The LCT 200 setting new maritime boundaries Capable of transporting heavy payloads of up to 200 tonnes at sea, the first-ever landing craft designed and built by CMN - Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie sets new standards for maritime operations. The LCT 200 is engineered to support diverse vehicle and equipment payloads and execute seamless amphibious and landing operations. The LCT 200 can deploy ground forces, carrying up to 260 infantrymen, or provide support for humanitarian aid missions. Its compact 5.25-meter boat with a dedicated crane ensures efficient disembarkation and transshipment operations. Its innovative hard chine hull design maximizes waterline length and beaching capabilities while maintaining a shallow draft. CMN’S OCEAN EAGLE 43 FLEET CONTINUES TO GROW🌊 The next eco-friendly Ocean Eagle 43 has hit the water, marking a new chapter in maritime innovation as it successfully completed its final sea trials. Simultaneously, the seventh "Ocean Eagle 43" was launched on June 19th, with sea trials scheduled for mid-August. This progress represents a significant advancement in strengthening the ocean patrol trimaran fleet and reaffirms our commitment to sustainable, green energy solutions. The Ocean Eagle 43 boasts a versatile design and multi-hull structure, featuring a slender main hull that enhances stability, reduces fuel consumption, and increases speed and autonomy. The new branch of the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V.) Institute for Maritime Energy Systems was inaugurated on the premises of the German Naval Yards Kiel GmbH in Kiel. The opening event was followed by presentations on cutting-edge maritime research and the future of shipping, lively panel discussions, and a DLR exhibition. The DLR Institute of Maritime Energy Systems develops systems for emission-free ship operation and plans to set up large-scale test facilities for experimental research and testing of alternative ship propulsion systems, fuel cells, batteries, and alternative energy sources for maritime applications. The Institute will also research options for using and storing alternative fuels at sea and on land.
