel-Mainfroy , an artist who works on materializing #memory. She explores memories that can be held in a hand, like a #telephone, and put in a pocket. This leads to ‘THE HERE&NOW’ #experience. In a world of acceleration, we propose an #exhibition suggesting a step back. What is the relationship between the creative world of [cba] and Anne's compositions of handheld memories? A walk through our #laboratory at 15 Villa Seurat main office is guided by selected #images and motivated by questions about continuous dialogue between the two worlds. Each wall is a #canvas, where a constellation of projects that have underwent a loss of #scale and of #architectural references gradually takes shape. It creates an #introspective documentary, combining #images of the studio process and the artist's attempts to exhaust moments. THE HERE & NOW experience, fragments of life in #images: #drawings, #models, and #collages are the doors of time that open onto the present moment. A fine start to the following of [cba].
