🌟👷♂️ Unearthing Talent: Employee Spotlight 👷♂️🌟   With an impressive 38-year career in the mining industry, Ronald Beeslaar started in South Africa in 1987 and has since made significant contributions on various mining projects around the world.      Ron has been with DTP since 2014, taking on key management roles at the Kibali and Gounkoto mines, and managed the continuous improvement for the Barrick mine sites. He is currently in the Tinguilinta mine working alongside Guinea Aluminium Corp. Prior to joining DTP, Ron spent six years at Thiess Indonesia.     A few highlights of Ron’s career include the revitalisation of the Sangatta Coal Mine in Northeast Kalimantan and implementing drill and blast best practices at Gounkoto Mining Services.      Outside of work, he enjoys bike riding and long road trips on his Harley Davidson with his wife.    #DTPTeam #EmployeeHighlight #MiningIndustry #Leadership 

Meet our newly appointed Business Development Director, Marcel Damen   Marcel brings a wealth of experience in mining, with over 30 years of operational and contractual management experience, developing and running large scale mining projects on the African Continent.   Prior to joining us, Marcel has held key positions at Ausdrill, African Mining Services, and Rangold Resources, to name a few, and was instrumental in developing and operating Randgold’s mines in West Africa, directing and steering diverse teams on the mine sites, ensuring safe and efficient working environments, and promoting the development and growth of local talent.    Marcel’s impressive track record and vision will help drive our next phase of growth and innovation at DTP. We are thrilled to announce the deployment of 4 fully electric SANY trucks that will operate on the ROMpad at the Kibali Gold Mine project — a groundbreaking achievement and a first for DTP! 🚛🌱     The SKT105E trucks, featuring two electric motors with a peak power of 740 kW and a 420-kWh battery capacity, are the first battery-electric equipment to be used on a DTP site. This advancement represents a significant step towards a more sustainable future, enabling us to reduce our carbon footprint and enhance sustainability in mining operations.     The project is projected to save up to 900 tons of CO2 annually, cutting our carbon footprint by up to 80% compared to current solutions for this specific application. We recently conducted certification evaluations on our mining project in Guinea for various heavy machinery, including the Wheel Loader Komatsu WA800-3EO and the Renault Truck K500. 🚛     We're pleased to report a 100% success rate for both machines by all participants achieving their certifications on the day.      A huge congratulations to all participants for their incredible dedication and hard work. 🌱 Cultivating Health and Community: Our Garden Initiative at the Kibali Gold Mine 🌿     Under the expert care of our gardener, Edouard Godi Boboto, and with guidance from Simon Kimbangu and Sebastien Lambert, the team have been growing a variety of fresh produce for our canteen including lettuce, radishes, basil, and parsley. Thanks to this initiative, the team can enjoy project grown vegetables and herbs every day, greatly enhancing the quality and balance of our meals. 🌾🥗     We care deeply about the health and wellbeing of our project personnel, and this garden is a step towards ensuring everyone has access to fresh, organic produce. The K500 is renowned for its durability, power, and efficiency, making it a perfect addition to our fleet as we continue our commitment to excellence.     Our continued partnership has led to a dedicated 10X4 model developed by Renault Trucks specifically for DTP. This customised design ensures we can operate more efficiently and effectively, while continuously improving the safety and truck reliability.     This special delivery marks the milestone of 100 Renault Trucks delivered to our mining project in Guinea, thanks to our strong partnership with Renault Trucks. This year, our annual Plant and Machinery Seminar was held in Morocco bringing together 17 dedicated employees to discuss best practices, new machinery innovations, and advancements in maintenance processes and procedures.   💡Outstanding energy and camaraderie - our team bonded over shared learning experiences, strengthening our connections. 💡Engaging workshops on the latest technology and machinery innovations, including strategies for decarbonisation, provided valuable insights and fresh perspectives. 💡We explored enhancements to our maintenance processes and procedures, prioritising safety and compliance, keeping us at the forefront of industry standards.   This seminar not only expanded our technical expertise but also reinforced our commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork.   At DTP, we are dedicated to adopting new innovations that will not only improve efficiency, but also set new industry standards for safety and sustainability.   #DTPTeam #MiningIndustry #Innovation

Our recent visit to a local Kibali School underlines DTP's commitment to community development. 🏫 This initiative is about more than education; it's about building a brighter future for local talent.   By partnering with the local technical school, we identify and recruit young talents, offering six months of classroom and field training. This hands-on approach equips them with vital skills and knowledge, opening doors to career opportunities within DTP and beyond.   Each year, we train groups of 12, including community members and technical school students. At DTP, we understand that a well-trained team is essential for operational excellence and safety. ✅ We are committed to providing extensive training and skill development programs, ensuring our team remains at the forefront of industry advancements and safety protocols. Recently, our Plant and Technical Training department visited the Kibali Gold Mine for the 2024 Certification Report, including comprehensive assessments and training for two critical on-site machines: the Dump Truck 777G and the Wheel Loader 992K. The Daily Machine Inspections training which forms part of our Preventative Maintenance Program covered checking of engine oil, hydraulic oil and coolant levels, chassis integrity, condition of components, dashboard displays in the operator cabin and overall condition of the machine as well as oil sampling.
