As we conclude the successful journey of our 2022 #OperationsTalentProgram graduates, we reflect on their remarkable growth and embodiment of EssilorLuxottica's values. Their great achievements and cutting-edge ideas set a strong foundation for future innovation within our organization. We were happy to celebrate their commitment and growth together with the team of Leonardo EssilorLuxottica, our innovative learning ecosystem. Now we are looking forward to the new edition of the project starting from the recruitment process. We have already engaged with almost 3,000 applicants, conducting final assessments at our Operations Hubs in France, Italy, Thailand, USA and Brazil. After years of dedicated research to create lighter and more durable lenses than traditional mineral glass, LOR, a Lissac subsidiary specializing in plastic lenses, made a groundbreaking advancement. René Grandperret developed the Orma 1000 lens using a new material, CR39, marking the debut of light and unbreakable organic lenses.
