Powering change: The CMA CGM PASSION makes historic debut 🇮🇩 🇵🇭 We’re proud to announce the maiden call of the CMA CGM PASSION, 7,327 TEU LNG-powered vessel, to Indonesia and the Philippines, marking a key milestone for sustainable shipping in the region! In Indonesia, the vessel was the first LNG-powered ship to call at Jakarta and Surabaya, warmly received by port authorities as it aligns with the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision for sustainable port development. 🌍 Signing of the “Declaration on the Decarbonisation of Global Shipping" during Hamburg Sustainability Conference 🤝 CMA CGM participated in a major conference on sustainable shipping, organized by the United Nations (UNDP), the German Federal Government (BMZ), the Michael Otto Foundation for Sustainability, and the city of Hamburg. During this event, we signed the "Declaration on the Decarbonisation of Global Shipping." This commitment reaffirms our intention to reduce carbon emissions and promote more sustainable solutions in the maritime industry. Mirja Nibbe, General Manager of CMA CGM Germany Cluster, also took part in a panel discussion on the decarbonisation of maritime transport and the supply chain, highlighting the importance of durable energy sources and the development of appropriate infrastructure.
