À propos
North of the Medoc, on the hill of Saint-Estèphe. At the bend of the road are the majestic pagodas of Cos d'Estournel. The residence of the Maharajah of Saint – Estèphe is a real palace, entirely dedicated to wine. This had been desired by Louis-Gaspard d'Estournel, who praised it around the world, in India in particular, from where he brought this penchant for the Orient and exoticism. Property since 2000 of Michel Reybier, Cos d'Estournel pursues its destiny, between audacity and humility. The unique style of Cos d'Estournel, born of a sublime terroir magnified with respect by the passion of men over the centuries, made from his discovery a true journey.

To store wine properly, it is essential to maintain a stable temperature between 10 and 15°C and a humidity level of 70-80%. Bottles should be stored horizontally, in darkness, away from vibrations and strong odors. Variation in temperatures and exposure to light can alter the wine, as can repeated movement of the bottles. These conditions will help preserve the quality and aromas of your wines.

Saint-Estèphe is a wine-producing village with a history dating back to the Middle Bronze Age. Located along the Gironde estuary, it benefited from a strategic position for trade early on. By the 13th century, monks had further developed viticulture, enhancing local prosperity. The Dutch later drained the marshes, transforming Saint-Estèphe into a prominent wine region where the concept of "Cru" attracted an international clientele. In the 19th century, the 1855 classification solidified its prestige, including two classified Second Growth, such as Cos d'Estournel.
