How Does Dignity Fit Into Your #Leadership? by Michael Pirson, Donna Hicks and Ayse Yemiscigil Dignity violations are common in modern workplaces and significantly impair the relationships between leaders and employees. But treating others with dignity can have a large impact on employee satisfaction, motivation, and overall organizational flourishing. Although most leaders express a commitment to fostering dignity, many are not yet fully equipped to meet this challenge. Those who can shift their understanding to see employees as human beings rather than mere instruments can foster thriving organizations. https://lnkd.in/gxXU97Zu

How can we elevate our lives and our work to the serve humanity? This was the question at the centre of the latest #ebbfMilan explorations. Moved by the inspiring leaders and conversations at the recent ebbf Impact Retreat in Acuto (see photo), a group of Italian #ebbfmembers reunited to form a new ebbf learning circle. They were joined by other Italians who also attended the autumn retreat Piero Morano from the USA and Antonio Zarcone from Taipei. They started the learning session inspired by this video testimonial about HOPE from Adam Robarts (WATCH: https://lnkd.in/gtUDtyfG ) What is the role of hope and joy to create meaningful workplaces? If we want to serve humanity, we must first read its reality. So conversation started to ask: first of all, what does humanity need? The general consensus was that we are experiencing an epidemic of lack of hope, we do not have enough hope in many aspects of society, and more and more people are frustrated in the world of business, economy, education, politics, community, culture, family, school that we do not have what we have need, we do not have what we want, we do not expect a positive future. And nowhere is this more evident than among our young people. It really worries the group that our young people, to a very significant extent, especially in the Western world, feel disappointed. They feel a lack of hope because society has disappointed them. They do not trust our institutions, our politics, our economy, our society, our families, our education system, all our systems. So a common passion and focus was found in trying to understand hope, how we can bring hope. Some definitions of hope were offered What words are associated with hope? In the Baha'i Writings there is a lot about hope, and for those who are scientists in the room, there are over 2000 published scientific studies on hope. It's a fabulous work of art. What is hope? The belief that your future will be better than today, and that you have the power to make it as such. And it's really interesting that the first part defines optimism, hope is the belief that the future will be better than today. This is optimism. What turns it into hope is the next part where you have the power to make it hope. You have the ability to act, you have a motivation, hope brings optimism to the field of action. The importance of Visualisation Imagination is the instrument of hope. You have to be able to see that there is a future. You have to be able to visualise this mountain in front of you. Otherwise, it's distressing. Remember, we are not talking about optimism, we are talking about a vision of the future we want. Much more was shared and hopefully some of the participants from this ebbf Milan event can share more of what they found most useful, Piero Morano, Antonio Zarcone and Daniele Ghetti Ramesh Mollaian Silvia Bernardini Denise Cumella thank you for hosting this most insightful of sessions!

Fulfilled employees are aligned with the organization’s values and goals, have a sense of purpose in their role and enjoy the feelings of camaraderie, belonging and community in their workplace – perhaps as much as the salary. They are genuinely happy and know that they are “complete.” They’re satisfied with their role but are planning ahead on their next move within the company. And they’re unlikely to consider leaving the company – they’re basically the dream employee for any company. Here, we shared some tips to promote employee fulfillment and turbocharge your employees’ productivity, performance and retention. https://lnkd.in/gbk_sNfs #leadership #meaningfulwork

The Science of Wealth: Embracing Complexity, Humanness, and Dynamism An insightful article about wealth By Ryna Mi We often discuss wealth preservation using familiar strategies — governance, next-gen training, portfolio management. But are we missing something bigger? What if wealth isn't just about managing assets; what if it is deeply intertwined with human nature — a complex tapestry of relationships, motivations, cultural values, and societal dynamics? Like human nature, wealth is multi-dimensional, constantly evolving, and profoundly influenced by both our internal aspirations and the external world. So, if wealth is as complex and dynamic as human nature, why do we persist in managing it with one-dimensional tools — or at best, two or three-dimensional ones — rarely embracing the full spectrum of its complexity? https://lnkd.in/gVYbTx3Z
