This week, I had the pleasure of moderating a panel at the PEI Operating Partner Forum in NYC, joined by an impressive lineup of PE experts: Susan Scutt from Partners Group, Daniel Soroka from Graham Partners, and Permira’s Raz Khan. Our discussion focused on an increasingly essential question: Procurement and supply chain in due diligence – when does it move the needle? We delved into: - How to set the scene for success early by effective due diligence or opportunity identification, aligning with investment strategy. - The different ways to show the value and get buy in both with Deal Teams and the PortCo’s Management - Actionable tips and tricks to maximize impact for the effort, sharing insights to help identify the highest-value opportunities.   The bottom line: 3 funds with very different approaches, different portfolios, and different stages of their journey, but procurement and supply chain are invaluable levers for value creation. When approached strategically, they can profoundly influence the outcome of an investment.
